Recently, module-integrated converter (MIC) research has shown interest in small-scale photovoltaic (PV) generation. The converter is capable of efficient power generation. In this system, the high frequency transformer should be made compact, and demonstrate high efficiency characteristics. This paper presents a core structure optimization procedure to improve the efficiency of a high frequency transformer of compact size. The converter circuit is considered in the finite element analysis (FEA) model, in order to obtain an accurate FEA result. The results are verified by the testing of prototypes.

In order to provide a manufacturing system with efficiency and flexibility to cope with the changes in shop floor status, the integration of process planning and operations scheduling is required. In this paper, an integrated system of process planning and operations scheduling based on the concept of process net model and genetic algorithm is suggested. The process net model includes the alternative process plans. The integrated system is applied for prismatic parts.

An integrated structural design system can define and process complex design information that occurs in each of the design stages for flexible cooperation. It can also reduce human error on sequential design steps: preliminary design, analysis and detailed design. Therefore, it's very important to have consistent semantic expression and procedure for structural design information that has complex relationships. In this study, we introduce the object-oriented concepts and object-oriented database thechnique that provides high level semantic expression in order to develop an integrated structural design system.

Industrial safety management program can be divided three part that is education, technology, and management. This study is to concern about the effort of architectural practice to realize the sustainable architecture. It is necessary to know about the integrated design method which combines the passive design method with the active design method from the initial design phase. One case study is followed to explain the method. Integrated design starts from defining the project and goal setting, site evaluation, design concept, design optimization, documents and specifications, bidding and construction and post occupancy evaluation followed respectively. In order to construct the sustainable design, sophisticated understanding about nature and its' principle is important and adaptable application of nature and climate depending on location is followed. In conclusion, architects and specialists of sustainable design should make an effort more study.

Purpose and Method: Despite benefits of building energy simulations, practitioners seem to be reluctant to use simulations for design decision making. By means of survey and interviews, this study aims to investigate domestic hindrance against increasing simulation usability, and to collect user requirement to enhance technical functionality of the simulation. Also this study compares the Information Sharing Workflow by Stantec and general domestic design process in order to identify a direction of the Integrated Design Process. Result: Finally this study wraps up with suggestions of how simulation functionality and use protocol should be in order to satisfy user requirement and also to gather more users.

In this paper, dual rotor disk configuration with a coreless stator is proposed for the Lorentz force type integrated motor bearing system. An experimental compensation for the effects of high order harmonics is performed using the digital controller of the experimental setup. The runout profile and rotor unbalance are also identified by the extended influence coefficient method. The experimental results confirm that this compensation method effectively attenuates the rotor vibration all over the operating range of rotational speed.

In this paper, we consider a single-vendor single-buyer supply chain problem where a single vendor orders raw materials from its supplier, then using its manufacturing processes converts the raw materials to finished goods in order to deliver finished goods to a single buyer for effective implementation of Just-In-Time Purchasing. An integrated lot-splitting model of facilitating multiple shipments in small lots between buyer and supplier is developed in a JIT Purchasing environment. Also, an iterative heuristic solution procedure is developed to find the order quantity for finished goods and raw materials, and number of shipments between buyer and supplier. We show by numerical example that when the integrated policy is adopted by both vendor and buyer in a cooperative manner, both parties can benefit.

It is difficult to fabricate precise resistors for the analog integrated circuits using MOS technology. Until now polysilicon resistors were used at the analog integrated circuits, but some deviations of resistance and sensitive variation processes still cause their misactions. In order to improve these misactions, we suggest a CMOS resistor cell which provides precise resistance and excellant linearity. Also we designed the second order active low pass filter using the CMOS resistor cells and verified their superior performances compared to the actual resistors.
