Control technology has been making remarkable progress in electrical control (E), instrumentation & control (I) and computer control (C) field respectively. In order to rationalize system engineering and simplify system configuration and operation work, so called, EIC are now to be integrated into one system. FUJI has developed it's own E, I&C integrated system, to meet above mentioned market requirements of variety. This paper describes basic concept of FUJI's Integrated Man-Machine Interface, hereinafter called SINGLE CONSOLE, from some view points of E, I, C integration technology.

This paper describes the design and implementation of the DMI display based on ERTMS specification for the Integrated Onboard Signaling System (IOSS). IOSS is consists of ATS, ATC, and ATP based on ERTMS/ETCS Level 1. We propose an improved DMI display design which has single layout concept for the IOSS. When a train is in the ATS, ATC, or ATP railway section, it is protected by the ATS, ATC, or ATP equipment, respectively. Therefore, DMI should display the different information according to the each signaling system. We design DMI display implemented as single layout for ATP, ATS and ATC information. This single layout display has a well integrated look and feel using the ERTMS specification and layout. This is for the driver to perceive the information easily and not to experience inconvenience resulting from the sense of difference when the train crossed into the different signaling section. Finally, we show the implementation result following this concept.

This paper suggests an integrated method for discovering knowledge from a large database. Our approach applies an attribute-oriented concept hierarchy ascension technique to extract generalized data from actural data in databases, induction of decision trees to measure the value of information, and knowledge reduction of rough set theory to remove dispensable attributes and attribute values. The integrated algorithm first reduce the size of database for the concept generalization, reduces the number of attributes by way of elimination condition attributes which have little influence on decision attribute, and finally induces simplified decision rules removing the dispensable attribute values by analyzing the dependency relationships among the attributes.

An Integrated Data Environment (IDE) is the end state of the CALS vision. It refers to an environment where all the data generated from the entire lifecycle activities of a product can be shared by anyone that participates in the management. engineering, manufacturing, or support of the product, although the data are geographically distributed and are maintained in heterogeneous platforms. The primary purpose of this paper is to introduce the fundamental concept, architecture, and core implementation technology of an IDE. The secondary purpose is to suggest some strategic directions to the planning staffs in both government and industry. and to suggest some research issues to the researchers in academia. The reference architecture of an IDE being developed by the US DoD and that of NIIIP (National Industrial Information Infrastructure Protocol) being developed by a consortium are discussed. Two principal issues of implementing an integrated database, i.e., distributed object computing including CORBA and multi-database system (MDBS) are reviewed. As a conclusion. the author suggests that daring investment in prototyping an IDE by a nationwide consortium is essential to keep up with the advanced countries in CALS implementation.

As one of the ways to enhance the economical features in sodium-cooled fast reactor development, the concept of an integrated steam generator and pump system (ISGPS) is proposed from a structural point of view. And the related intermediate heat transfer system (IHTS) piping layout compatible with the ISGPS is described in detail. To assure the creep design lifetime of 60 years, the structural integrity is investigated through high temperature structural evaluation procedures by the SIE ASME-NH computer code, which implements the ASME-NH design rules. From the results of this study, it is found that the proposed ISGPS concept is feasible and applicable to a commercial SFR design.

It was required Integrated Network Management Architecture(INMA) with consistency and standardization in order to support efficiently communication service for operators and users. In such ITU-T(International Telecommunication Union - Telecommunication) recommended TMN(Telecommunication Management Network) which is Network management architecture for telecommunication, and intended to achieve uniform and comprehensive network management using standardized network management interface. This paper proposes C31 management services and management functions based on ITU-T and RACE project. This designs C31 INMA based on TMN concept in order to manage efficiently C31 communication network. The C31 INMA supports to manage C31 LAN and WAN devices and lines with global and correspondence, and helps Integrated Network Management system design and implementation.

The concrete-representational-abstract integrated (CRA-I) sequence is an explicit approach for teaching students who struggle in mathematics. This approach is beneficial because it assists students in the development of conceptual understanding. This article describes how the approach is used in general as well as its use with a specific geometry concept, area of a rectangle. The author will describe why one might choose CRA-I and the steps needed for implementation. Finally, the CRA-I steps will be shown with a lesson series related to teaching the concept of area. The article will describe lesson activities, methods, materials, and procedures.

This paper describes a novel concept of a chemically sensitive scanning force microscope (CS-SFM). It consists of the conventional SFM and the time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOF-MS). A switchable cantilever (SC) fabricated by the micromachining technology combines each advantage of two completely different systems, SFM and TOF-MS. The CS-SFM offers to produce both images of topography and chemical information simultaneously. First we employed a rotatable tip holder based on 4 piezotube actuators for demonstration of the possibility of the CS-SFM concept. Second the CS-SFM concept is optimized with the micromachining technology. The micromachined SC with an integrated bimorph actuator and a piezoresistive strain sensor provides a reasonable switching speed of ${\sim}10$ ms which is very attractive for the CS-SFM application. The SC is currently being integrated in an ultra-high-vacuum system to perform various experiments.

In this article, we present some derived subjects from the concept of ICT-based DPD concept for the safety of folk villages in both Korea and Japan. First, our deduced topic would rather be a monitoring system design of structures in folk villages. We, therefore, offer an integrated model of maintenance and management monitoring scheme. As another research subject, we submit safety sign or sign system installed in traditional towns and their standardization. We have draw up a plan to make signs upgrade applied to folk villages in Korea and Japan. According to our investigations, we should suggest and focus on flood in the area of traditional town in Korea. We present a water-level expectation model using deep learning simulation. We have applied this method to the area of 'Andong Hahoe' village which had been registered on World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. The final goal of our research is to propose and realize an integrated disaster prevention and/or safety system based on big data concepts for both Korea and Japan.

The Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) System has grown up as an adult today in Korea(ROK). It seems that we have only focused on the specific and technical aspects of the assessment without looking at the whole concept during the past 20 years. Thus we have accomplished quantitative growth but not qualitative development at all. This is the right time we should reconstruct the concept and move into the step for qualitative development. It is expected that the corpulence of the EIA system would be enlarged due to the introduction of integrated impact assessment system. It is necessary to introduce a newly designed method into the EIA methodology and improve the Environmental Impact Assessment based on in order to accomplish and manage more effective EIA system. To the conclusion, it is highly necessary to formulate a wholly new system which can be useful to improve the existing various systems and to follow the fundamental concept of EIA.
