The Design and Implementation of A Web-based Intelligent Education System Supported the Study According to One′s Ability (수준별 학습을 지원하는 웹 기반 지능형 교육 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • A web-based intelligent education system(WEST) was designed and implemented to improve the self-directed study for students by providing them the study according to one's ability. WEST is composed of a tutor agent, an administrator module, a teacher module and a student module. The tutor agent analyzes students' ability and selects questions from a database according to their ability. The administrator module administrates subjects and students. The teacher module makes questions with three levels and administrates questions. The students module gives the questions students and the result of study. WEST was used in a mathematics subject for high-school students. Especially our system was better than the others in study according to students' ability.

  • To prevent accidents caused by changes in the surrounding environment or other factors, various protection facilities are installed at the photovoltaic connection module. The main causes of fire are sparks due to foreign substances inside the photovoltaic connection module through high temperature rise and dew condensation in the photovoltaic connection module, and fire due to heat from the power diode. The proposed method can predict the fire by measuring flame, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, temperature, humidity, input voltage, and current on the photovoltaic connection module, and when the fire conditions are reached, fire alarm and power off can be sent to managers and users in real time to prevent fire in advance.

  • In the case of using sensor in the industrial control systems, the location of sensor is not close to the system which utilizes the sensor data. Two main functions of intelligent sensor are data processing and communication. In this paper, we will show that the developed result of intelligent sensor, which process the sensor data inside of the sensor module, except for the communication function. For this, we refered to the Profibus and Fieldbus Foundation standard.

  • In this paper, we propose a new intelligent query processing system for relational database !systems. By analyzing previous research results related with fuzzy queries, a new intelligent query processing sysytem is developed and the role of each module including intelligent query processor is defined and :some algorithms for parser, query translation module, inference engine, semantic DB and result com-poser are suggested. By applying a typical example to the proposed intelligent query processing liysytem, reasonable results for the ambiguous query are drawn, and therefore it shows a promising model returning ordered result for both the ambiguous queries and general queries.

  • 본 논문은 GaN(Gallium Nitride)전력모듈과 GaN IPM(Intelligent Power Module)의 DPT(Double Pulse Test)를 통한 스위칭 특성 분석에 대해 다룬다. GaN 소자는 낮은 스위칭 손실로 인하여 고속 스위칭이 가능하여 최근 각광받는 소자 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 GaN 소자의 DPT를 위한 테스터를 설계/제작하고, 이를 활용하여 전압/전류 별 스위칭 특성을 실험적으로 확인하였다.

An Intelligent Agent System using Multi-View Information Fusion (다각도 정보융합 방법을 이용한 지능형 에이전트 시스템)

  • In this paper, we design an intelligent agent system with the data mining module and information fusion module as the core components of the system and investigate the possibility for the medical expert system. In the data mining module, fuzzy neural network, OFUN-NET analyzes multi-view data and produces fuzzy cluster knowledge base. In the information fusion module and application module, they serve the diagnosis result with possibility degree and useful information for diagnosis, such as uncertainty decision status or detection of asymmetry. We also present the experiment results on the BI-RADS-based feature data set selected form DDSM benchmark database. They show higher classification accuracy than conventional methods and the feasibility of the system as a computer aided diagnosis system.

  • Nowadays, Cars are continuing to grow at an alarming rate but they also cause many problems such as traffic accident, pollutions and so on. One of the most effective methods that prevent traffic accidents is the use of traffic monitoring systems, which are already widely used in many countries. The monitoring system is beginning to be used in domestic recently. An intelligent monitoring system generates photo images of cars as well as identifies cars by recognizing their plates. That is, the system automatically recognizes characters of vehicle plates. An automatic vehicle plate recognition consists of two main module: a vehicle plate locating module and a vehicle plate number identification module. We study for a vehicle plate number identification module in this paper. We use image preprocessing, feature extraction, multi-layer neural networks for recognizing characters of vehicle plates and we present a feature-comparison method for improving the performance of vehicle plate number identification module. In the experiment on identifying vehicle plate number, 300 images taken from various scenes were used. Of which, 8 images have been failed to identify vehicle plate number and the overall rate of success for our vehicle plate recognition algorithm is 98%.

  • Abstract-In paper, an operation support software for combustion control of refuse incineration plant is developed using fuzzy model and genetic algorithm. It has two major modules which are simulation module and optimal operation module. In simulation module modelling is performed to obtain fuzzy model of the refuse incineration plant and obtained fuzzy model predicts outputs of the plant when inputs are given. This module can be used to obtain control strategy, and train and enhance operators' skill by simulating the plant. And in optimal operation module, genetic algorithm searches and finds out optimal control inputs over all possible solutions in respect to desired outputs. In order to testify proposed operation support software, computer simulation was carried out.

Design of an Intelligent Streetlight System in USN

  • In this paper, we propose an intelligent streetlight system that has a complex sensor module of temperature, humidity, luminance and motion detection and controlled by the fuzzy logic based central monitoring system in order to get flexible and precise manipulation of the streetlight system in USN environment. The proposed streetlight system provides low power consumption and high efficiency by using sensed data from the complex sensor module, which were collected, processed, and analyzed by the fuzzy logic based central monitoring system. The performance of the proposed streetlight system is to be evaluated by a simulation study in terms of power savings and safety at the fields constructed as a test-bed under several suggested scenarios. Finally, we know that the proposed intelligent streetlight system can maximize the energy savings efficiently with the fuzzy logic based central monitoring system and selective remote dimming control by connecting it to the wireless ubiquitous sensor network (USN) using a Zigbee module.

  • As many systems depend on electronics in an intelligent vehicle, concern for fault tolerance is growing rapidly. For example, a car with its braking controlled by electronics and no mechanical linkage from brake pedal to calipers of front tires(brake-by-wire system) should be fault tolerant because a failure can come without any warning and its effect is devastating. In general, fault tolerance is usually designed by placing redundant components that duplicate the functions of the original module. In this way a fault can be isolated, and safe operation is guaranteed by replacing the faulty module with its redundant and normal module within a predefined interval. In order to make in-vehicle network fault tolerant, this paper presents the concept and design methodology of an IEEE 1451 based dual CAN module. In addition, feasibility of the dual CAN network was evaluated by implementing the dual CAN module.
