닥나무 박피 자동화를 위한 닥 인피의 구성성분 분석 (Component Analysis of Paper Mulberry Bark for the Automation of Bark Peeling Process)

  • The bast fiber of Paper mulberry has been generally used as a fibrous raw material in traditional Hanji-making. Nowadays, its uses is expanded to different special purposes such as paper mulberry yarn, laminated paper, antimicrobial paper depending on its application. Despite the wide array of the use of mulberry fibers, it is still limited due to some difficulties in the automation process of manufacturing works. This study is focused on the analysis of chemical components and morphological properties of paper mulberry bark for the automation of bark peeling process. The bast tissue of paper mulberry was separated in three plies; black outer layer, green inner layer, and white inner layer. The total lignin content, holocelluloses, extractives and ashes, and the anatomical structure of the three layers in mulberry bark tissue were investigated. The analysis showed that the black outer layer is composed of about 50% of total lignin content, whereas the white inner layer is composed of about 90% of holocellulose content.

  • The CLSM and the image analysis technique enhanced observation of fiber wall fibrillation occurred in both the outer and the fiber wall surfaces during refining by non-destructive techniques. In the early stages of refining, it was well observed that a partial separation between the S1 and S2 layer in the secondary wall was made generating a space in the wet fiber walls . With further refining, it was clearly shown that the shear forces imparted by the refiner bar surfaces caused the S1 layer to become totally separated from the S2 layer as well as creating microfibrils. Furthermore, the fibrillation in the inner fiber wall surfaces could be due to the normal force (Fn) by refiner bars, friction force between a fiber and refiner bars (Fs) and inner friction force between fiber walls(fs). It was confirmed that the concept of fibrillation should be extended to fibrillation in the inner fiber wall surfaces as well as internal and external fribrillation.

  • The L-bending of inner-structure bonded sandwich sheet metal is examined by using a bending die attached to the material testing machine. The specimen is composed of top and bottom layers and a middle layer of pyramid-core structure and each layer is bonded by brazing. The variables chosen for experiments were clearance between punch and die, location of bend line on the specimen surface and clamping type of specimen during L-bending. Effects of these variables on deformation of specimen around die-corner radius were investigated. It was shown that the irregular shapes of recess are formed in the inner layer of bended parts and they greatly depend on working conditions.

Flow-induced interior noise from a turbulent boundary layer of a towed body

  • In this work results from an underwater experiment on flow-induced noise in the interior of a towed body generated from a surrounding turbulent boundary layer are presented. The measurements were performed with a towed body under open sea conditions at towing depths below 100 m and towing speeds ranging from 2.4 m/s to 6.2 m/s (4 kn to 12 kn). Focus is given in the experiments to the relation between (outer) wall pressure fluctuations and the (inner) hydroacoustic near-field on the reverse side of a flat plate. The plate configuration consists of a sandwich structure with an (thick) outer polyurethane layer supported by an inner thin layer from fibre-reinforced plastics. Parameters of the turbulent boundary layer are estimated in order to analyse scaling relations of wall-pressure fluctuations, interior hydroacoustic noise, and the reduction of pressure fluctuations through the plate.

공명 산란 이론을 이용한 단일층 원통형 껍질 내부 물질의 음향 식별 (Acoustic Identification of Inner Materials in a Single-layer Cylindrical Shell with Resonance Scattering Theory)

  • 음향 공명 이론을 이용하여 단일층 원통형 껍질 속 내부 물질의 음향 식별을 연구하였다. 원통형 껍질의 이론적인 공명 피크 주파수들은 내부 물질의 밀도 변화에 의해서는 거의 영향을 받지 않으나, 음속 변화에 의해서는 두드러지게 변화를 보인다. 이와 같은 음향 의존성을 원통형 껍질 속 내부 물질을 식별하는 데 활용할 수 있다. 단일층 원통형 껍질에 대한 음향 공명 스펙트로그램을 정규화 주파수 및 내부 물질 음속의 함수로서 이론적으로 작성한다. 이 스펙트로그램에 측정한 후방 산란 음압장의 음향 공명 피크들을 중첩함으로써 내부 물질을 음향학적으로 식별할 수 있다. 이를 실험적으로 확인하기 위하여 물, 기름 또는 에틸렌글리콜을 넣은 원통형 껍질의 후방 산란 음압장을 수조 안에서 측정하였다. 단일 송수신 방식으로 중심주파수 1.05 MHz인 음파 변환기로 측정한 후방 산란 음압장의 음향 공명 피크로 내부 물질을 식별할 수 있었다.

  • 연구는 생분해성 PLA 시트의 확대적용에 있어, 중단기적인 도입 성과를 낼 수 있는 혼합비율 및 제조방법을 위하여 혼합비율을 연구하고 적용하는데 제공하고자 한다. 방담기능의 목적으로 사용되는 생분해성 PLA 시트로 방담 기능성을 가지면서 고 내열성, 내 충격성 및 투명성이 향상된 복합 기능성 다층 구조시트로서 복합기능성 다층 구조 시트를 제조하기 위해서 3 Layer 공정을 도입하였다. 내층, Core층, 외층을 구분하여 혼합 압출하였으며, 내층과 Core층은 내 충격성, 고 내열성을 가지며, 외층은 방담기능성을 부여하는 생분해성 PLA 다층 시트구조로 연구한다. 본 연구 결과를 적용함으로써, 일반 PLA 물성 및 내열온도를 향상시켜 플라스틱 대체 및 확대 적용이 가능하다.

생산수량에 따른 Ti-N 코팅 펀치의 마멸해석 (Wear Analysis of the Ti-N Coated Punch in Piercing According to the Volume of Production)

  • Tool wear in the shearing process such as blanking, piercing and trimming is very important, because it has great effects on the dimensional accuracy, working efficiency and economy. Most of tools in the shearing process have the coated layer at surface fur good wear and corrosion resistance. When the surface of tool is teated, the wear Phenomena of coated surface layer and inner layer may be different. This paper describes a computer modelling technique by the finite element method in order to investigate the wear mechanism and to predict the wear profile of Ti-N coated tool in piercing process according to the volume of Production. Wear coefficients of the coated layer and inner layer are obtained through Pin-on-Disk wear test, respectively. To verify the effectiveness of the suggested technique, the technique is applied to wear analysis in piercing recess of piston pin and simulation results are compared with experimental ones.

  • A new forming method for metal/ other metal two-layer tubes by multi-billet extrusion (MBE) is introduced. The forming possibilities of two-layer tubes CDA 365(inner)/Al 1100(outer) and Al 2014(inner)/Al 1100(outer) by MBE are investigated according to the given frictional condition and die profile. The results show that two-layer tube composed by two types tube as abovementioned can be manufactured by MBE. Some stated variables in the forming process such as effective stress and normalized pressure at welding surface are analyzed by FEM code ($DEFORM^{TM}$-3D)

  • Alloys of XD45 (Ti45A12Nb2Mn-0.8vol%TiB$_2$) and XD47 (Ti47A12Nb2Mn-0.8vol%TiB$_2$) were oxidized between 800 and $1000^{\circ}C$ in air, and their oxidation characteristics were studied. The oxide scales consisted primarily of an outer $TiO_2$ layer, an intermediate $Al_2$$O_3$-rich layer, and an inner mixed layer of ($TiO_2$+$Al_2$$O_3$). Nb tended to present at the lower part of the oxide scale, whereas Mn at the upper part of the oxide scale. The Pt marker tests indicated that the outer oxide layer grew primarily by the outward diffusion of Ti and Mn, and the inner mixed layer by the inward transport of oxygen.

  • Fe-(8.5, 18.5, 28.3, 36.9) wt% Cr alloys were corroded between 600 and $800^{\circ}C$ for up to 70 h in a 1 atm gas mixture that consisted of 0.0242 atm of $H_2S$, 0.031 atm of water vapor, and 0.9448 atm of nitrogen gas. Their corrosion resistance increased with an increment in the Cr content. The Fe-8.5%Cr alloy corroded fast, forming thick, fragile, nonadherent scales that consisted primarily of an outer FeS layer and an inner (Fe, Cr, O, S)-mixed layer. The outer FeS layer grew into the air by the outward diffusion of $Fe^{2+}$ ions, whereas the inner mixed layer grew by the inward diffusion of oxygen and sulfur ions. At the interface of the outer and inner scales, voids developed and cracking occurred. The Fe-(18.5, 28.3, 36.9)% Cr alloys displayed much better corrosion resistance than the Fe-8.5Cr alloy, because thin $Cr_2O_3$ or $Cr_2S_3$ scales formed.
