Assessment and Interpretation of Bioequivalence for Two Drug Formulations using Crossover Design

  • Crossover design is officially except for special occasions recommended by KFDA and FDA for assessing Bioequivalence between two drugs one for reference and the other for innovator. Such design is regarded as a special case of latin square split-polt or repeated measurement design and its main difference with other designing methods is that each subject in an experiment is exposed two drugs in sequence. Therefore general statistical analysis is not suitable since the model for this experiment includes carryover effect in addition to period and sequence effect. in this paper analysis for crossover model with two drugs and its interpretation are mainly discussed and an example is given for illustration.

개인주의-집단주의 성향에 따른 유행선도력과 외모관리 기대가치 (Fashion Leadership and Expected Values of Appearance Management According to Individualism-collectivism Orientation)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify individualism-collectivism orientation into groups and analyze the difference of fashion leadership and expected values of appearance management by the groups. Questionnaires were administered to 376 adults in 20's and 30's living in Deagu and Kyungbook area through June 10~June 20, 2013. Frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, correlation analysis, ANOVA, Duncan-test, t-test, and $X^2$-test were used for data analysis. Survey method was used to collect data for this study and the measures such as individualism-collectivism orientation, fashion leadership and expected values of appearance management consisted of 5-point Likerties scale. Individualism-collectivism orientation was categorized into collectivism, competition consciousness, love of family, and individual focus. Fashion leadership were found as opinion leadership, double leader, and innovator. Expected values of appearance management were found as pleasure/individuality, other consciousness, and conformity. This indicates that women showed high opinion leader, double leader, and innovator of fashion leadership and pleasure/individuality, and conformity of expected values of appearance management while men care more about competition consciousness, love of family, and individuality focus of individualism-collectivism orientation. Individualism-collectivism orientation showed significant correlation with the sub-variable of fashion leadership and expected values of appearance management. Individualism-collectivism orientation were classified into three groups such as competition collectivism, individuality, and low individual-collectivism. A test of significance in groups was determined by demographic variables like gender, age, occupancy and monthly income. Groups showed significant difference in fashion leadership and expected values of appearance management.

사회문화적 창의력 교육의 가능성 제안 : H대학교 '상상력 이노베이터' 교과목 개발 및 운영 사례 (The Possibility of Social-cultural Creativity Education: A Case Study of "Imaginative Innovator" at H University)

  • 캡스톤, 디자인 씽킹 등 다양한 형태로 개설하여 학생들의 창의융합 역량 향상에 기여하고 있지만, 사회 문화 영향을 다룬 정책적, 사회적 창의융합에 대한 체계적인 교육과 교과목은 여전히 부족한 실정이다. 이에 H대에서는 기존에 분리되어 교육되어온 "사회이슈"와 "창의성 교육"을 결합하여 사회이슈에 대한 창의적 문제해결을 목적으로 "상상력 이노베이터" 수업을 개설하여 기존 창의성 교육을 다음과 같이 보완, 발전시키고자 하였다. 첫째, 사회적 가치와 윤리를 바탕으로 한 창의성 발휘의 중요성을 강조하여 창의성 교육에서 계속해서 강조되어 온 인성교육을 강화하였다. 둘째, 지금의 사회현상을 고찰함으로써 사회문화와 역사적 맥락 안에서의 창의성 발휘의 의미를 학습하게 하였다. 셋째, 의무 개별 코칭과 2주간의 실습시간, 절대평가 등의 지지적 환경을 조성하여, 평가의 부담 없이 실천적 활동을 할 수 있도록 지원하였다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 수업 목적을 포함하여 상상력 이노베이터 교과목의 목적, 운영 방법, 학생들 사례 등을 소개하였으며, 이와 더불어 수업의 장점과 가능성을 비롯한 한계점 및 보완점을 논의함으로써 앞으로 창의성 교육의 방향성을 제안하고자 하였다.

전략네트워크에서 발생하는 학습패턴에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on The Pattern of Interactive Learning in Strategic Networks)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the pattern of interactive learning in strategic networks. Interactive learning is defined as the exchange and sharing of knowledge resources conducive to innovation between an innovator firm, its suppliers, and/or its customers. The strength of internal knowledge resources can either hamper or facilitate levels of interactive learning. We assume that more complex innovative activities urge firms to co-ordinate and exchange information between users and producers, which implies a higher level of interactive learning. To test our theoretical claims, we estimated the level of interactive learning of firms in strategic networks with: (1) their customers, (2) their suppliers. Theses analyses allow a comparison of the antecedents of interactive learning of firms participating in strategic networks. Our findings suggest that interactive learning with customers is positively affected by company's capabilities and value-created activities, and with supplies is positively affected by value-created activities and technology innovation centers.

소비자의 기술혁신 수용유형과 동영상 UCC 서비스 참여수준 (Consumer's Technology Innovation Adoption Type and the Participation Level of Multimedia UCC Services)

  • This study identifies the key determinants and technology innovation adoption type of participation in multimedia UCC services. This research examines how the major factors of perceived usability, self-expression, fun & entertainment, arousal, information sharing, other's positive reputation and interface easiness contribute to participation in multimedia UCC services. A sample survey of internet users was conducted, responses were collected from 629 respondents and consumer streaming data were analyzed. Some of the practical implications of the results are follows. This research have categorized that the types of technology adoption for the participation of UCC were innovator consumer, early adaptor consumer, early majority consumer, and late majority consumer. The results of multiple regression analysis indicated that perceived usability, interface easiness, fun & entertainment, self-expression, arousal, other's positive reputation and type of technology adoption posited a significant effect in multimedia UCC Services.

Assessment of Bioequivalence with Dropout Subjects in 3$\times$3 and 3$\times$2 Crossover Design

  • Oh et al.(1999) 3$\times$2 crossover design for assessing bioequivalence when two new generic drug formulations and innovator are simultaneously considered. This design is not only more efficient than 3$\times$3 one, proposed by Lee et al.(1998), in practical sense, but also more ethical in medical sense. However, the general statistical methods are not directly applicable to both designs when subjects are dropped out in the experiment, even though it is always possible in bioavailability and bioequivalence studies because of some administrative and economic reasons. In this research we propose an inference to drug effects when subjects are dropped out in the planed-for 3$\times$3 and 3$\times$2 crossover experiments. An example is given for illustration.

  • 최근 들어 바이오시밀러에 대한 국내외 관심이 매우 증가하고 있다. 바이오시밀러가 오리지널 생물의약품과 효능과 안전성이 유사함을 보이기 위해서는 최종적으로 임상시험을 수행하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 임상시험의 수행과 통계적 분석에 필요한 여러 방법들과 외국의 사례 그리고 관련된 가이드라인들을 살펴볼 것이다.

Redesign and Evaluation of a Chickpea Harvester

  • Purpose: Slow manual harvesting of rain-fed chickpeas cultivated in fallow fields in developing countries have encouraged the design of a mechanical harvester. Methods: A tractor-pulled harvester was built, in which a modified stripper header detached pods from an anchored plant and a chain conveyor transferred material. The stripper harvester was redesigned to use: 1) the maneuverability of tractor-mounted frames, 2) the adaptability of floating headers, and 3) the flexibility of pneumatic conveyors. Results: A mobile vacuum conveyor, which was an innovator open system, was designed for the dilute phase transferring mode for both grain and material other than grain. A centrifugal fan transferred harvested material to a cyclone separator that settled harvested material in a grain tank 1 m high. The machine at the spot work rate of $0.42ha{\cdot}h^{-1}$ harvested chickpea pods equal to the output of 16.6 farm laborers. Conclusion: The low cost and reasonable projected purchase price are the advantages of the concept. Additionally, the shattering loss reduction confirms the feasibility of the prototype chickpea harvester for commercialization.

ERP-Enterprise Resource Planning: System Selection Process and Implementation Assessment

  • Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) systems offer pervasive business functionality the applications encompass virtually all aspects of the business. Understanding and managing this pervasiveness will result in a successful and productive business application platform. Because of this pervasiveness, implementations have ranged from great successes to complete failures. This article has two distinctive parts. The first proposes and discusses a systematic process based on consulting experiences of LG CNS (leading information system company in Korea) for ERP selection. Also, the second provides the key factors that are critical to the successful implementation of ERP. The second part reports the results of a study carried out to assess a number of different ERP implementations in different organizations. A case study method of investigation was used, and the experiences of five Korean manufacturing companies were documented. The critical factors in the adoption of ERP are identified as: learning from the experiences of others, appointment of a process innovator, establishment of committees and project teams, training and technical support for the users, and appropriate changes to the organizational structure and managerial responsibilities.

스마트 폰 UI의 디자인 철학에 따른 잠재적 사용자 확보 (Securing of Potential Users of Smartphone UI due to the Philosophy of its Design)

  • 지금까지 스마트 폰 사용자는 Innovator, Early Adopter가 주 고객이었다면 가격 안정화와 인터넷을 즐기는 노인세대가 등장하면서 소외계층에 대한 중요성 및 체계적인 분류와 집중, 전략의 필요해졌다. 그리고 노년계층만으로 국한된 소외계층이 아닌 자신의 의지에 따라 사용자가 될 수 있는 잠재적 사용자에 대한 세분화와 그들을 확보할 수 있는 UI에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 그들을 확보하기 위해 iPhone의 스큐어모피즘, MS 메트로UI, Google 머티리얼 UI가 변하는 과정에서 UI의 기본구성요소(WIMP)가 어떻게 적용되어 왔는지 분석하였다. 분석결과 스큐어모피즘은 완전히 새로운 것이 아닌 사용자에게 외면 받았던 부분을 보완 개선하는 방식으로 천천히 잠재적 사용자를 확보하고 있고 메트로 UI는 터치UI개념으로 처음부터 잠재적 사용자를 고려하였지만 새롭고 획기적인 UI로 그들을 확보하지 못했다. 하지만 Google의 머티리얼 UI는 스큐어모피즘 UI와 메트로 UI의 단점을 보완하고 가성비를 내세워 잠재적 사용자 중 최종수용자까지 확보할 수 있는 UI로 발전하고 있다. 따라서 잠재적 사용자를 확보하기 위해서는 스마트폰을 왜(why) 사용해야 하는지에 대해 사용자 스스로가 공감할 수 있도록 해야 하며 직접적인 대화와 관찰의 피드백을 통해 더욱 체계적인 UI연구로 접근해야 함을 제언한다.
