This paper describes characteristics of the single-balanced low IF resistive FET mixer for the digital beam forming(DBF) receiver. This DBF receiver based on the direct conversion method is designed with Low IF I and Q channel. A radio frequency(RF), a local oscillator(LO) and an intermediate frequency(IF) considered in this research are 1950 MHz, 1940 MHz and 10 MHz, respectively. Super low noise HJ FET of NE3210S01 is considered in design. The measured results of the proposed mixer are observed IF output power of -22.8 dBm without spurious signal at 10 MHz, conversion loss of -12.8 dB, isolation characteristics of -20 dB below, 1 dB gain compression point(PldB) of -3.9 dBm, input third order intercept point(IIP3) of 20 dBm, output third order intercept point(OIP3) of 4 dBm and dynamic range of 30 dBm. The proposed mixer has 1.0 dB higher IIP3 than previously published single-balanced resistive and GaAs FET mixers, and has 3.0 dB higher IIP3 and 4.3 dB higher PldB than CMOS mixers. This mixer was fabricated on 0.7874 mm thick microstrip $substrate(\varepsilon_r=2.5)$ and the total size is $123.1\;mm\times107.6\;mm$.

In this paper, LPI(low probability of intercept) and AJ(anti jamming) performance of the chirped BPSK system are analyzed. In the chirp method the cyclostationary of the signal is eliminated, since the instantaneous frequency is varied randomly within the whole spread bandwidth. Therefore, chirp method is considered for good LPI system against DAM(delay-and-multiplier) or SC (squaring circuit) interceptor which detects the chip rate or carrier frequency. Longer chirp duration makes the LPI performance better. From the simulation results, the chirp method has better AJ performance than DS(direct sequence) system in the PBNJ(partial band noise jammer) channel. At the same JSR(jammer to signal power ratio) level, chirped BPSK system has more robust AJ performance against MTJ(multi-tone jammer) than PBNJ.

In this study, maximum launch range and F-pole are evaluated and analyzed for the semi-active radar missile concerning various launch condition, performance limitation and target maneuvers. Furthermore, general evasion maneuvers are considered when shooter approaches to target with head-on conditions. A point-mass target, shooter and missile model is used including aircraft and missile dynamics. More realistic missile motion simulation is conducted using aerodynamic performance data, geometry, performance limitation, radar seeker performance and so on. Maximum launch range, which is the distance for intercept satisfying target and missile motion and performance, is evaluated using root finding method. F-pole, which is the distance between target and shooter when intercept is completed, is evaluated assuming that shooter maneuvers through pursuit guidance to target.
Purpose: This study was performed to determine vertical fixation disparity by Fixation Disparity Card. The purpose of this study was to investigate distribution of the curve types obtained with Wesson card. Methods: Fixation disparity curves were measured on 52 subjects with the Wesson fixation disparity card. A fixation disparity curve was an x, y coordinate plot of the angular amount of fixation disparity as a function of the power of prisms through which the patient views. The fixation disparity curve variables that were used to aid in the diagnosis and management of binocular vision disorders included the x-intercept, y-intercept, curve slope and curve type. Results: Vertical fixation disparity curves by Wesson Fixation Disparity Card were very various. Conclusions: Vertiical fixation disparity curves could be used to aid in the diagnosis and prescription.
A commonly used device to determine fixation disparity curves is the Wesson Fixation Disparity Card. A fixation disparity curve is an x, y coordinate plot of the angular amount of fixation disparity as a function of the power of prisms through which the patient views. The fixation disparity curve variables that are used to aid in the diagnosis and management of binocular vision disorders include the x-intercept, y-intercept, curve slope and curve type. Fixation disparity curves were measured on 102 subjects with the Wesson fixation disparity card. The purpose of this study is to investigate distribution of the curve types obtained with Wesson card. Fixation Disparity by Wesson Fixation Disparity Card were that in case of type I 63.0%, in case of type II 0.0%, in case of type III 25.0% and in case of type IV 12.0%.

This paper proposes a synthesis of new guidance law to generate an evasive maneuver against enemy's missile interception while considering its impact angle, acceleration, and field-of-view constraints. The first component of the synthesis is a new function of repulsive Artificial Potential Field to generate the evasive maneuver as a real-time dynamic obstacle avoidance. The terminal impact angle and terminal acceleration constraints compliance are based on Time-to-Go Polynomial Guidance as the second component. The last component is the Logarithmic Barrier Function to satisfy the field-of-view limitation constraint by compensating the excessive total acceleration command. These three components are synthesized into a new guidance law, which involves three design parameter gains. Parameter study and numerical simulations are delivered to demonstrate the performance of the proposed repulsive function and guidance law. Finally, the guidance law simulations effectively achieve the zero terminal miss distance, while satisfying an evasive maneuver against intercept missile, considering impact angle, acceleration, and field-of-view limitation constraints simultaneously.

The study was conducted in order to investigate the basic geotechnical properties of sand-bentonite mixtures with the various bentonite contents. The results obtained are as follows : 1. Optimum moisture content of sand-bentonite mixtures was approximately 17.10~18.52% corresponding to the maximum dry density of 1.58~1 .64gf/$cm^3$. As the bentonite contents and curing peroid increased, both the maximum dry density and optimum moisture content of sand-bentonite mixtures increased. 2. The unconfined compressive strength of sand-bentonite mixtures increased as the increase of bentonite content, but it did not change along the curing period. 3. The sand-bentonite mixtures ruptured at 8~15% of the axial strain and the maxi-mum shearing stress was about O.7Okgf/$cm^2$. 4. According to the increase of bentonite content, the cohesion intercept and internal friction of the sand-bentonite mixtures increased slightly in the shear test, while the cohesion intercept increased largely, and the internal friction angle decreased largely in the triaxial test. 5. Both the initial void ratio and swelling of the sand-bentonite mixtures were very low with respect to the consolidation pressure increase. 6. The swelling and shrinkage of sand-bentonite mixtures increased slightly according to the increment of bentonite content.
The cone intercept method (CIM) is generally used for attitude determination of a spin-stabilized satellite. The method is popularly used on a transfer orbit, but it is well known that it can also be used for the geosychronous orbit. In this paper, the CIM is applied to the geosynchronous orbit and its performance and limitations will be investigated from the results. The CIM impliments two sensors (Sun and Earth sensors). The Sun sensor finds the angle between the spin-axis and the direction vector to the Sun and the Earth sensor does the angle between the spin-axis and the direction vector to the Earth. By using these two cone angles, the CIM gives the direction of the spin-axis of the satellite.

This paper describes a SiGe HBT low noise amplifier (LNA) design for IMT-2000 mobile applications. This LNA is optimized for linearity in consideration of the out-of-band-termination capacitance. This LNA yields a noise figure of 1.2 dB, 16 dB gain, an input return loss of 11 dB, and an output return loss of 14.3 dB over the desired frequency range (2.11-2.17 GHz). When the RF input power is -2i dBm, the input third order intercept point (IIP3) of 8.415 dBm and the output third order intercept point (OIP3) of 24.415 dBm are achieved.
