Recently, the chance of dew condensation in apartment buildings is increasing because of several reasons. For example, ventilation rate has been decreased because of high-insulations and airtightness for saving energy. Besides, the humidity has been made by drying washes, cooking and bathing inside of apartment buildings. However, there is lack of resonable design criteria for preventing condensation in real life and real surroundings. Therefore, this study is aimed at making a resonable design criteria of preventing condensation by measuring the indoor temperature and humidity in real life. In addition to this, it is aimed at making a resonable outdoor condition and classifying regions by using weather data. The following are the results. The interior criterion for condensation was set up $25^{\circ}C$ and a relative humidity of 55%. The outdoor criterion for condensation was set up $20^{\circ}C$, $-15^{\circ}C$, and $10^{\circ}C$ respectively for the hard frost, middle, and southern areas.

This study is a part of ???A study of the community noise:new guideline and policy' which have three main topics and ten sub-topics. Accordingly this part deals with a transpotation noise specifying road traffic ,railroad and aircraft noise, respectively. At first, the ,roadside traffic noise of whole country in 2004 ,22 major cities of total 29 was exceeded the envionmetal noise standards, 55dB(A) at night time ,therefore 24 milion people ,52.4% of korean, who reside at roadside estimates to be exposured the basic problems of this serious noise polluation comes from:: i)It's very limited noise mitigation measures against to continuously increase the number of automobile yearly. ii) and at beginning of road design, It has been neglect to introduce the anti-noise design and layout of road structural scheme as gadient, cutting and viaduct, embankment and zonning of roadside land-buffer area and also re-designation of noise sensitive areas, etc. Secondly ,concerned with the railroad trafffic noise, a inhabitants who are over the envionmetal noise limits,70dB(A), 65 dB(A) in day and night for 34 locations of mayor cities was exposured of 167,000 and 329,000 respectively. With the development of noise mitigation schemes in line with this study it is likely that noise monitoring system needs new installation as well as common use of noise assessment index with $L_{MAX}\;and\;L_{EQ}$. Lastly, noise complaints of millitary aircraft has been rapidly increasing ,so 2.9%(1.4 minion) person demands a compansation of \2,133 billion complying with their requirements we suggest to minimise the airport noise that is to develop of noise abatement procedure ,to make new noise index, to increase budget for house insulations and also to more increase of those the noise monitoring system and to unify the management etc.

High voltage superconducting apparatuses have been developed presently around the world under AC and DC sources. In order to improve electrical reliability of superconducting apparatuses with AC and DC networks, a study on the DC as well as the AC electrical breakdown characteristics of cryogenic insulations should be conducted for developing a high voltage superconducting apparatus. Recently, a sub-cooled liquid nitrogen cooling system is known to be promising method for developing a high voltage superconducting apparatus. A sub-cooled liquid nitrogen cooling system uses gaseous nitrogen to control the pressure and enhance the dielectric characteristics. However, the dielectric characteristics of gaseous nitrogen are not enough to satisfy the grade of insulation for a high voltage superconducting apparatus. In this case, the application of solid insulating barriers is regarded as an effective method to reinforce the dielectric characteristics of a high voltage superconducting apparatus. In this paper, it is dealt with a barrier effect on the DC and AC dielectric characteristics of gaseous nitrogen with respect to the position and number of solid insulating barriers. As results, the DC and AC electrical breakdown characteristics by various barrier effects is verified.
As the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) tank contains cryogenic liquid, realistic thermal analyses are of a primary importance for a successful design. The structural details of the LNG tank are so complicated that some strategies are necessary to reasonably predict its temperature distribution. The proposed heat transfer model can consider the beneficial effects of insulation layers and a suspended deck on temperature distribution of the outer concrete tank against cryogenic conditions simply by the boundary conditions of the outer tank model. To this aim, the equilibrium condition or heat balance in a steady state is utilized in a various way, and some aspects of heat transfer via conduction, convection and radiation are implemented as necessary. Overall thermal analysis procedures for the LNG tank are revisited to examine some unjustifiable assumptions of conventional analyses. Concrete and insulation properties under cryogenic condition and a reasonable conversion procedure of the temperature-induced nonlinear stress into the section forces are discussed. Numerical examples are presented to verify the proposed schemes in predicting the actual temperature and stress distributions of the tank as affected by the cryogenic LNG for the cases of normal operation and leakage from the inner steel tank. It is expected that the proposed schemes enable a designer to readily detect the effects of insulation layers and a suspended deck and, therefore, can be employed as a useful and consistent tool to evaluate the thermal effect in a design stage of an LNG tank as well as in a detailed analysis.

This paper presents a general proposal to design and calculate the performance of a tubular permanent magnet linear generator treated here on the basis of the Finite Element Method. Optimizing the linear generator dimensions reduces the cogging force, which occurs due to the interaction between stator teeth and the permanent magnets. The generated AC voltage is analyzed and evaluated for both no load and load cases to take the armature reaction effects on the air gap flux density. A repetitive routine is followed to calculate the output AC voltage from the change of flux and the speed of the single-phase linear generator. The AC output voltage is calculated for different resistive loads, and hence, the linear generator load characteristic is obtained. The designed linear generator is capable to generate an output power of 5.3kW with AC output voltage of 222V with an efficiency of 96.8% at full load of 23.8A. The full load current is chosen based on the thermal properties of the coil wire insulations.

A study on the insulation aging assessment and maintenance for submarine medium voltage power cable systems has been performed The purpose of this work is the economic discrimination and maintenance of bad cables which is likely to cause cable system failure. 1 have found that aging status of submarine cable systems are very poor and in progress. Therefore, we have the replacement of cable terminations and repeat the diagnostic measurement Insulation status were improved with the replacement of cable terminations. I have confirmed, with the electrical md structural analysis of terminations, that the poor aging status of cables are mainly caused not by the cable insulations but by the aging of cable terminations. From the above results, I have also confirmed that the domestic diagnostic system is successful and convenient for the discrimination and maintenance of the damaged cables economically.
The insulation in buildings is very important. Insulation used in the building is largely divided into organic and inorganic insulation by its insulation material. Organic insulations material which are made of styrofoam or polyurethane are extremely vulnerable to fire. On the other hand, inorganic insulation such as mineral-wool and glass-wool are very week with moisture while they are non-flammable so that its usage is very limited. In this study, inorganic heat insulating material developed and the properties of thermal conductivity evaluated. The thermal conductivity and the water absorption of the sample in less than 50mm thickness of the board is less than 0.05W/mk, 3.0%. Bending strength and the water repellency is more than $25N/cm^2$, 98%.

In this paper, insulations characteristics by temperature changes($+30{\sim}-40[^{\circ}C]$) of $SF_6$ gas in the experimental chamber were studied. From this result, The breakdown characteristics classify the vapor stage of $SF_6$ according the Paschen's law, the gas & liquid coexisted stage of voltage value increases & much deviation and the VB low stage as the interior of chamber gets filled with mixture of $SF_6$ that are not liquefacted and remaining air which couldn't be ventilated. In addition the ability of insulation of liquid $SF_6$ was higher than that of the highly pressurized $SF_6$ gas. In this research, we want to provide the base data on designing insulation of high-temperature superconductor and the cryogenic equipments by investigating the insulation characteristics of $SF_6$.
Currently, Exterior wall's U-value about building envelope is 0.36 W/$m^2K$(Central Region), but window's one is 2.1 W/$m^2K$ according to air gap of glazing, filling gas, coating and type of windows. The door"s one is 1.6~5.5 W/$m^2{\cdot}K$ depending on material and configuration of door. As such, energy loss per unit of door is considerably larger like windows. The door for the recognition was relatively low because energy loss through the door is relatively small compared to window area. In this paper, thermal performance was analyzed through simulation targeting the door which has thermal break that can improve the insulation performance and doesn't have one. As a results of simulations, case1 was calculated as the average of 1.63 w/m2k and case 2 was calculated as the average of 4.14 w/m2k. The thermal performance of door depends on the type and condition of insulations. As a results of final simulations, Case1 was calculated as 1.06 w/m2k and Case2 was calculated as 1.27 w/m2k. As a results of the experiments, thermal performance of case 1 was measured as 1.28 w/m2k. Error between experiments and simulations is considered problems encountered when creating the samples. The effect of door frame on the overall thermal performance is slight because it's a small proportion of the door frame.

Building energy demands have highly risen in modern society; thus, It is necessary to reduce building energy demands especially commercial buildings adopting a curtain wall architecture. Curtain wall architectures have a high ratio of windows which is a vulnerable in heat insulations as cladding. In order to complement insulation performance of windows in these buildings, there are various methods adopted often such as installing blinds, wing wall and films. There are two suggestions of this paper. 1) WWR (Window-to-Wall Ratio) makes a impaction of energy demands in buildings. 2) Another one is an efficiency of blind systems which are installed in buildings in order to reduce cooling demands. It is also critical to make fundamental model for low-energy building construction by processing a lot of simulation As a result by this study, 1) an external blind system is more useful for reducing cooling energy demands rather than an internal blind system. 2) Buildings which have a large window require more amount of cooling demands. In case of WWR 45%, it needs more cooling energy rather than WWR 15% model's 3) Adopting blind system would reduce energy demands. WWR 45% model with external blind systems reduces about 4% of cooling energy demands compared to same model without any blind systems.4) it is necessary to study an efficiency of blind systems combined with renewable energy and it will be possible to reduce more energy demand in building significantly.
