DESIGN CONSIDERATION OF MULTIPACTOR PHENOMENA BASED ON S-BAND DIPLEXER FOR SATELLITE APPLICATIONS

  • This review is concerned with the MP (multipactor) phenomena of the diplexer for RFDU DM of next generation satellite. The MP discharge is serious problems to design RF components in space applications such ase damage of physical structure, performance degradation, and mission failure of the satellite. In this work, we employed the 3D finite element method (FEM) to calculate the critical gap points and adopted ESTEC curve, MP susceptibility zone, to analyze the maximum handling RF power in the diplexer. And this work also recommends that one should design the tx filter of the diplexer which is more wider bandwidth upto the points to escape the ears of the group delay especially the cavity type of RF components in space applications.

  • In this study PLZT was selected which has the excellent quadratic electro-optic property and slim-loop. It was fabricated by the methods of vacuum hot-pressing and sintering. The electrode of color filter was evaporated using the interdigital type masks. Through XRD have we investigated the molecular structure composition formular. Hysteresis and transmission characteristics were measured, The transmission of RGB was envestigated. We are going to study the correlation of coercive field and the nontransmited field.

  • In this study, AlN thin films were deposited on a polycrystalline (poly) 3C-SiC buffer layer for surface acoustic wave (SAW) applications using a pulsed reactive magnetron sputtering system. AFM, XRD and FT-IR were used to analyze structural properties and preferred orientation of the AlN/3C-SiC thin film. Suitability of the film in SAW applications was investigated by comparing the SAW characteristics of an interdigital transducer (IDT)/AlN/3C-SiC structure with the IDT/AIN/Si structure at 160 MHz in the temperature range $30-150^{\circ}C$. These experimental results showed that AlN films on the poly 3C-SiC layer were highly (002) oriented. Furthermore, the film showed improved temperature stability for the SAW device, $TCF\;=\;-18\;ppm//^{\circ}C$. The change in resonance frequency according to temperature was nearly linear. The insertion loss decrease was about $0.033dB/^{\circ}C$. However, some defects existed in the film, which caused a slight reduction in SAW velocity.

복합 좌우향 전송선로를 이용한 UWB 대역통과 필터의 설계 (Design of UWB Bandpass Filter using CRLH Transmission Line)

  • 본 논문에서는 덤벨형 결함 접지면 구조를 갖는 복합 좌-우향(CRLH) 전송선로를 이용하여 초광대역 대역통과 여파기를 설계하였다. 결함 접지면 구조와 마이크로스트립 인터디지털 캐패시터를 이용하여 CRLH 전송선로를 구현하고 이것을 이용하여 필터를 설계하였다. CRLH 전송선로는 저역통과와 고역통과 필터의 복합적인 특성을 나타내는데, 그것들의 차단주파수를 잘 조절함으로써 초광대역의 대역통과 필터의 특성을 얻을 수 있다. UWB 필터 특성을 얻기 위해 1, 2, 4, 8 셀을 갖는 CRLH 전송선로에 대해 시물레이션하였고, 본 논문에서는 결과를 검증하기 위해 4 셀 구조의 UWB 필터를 설계 제작하였다. 측정된 결과는 시뮬레이션 결과와 일치하며 5GHz 중심주파수에서 88%의 넓은 대역폭을 갖는다.

  • AlM thin film has been deposited on A1$_2$O$_3$ substrate by reactive radio frequency(RF) magnetron sputtering method under various operating conditions such as working pressure, fraction of nitrogen partial pressure, and substrate temperature. Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM), X-ray Diffraction(XRD), and Atomic Force Microscope(AFM) have been measured to find out structural properties and preferred orientation of AlN thin films. SAW velocity of IDTs/AlN/Si structure was about 5038[㎧] at the center frequency of 251.9[MHz] and insertion loss was measured to be relatively low value of 35.6[dB]. SAW velocity of IDTs/AlN/A1$_2$O$_3$ structure was improved to be about 5960[㎧] at the center frequency of 296.7[MHz].

박막형 $SnO_2$가스 센서의 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on characteristics of thin film $SnO_2$ gas sensor)

  • Thin fihn SnO$_{2}$ Gas Sensor was fabricated by electron-beam evaporation system and the target made by general firing method for the purpose of detecting gas components in air, especially methane gas. SnO$_{2}$ thin film was prepared on the polished alumina substrate which Pt interdigital electrode was precoated. The effects of annealing temperature and substrate temperature on the structural properties of SnO$_{2}$ thin film on glass were investigated using the X-ray diffraction. The good crystalline structure is formed when substrate temperature is 150[.deg. C] and annealing condition is 550[.deg. C], 1[hour]. And the sensing properties at various thickness of the SnO$_{2}$ thin film and the effects of PdCI$_{2}$ addition were also investigated. The good result is showed when the thickness is below 1000[.angs.] and the quantity of PdCI$_{2}$ addition is 4[wt%]. The thickness of SnO$_{2}$ thin film was measured by .alpha.-step and Elliopsometer.

  • To investigate the SAW properties of GaN films on c-plane sapphire substrates, we carried out both the experimental measuring and theoretical calculation. The experimental characterization of SAW propagation properties was performed with a linear array of interdigital transducer (IDT) structures, while SAW velocities were calculated by matrix methods. HVPSAW mode with the propagation velocity over 10,000m/s and PSAW mode as well as GSAW could be observed in experimental determination. These results were verified by matching with the theoretical calculation.

  • 본 논문에서는 고품질 적층형 수동 소자의 모델링 및 설계에 관하여 연구하였고, 설계된 수동 소자를 이용하여 안테나 스위치 모듈 내에 포함된 이중 대역 GSM/DCS 대역 분리용 적층형 다이플렉서를 설계$.$제작하여 그 특성을 고찰하였다. 적층형 수동 소자는 시스템의 소형화를 위해 인덕터는 정방형 스파이럴 구조로, 캐패시터는 입체적인 인터디지털 형태인 VIC 구조로 설계하였다. GSM 저역 통과 필터는 0.55 dB 이하의 삽입 손실과 12dB 이상의 반사 손실을 나타내며, 통과 대역 위쪽 저지 대역인 1800 MHz 부근에 감쇠극이 존재하도록 설계함으로써 DCS 통과 대역에서 26 dB 이상의 저지 특성을 나타내었다. DCS 고역 통과 필터는 0.82 dB 이하의 삽입 손실과 11 dB 이상의 반사손실을 가지며, 통과 대역 아래 쪽 저지 대역인 930 MHz 부근에 감쇠극이 존재하도록 설계함으로써 GSM 통과 대역에서 38 dB 이상의 저지 특성을 나타내었다.

  • 본 논문은 APDP(Anti-Parallel Diode Pair)를 이용한 3체배기로서 출력단에 기존의 Coupled line BPF가 아닌 낮은 삽입손실과 작은 회로사이즈를 갖는 새로운 구조의 BPF를 제안하였다. 이 제안된 구조의 BPF는 인터디지털 캐패시터와 나선형 개방 스터브로 구성되어 있다. 제안된 BPF만의 삽입손실은 대역$(16.41{\sim}19.23GHz)$내에서 0.7dB이하의 특성을 나타내었다. 3체배기의 변환손실은 기본주파수 $5.72{\sim}6.28GHz$에서 약$16.6{\sim}18.5dB$(평탄도 ${\pm}1dB$)의 특성을 얻었으며 6GHz에서 기본주파수와 5차 고조파 억압특성은 각각 -32.16dBc와 -44.6dBc의 특성을 보였으며, 위상잡음 감쇠특성은 약 9.5dB@100kHz의 특성을 나타내었다.
