수용자의 상호작용성과 제품관여도에 따른 양방향 TV광고 효과 (A Study on the Interactive Television Advertisement's Effect through the Involvement of and Interaction with Audience)

  • This study researches the effectiveness of interactive TV advertising focusing on the factors of audience involvement and interaction. The study began with the effective measurement of interactive television advertisements. Interactive television advertisements have different concepts than existing television advertisements. This study mainly focuses on the characteristics of audience interaction and experiments based on the data of 78 persons for measurement. In the experiments, the characteristics were categorized according to search time, specifically the number of searched pages about interactive television advertisement. Hypothesis 1 reveals that the interaction of the audience increases when the advertising attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intentions also increase. Hypothesis 2 finds that the involvement of the audience increases when the advertising attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intentions also increase. By studying these consumer characteristics and behavior, a new method of effective measurement for interactive television advertisement is uncovered. The new method includes not only existing measurement elements of television advertisement which include attitude about advertising and brand, and customer purpose, but also the features of interactive television advertisement like customer search time. According to this research on interactive television advertisement, the interaction with and involvement of the audience are highly influential variables.

Effects of Interactive Pictorial Education on Community Dwelling Older Adult's Self Efficacy and Knowledge for Safe Medication

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of interactive pictorial education on community dwelling older Korean adults' self-efficacy and knowledge for safe medication. Methods: A quasi-experimental, three-group pre- and post-intervention design was used in this study. The interactive pictorial education was designed to suit the learning patterns and psychomotor skills of older adults. The education content, dealing with safe medication, was delivered over three sessions. A total of 136 older adults from local senior centers were assigned to one of the three groups: a) interactive pictorial education plus information booklet (experimental); b) education only with information booklet (conventional); or c) no intervention (control). Results: Participants receiving interactive pictorial education had significantly higher self-efficacy (F=24.32, p<.001) and knowledge (F=24.26, p<.001) scores than the information booklet or control group at post intervention. Post-hoc analyses indicated that both the interactive pictorial and the information booklet groups had significantly higher self-efficacy and knowledge scores than the control group at the post-test point (p<.05). Furthermore, the interactive pictorial group had higher self-efficacy and knowledge scores than the information booklet group at the post-test point (p<.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that the interactive pictorial education is an innovative approach that provides a means for older adults to learn appropriate medication use to improve their own health. It empowers older adults with different literacy levels to enhance their self-efficacy and knowledge for the safe use of medication.

상호작용 기반의 VR 패션쇼 디자인 설계 (A Study on Design for the Interactive VR Fashion Show)

  • 본 연구는 상호작용이 사용자 경험에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위한 디자인 설계로서, 제작자 관점에서 Interactive VR 패션쇼 프로토타입을 분석하고 제작한 사례연구이다. VR 패션쇼 디자인 설계에서 네 가지 상호작용 요소로 선정된 카메라 시점, 의상, 이펙트, 그리고 사운드 UI 아이콘을 통한 Interactive VR 패션쇼를 제작하였다. 최종 디자인 설계는 VR 공간 설계에서 속도, 범위, 매핑의 세 가지 적용요소 중심으로 제안하고, Unity3D 엔진에 적용될 데이터의 포맷 변환을 3D 모델, 애니메이션, 2D UI 디자인, 그리고 시뮬레이션 과정에 맞추어 사용자 경험에 영향력을 전달하는 디자인을 설계하였다.

기업참여 공공 공간의 인터랙티브 디자인 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Interactive Design Characteristics shown in Corporate Participated Public Spaces)

  • Due to characteristics of modern society including technological development, various methods engaging interaction between people and manmade environment have become one of the major issues raised in various fields of deign so called interactive design. Interactive design started as the interface between human and computer system, but now expanded to interior design field enhancing spatial experience of users. Now, many corporates are looking into interactive design to bridge the gap between company or brand identity and consumers as marketing tool. The current study investigates interactive concepts and characteristics of corporate participated public spaces and tries to define their design methods according to spatial marketing strategies. Using theoretical inquiry, cultural events and delivery of corporate identity information were defined as two major spatial strategies through cognitive or behavioral approaches. Moreover, digital, constructive, and expressive presentations were found to be most common design methods. Through this theoretical framework, 7 selected samples in Korea are analyzed in order to find detailed design characteristics. It is hoped that this study may serve in understanding current design approaches of interactive corporate public spaces and useful guideline when designing interactive public spaces not only as means of marketing strategies but even for public goods.

Comparison of Usability and Prefrontal Cortex Activity of Cognitive-Motor Training Programs using Sensor-Based Interactive Systems

  • Objective: Cognitive-motor trainings had a positive impact on cognitive function and dual-task trainings led to improvements of global cognitive function. The brain activity of the prefrontal cortex (PFC) is another indicator that can infer cognitive function. This study aims to confirm the usability of the interactive system cognitive-motor training program and the changes in the prefrontal cortex through training. Design: Cross-sectional study Methods: In this study, two cognitive tasks were randomly applied to 20 adults as cognitive-motor training using an interactive system, and the same task was performed using the original method. During all tasks, the brain activity of the prefrontal cortex was measured by the change in oxyhemoglobin (HbO) in real-time using Functional Near-Infrastructure. After performing the tasks, the usability of the developed interactive system was evaluated by a usability questionnaire which consists of five items, and each item consists of a 7-point Likert scale that responds from 1 point to 7 points. Results: The HbO levels were increased during cognitive task performance than at the resting phase. And evaluating the usefulness of the interactive system, a questionnaire result showed that it would be useful for cognitive-motor programs. Conclusions: The cognitive-motor training using the interactive system increased the activity of the prefrontal cortex, and the developed wearable sensor-based interactive system confirmed its usefulness.

  • 다양한 인터랙티브 미디어에 대한 요구가 증가하면서, 최근 들어 키보드나 마우스 같은 기존의 방식을 벗어나는 대안적인 인터랙션 방식에 대한 연구가 활발해 지고 있다. 특히, 이러한 새로운 접근은 인터랙션 과정에서 사용자의 경험을 한층 풍부하게 한다는 측면에서 주목을 받고 있다. 그러나, 그것이 개별적이고 특수성을 띠는 경향이 있어서, 인터랙션 과정에서의 효과와 가능성에 대해 사전에 판단해야 할 필요성이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 디자인의 초기단계에서 행위 모형 기법을 응용하여 인터랙션 디자인을 평가할 수 있는 방법을 제안하고 실험한다. 이를 '인터랙티브 모형(Interactive Prototyping)' 기법이라고 명 명한다. 사례연구로서, '그림자 극장'이라는 인터랙티브 인스톨레이션의 디자인 과정에서 위의 기법이 어떻게 적용되는지를 살펴보았다. '그림자 극장'은 아동들이 그림자를 비추고 스크린 상의 가상의 물체들과 인터랙션할 수 있도록 한 인스톨레이션이다. '그림자 극장'의 인터랙션을 디자인하기 위하여 초기 디자인 과정에서 인터랙티브 모형을 제작하고 이를 실제 아동들에게 사용토록 해 봄으로써, 디자인 개발에 활용하였다. 총 3회의 실험을 진행하였고, 실험을 통해 아동들이 가상의 물체들과 어떻게 인터랙션 하는지를 살펴보고 제안된 디자인을 개선하는 과정을 진행하였다.

국내 양방향 방송 프로그램 유형 특징에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of the Type of Interactive Broadcast Program in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 미디어분야 산업환경에서 양방향 서비스와 기술의 시장현황을 살펴봄으로써 서비스의 활성화 방안을 위한 발전적 제안에 목적이 있다. 국내 양방향 방송 콘텐츠 서비스분석을 통해 지상파와 채널사용사업자 그리고 통신사들의 서비스 유형에 따른 플랫폼과 서비스 유형분석을 통해 양방향 프로그램의 특성인 개방성, 대화형 개인맞춤, 입체형 특성을 확인함으로써 각 특성별 지원 기술과 서비스 진행사항을 통해 향후 사업자들의 중요한 융합적 소재에 대한 가능성과 발전방안에 대해 제언하고자 하였다. 지상파방송사업자 경우 양방향으로 ARS, 웹사이트나 모바일 앱이 대부분 제공되었고, 케이블 SO와 위성방송사업자들은 데이터 영역을 활용한 양방향 서비스 운영에 다양성을 제공하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 국내 양방향 방송 프로그램 서비스 유형은 전체적으로 융합적 형태의 수익모델 니즈가 있어 새로운 경쟁력 있는 양방향 방송 프로그램 서비스 환경으로 전환이 필요한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Subjects in this study on causal relationships among playfulness, interactive peer play, teacher-child relationships, and creative characteristics were 286 3- to 5-year-old children. Instruments were the Rating Scale for Creative Characteristic of Preschoolers (Lee et al., 2002), Children's Playfulness Scale (Bemett, 1990), Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale (Fantuzzo et al., 1995), and Student Teacher Relationship Scale (Pianta, 1991). Results showed : (1) significant relationships among social spontaneous, cognitive spontaneous and children's humor in sub-areas of children's playfulness, friendliness in sub-areas of teacher-child relationships, play interaction in sub-areas of interactive peer play and creative characteristics. (2) Children's creative characteristics directly influenced social spontaneous, cognitive spontaneous and children's humor in sub-areas of children's playfulness and of play interaction in sub-areas of interactive peer play.

  • Recent paradigm in technology shifts from object-based technology to environment-based technology. Issue here is interaction among human, machines, and environment. This requires new interpretations for the space among them. Holistic interactions based on “Mom (embodiment)” suggest a good starting point for this endeavor. The past, present, future of technology are presented in terms of technology’s fundamental virtue: “humanizing technology” or “technology serving human.” Interactive technology initiative (ITI) is an interdisciplinary research group to search for the proper technology and the proper way of implementing technology: “interactive technology” or “soft engineering.” Some experimental activities conducted by ITI are presented in this organized session, “Interactive Technology.” Metatechnology, soft engineering, “Mom (embodiment),” holistic interactions, tangible space, and ubiquitous computing are key concepts in interactive technology.

  • 본 연구는 Interactive Media Art 기술을 적용한 콘텐츠 를 제작을 중심으로 사용자, 즉 관객은 단순히 스크린에 나타나는 인터렉티브 미디어 퍼포먼스를 관람하는 입장이 아닌 콘텐츠의 일부분으로서 연주자와 관람자가 일체가 되어 콘텐츠의 최종 효과를 완성하여 피지컬 컴퓨팅을 악기 연주에 적용하여 실시간으로 다른 시각프로그램과 효과적이고 적절하게 상호작용하여 최종 시각효과를 보여주는 것이 주된 목적이다.
