Optimization of ride comfort for a three-axle vehicle equipped with interconnected hydro-pneumatic suspension system

  • The aim of this study is the optimization of the parameters of interconnected Hydro-Pneumatic (HP) suspension system of a three-axle vehicle for ride comfort and handling. For HP suspension systems of equivalent vertical stiffness and damping characteristics, interconnected HP suspension systems increase roll and pitch stiffness and damping characteristics of the vehicle as compared to unconnected HP suspension systems. Thus, they result in improved handling and braking/acceleration performances of the vehicle. However, increased roll and pitch stiffness and damping characteristics also increase roll and pitch accelerations, which in turn result in degraded ride comfort performance. Therefore, in order to improve both ride comfort and vehicle handling performances simultaneously, an optimum parameter set of an interconnected HP suspension system is obtained through an optimization procedure. The objective function is formed as the sum of the weighted vertical accelerations according to ISO 2631. The roll angle, one of the important measures of vehicle handling and driving safety, is imposed as a constraint in the optimization study. Upper and lower parameter bounds are used in the optimization in order to get a physically realizable parameter set. Optimization procedure is implemented for a three-axle vehicle with unconnected and interconnected suspension systems separately. Optimization results show that interconnected HP suspension system results in improvements in both ride comfort and vehicle handling performance, as compared to the unconnected suspension system. As a result, interconnected HP suspension systems present a solution to the conflict between ride comfort and vehicle handling which is present in unconnected suspension systems.

Decentralized Output-feedback Stabilization of Linear Time-invariant Interconnected Systems with Delays

  • We study the decentralized stabilization problem of linear time-invariant large-scale interconnected systems with delays without any system structure. We obtain sufficient stability conditions for interconnected systems which are equivalent to disturbance attenuation of some scaled system. A decentralized output-feedback controller is obtained using standard H$\infty$ control theory. The obtained controller is delay-independent. We also obtain an observer for the interconnected system.

  • In this paper, the fuzzy output-feedback controller is addressed for a discrete-time nonlinear interconnected systems with common input. The nonlinear interconnected system is represented by a T-S (Takagi-Sugeno) fuzzy model. Based on T-S fuzzy interconnected system, the fuzzy output-feedback controller is designed with common input. The stability condition of the closed-loop system is represented to the LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) form. PEMFC model is given to show the verification of the controller discussed throughout the paper.

  • In this paper, as a part of the method improving stability, the load-flow calculation in D.C. power system and the models for stability analysis are studied with A.C-D.C. interconnected power systems transmission performed. Moreover, the theory is established in relation to each control method of D.C. power systems. Then the stability of A.C-D.C.interconnected power systems is compared and considered by the way of dividing the operating control method of the rectifier inverter converter into ACR-AVR, APR-A.gamma.R, A.alpha.R-ACR. The dynamics characteristic of terminal voltage, frequency, active-reactive power and rotor angle of the generator with disturbances and load fluctuations is considered. In addition, the characteristic of direct voltage, direct current, power and control systems. From this the comparative analysis of the direct current control method, the possibility of the stability analysis of A.C.-D.C. interconnected power system is considered. Decentralized Output Feedback Robust Passive Control for Linear Interconnected Uncertain Time-Delay Systems

  • We consider a class of large-scale interconnected time delay systems and investigate a decentralized robust passive control problem. sufficient conditions for unforced interconnected uncertain systems with time delay to be robustly stable with extended strictly passivity is given in terms of algebraic Riccati inequality and linear matrix inequality. The decentralized robust passive control problem for norm-bounded and positive real uncertainty is shown to be converted to extended strictly positive real control problem for a modified system which contains neither time delay nor uncertainty.

  • This paper descibes a method for the state estimation in power systems with interconnected AC/DC system. The state values in interconnected AC/DC system are estimated using measurement values with the pseudo measurement so that the number of telemetering measurement can be reduced. Especially, the state values in AC system are estimated through hierarchical method after system decomposition including superposition bus was formed for the state estimation in large-scale power systems. The results of the application to the two model power systems show the dffectiveness of the presented algorithms.

  • Power system of Jeju is interconnected to the mainland using HVDC and that is also interconnected to three wind farms. It will be difficult to control of Jeju power system if HVDC is disconnected or HVDC is overhauled under large scale wind farms interconnected. We measured and analysed the power quality of two substation and two wind farms to assess that wind farms have an effect on Jeju system during the HVDC overhaul last May. We concentrated on the power quality like frequency, voltage variation, voltage harmonics, current harmonics, flicker. We can found that the frequency of Jeju system is very unstable during overhaul, so the frequency of Jeju system can be variated easily by wind farm's rapid output power variation. There are some benefits and weak points in power quality between two wind farms because each wind farm is consist of different wind turbines.

  • 본 논문은 고분자 전해질 연료전지 시스템(PEMFC)을 위한 비선형 상호결합 시스템의 분산 퍼지 제어기 설계 기법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 연료전지 시스템의 비선형성을 확인하고, Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) 퍼지 모델링을 통하여 비선형 시스템을 퍼지 모델로 변환한다. 변환된 퍼지 모델을 기반으로 퍼지 관측기를 설계하고 퍼지 시스템을 안정화 시킬 수 있는 분산 퍼지 제어기를 설계한다. 폐루프 시스템의 안정도 조건을 선형 행렬 부등식으로 나타내고, 부등식을 이용하여 제어기의 이득값을 구한다. 마지막으로, 모의실험을 통하여 제어기의 효용성을 평가한다.

  • This paper deals with voltage regulation at the power Distribution system interconnected with DSG. Modern distribution substation adopt LDC method as the voltage regulation method to deliver suitable voltages to many customers. However, the operations of DSG interconnected with distribution system, the customers' voltage violate the permissible voltage limits. Therefore, to deliver suitable voltage to many customers at the distribution substation, an advanced voltage regulation method is required. In this paper, the on line realtime MLDC (Multiple Line Drop compensation) method, considered daedband and hysterical tap changing of the ULTC, is proposed. The result from a simulation study shows that the proposed method can be practical applications for the voltage regulation at the distribution system interconnected with DSG and unbalanced load pattern among feeders.

  • 본 논문은 시간 지연을 가지는 비선형 상호 결합 시스템에 대한 분산 퍼지 출력 궤환 제어기를 제시한다. Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) 퍼지 모델링을 통하여 비선형 상호 결합 시스템을 퍼지 모델로 표현한다. 상호 결합 시스템의 하위 퍼지 시스템을 안정화 시킬 수 있는 분산 출력 궤한 제어기를 설계한다. 폐루프 하위 시스템들의 안정도 조건을 선형 행렬 부등식으로 나타내고, 부등식을 이용하여 제어기의 이득값을 구한다. 모의실험을 통하여 시간 지연이 있는 비선형 상호 결합 시스템에 대한 분산 퍼지 출력 궤한 제어기의 효용성을 평가한다.
