자동차에서의 공기의 유입구에 따른 유동해석에 관한 융합 고찰 (Convergent Investigation on Flow Analysis According to the Inlet Port of Air at Car)

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차에서의 공기의 유입구에 따른 자동차 내부에서의 유동 해석을 하였다. 공기가 들어오는 유입구로서 쾌적성이 좋은 조건으로서는 유입구가 자동차의 상단 중간이나 전방위치임을 확인할 수 있었다. 차량 내부에 공기 유동의 고르게 분포가 안되는 경우는 자동차의 하단 위치가 유입구의 모든 조건들 중에서 가장 저조한 조건하다. 본 연구 결과를 통하여 탑승자의 기호나 상황에 맞게 공기의 유입이 되도록 그 유입구의 위치를 조절하므로서 자동차 내부의 상태를 쾌적하게 유지할 수 있는데 도움이 될 것이다. 본 연구의 설계 및 해석 결과는 실제적으로 자동차에서의 공기의 유입구의 위치를 조절하는 데에 효율적으로 적용할 수 있다. 자동차에서의 공기의 유입구에 따른 유동해석을 적용함으로서, 본 논문이 미적인 설계에 부합된 융합 연구라고 보여진다.

초음속 흡입구 개념 설계와 운영조건 내의 블리딩(bleeding) 유동제어 연구 (Study on Concept Design of Supersonic Inlet and Flow Control of Bleeding under Operating Condition)

  • 본 연구에서는 간단한 압축성 유체이론에 기초하여 렘젯 엔진의 초음속 흡입구를 개념 설계하고 보다 넓은 범위의 운영조건에서 안정적인 성능을 내도록 블리딩 유동제어 연구를 수행하였다. 초음속 흡입구의 성능을 개선시키기 위해서는 충격파 안정성, 충격파-경계층 상호작용 및 유동 박리를 적절히 제어할 수 있어야 한다. 비점성 해석을 통해 얻어진 1차 기초설계 형상으로부터 점성을 고려하여 충격파의 강도와 경계층 및 박리의 효과가 반영된 2차 수정설계를 수행하였다. 그 결과 설계조건에서 충격파가 안정화되고 목표 흡입 유량을 만족하는 형상을 얻었다. 흡입구가 탈 설계조건 내에서도 성능이 유지되도록 하기 위해 블리딩을 적용하였다. 질량유량 경계조건을 이용하여 블리딩 효과를 모델링 하였으며 위치와 개수를 조절해가며 성능변화를 관찰하였다.

알루미늄 다채널 평판관 증발기 내 냉매분배 (Distribution of Air-Water Two-Phase Flow in a Flat Tube Heat Exchanger)

  • The R-134a flow distribution is experimentally studied for a heat exchanger composed of round headers and 10 flat tubes. The effects of tube protrusion depth as well as mass flux, and quality are investigated, and the results are compared with the previous air-water results. The flow at the header inlet is stratified. For the downward flow configuration, the liquid distribution improves as the protrusion depth or the mass flux increases, or the quality decreases. For the upward configuration, the liquid distribution improves as the mass flux or quality decreases. The protrusion depth has minimal effect. For the downward configuration. the effect of quality on liquid distribution is significantly affected by the flow regime at the header inlet. For the stratified inlet flow, the liquid is forced to rear part of the header as the quality decreases. However, for the annular inlet flow, the liquid was forced to the frontal part of the header as the quality decreased. For the upward flow, the effect of the mass flux or quality on liquid distribution of the stratified inlet flow is opposite to that of the annular inlet flow. The high gas velocity of the annular flow may be responsible for the trend. Generally, the liquid distribution of the stratified inlet flow is better than that of the annular inlet flow. Possible explanation is provided from the flow visualization results.

Effects of inlet working condition and heat load on supercritical CO2 compressor performance

  • The supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) Brayton power cycle is more effective than the conventional power cycle and is more widely applicable to heat sources. The inlet working conditions of the compressor have a higher influence on their operating performance because the thermophysical properties of the CO2 vary dramatically close to the critical point. The flow in the sCO2 compressor is simulated and the compressor performance is analyzed. The results show that the sCO2 centrifugal compressor operates outside of its intended parameters due to the change in inlet temperature. The sCO2 compressor requires more power as the inlet temperature increases. The compressor power is 582 kW when the inlet temperature is at 304 K. But the power is doubled when the inlet temperature increases to 314 K, and the change in the isentropic efficiency is within 5%. The increase in the inlet temperature significantly reduces the risk of condensation in centrifugal compressors. When the heat load of the sCO2 power system changes, the inlet pressure to the turbine can be kept constant by regulating the rotational speed of compressors. With the increase in rotational speed, the incidence loss and condensation risk increase.

  • 최근 가스터빈 발전기는 전력계통의 주파수 조절용으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 가스터빈의 입구온도는 기기의 성능과 수명에 관련된 핵심요소이지만 터빈구조 및 운전환경 등의 이유로 입구온도를 직접 측정하지 않고 가스터빈 배기가스 온도 측정값을 이용하여 입구온도의 추정 값을 구해 이를 연소제어에 사용하고 있다. 특히 재열 가스터빈의 입구온도는 안정적 운전관리에 있어서 매우 중요하지만 제작사가 산출 식에 대한 정보를 제공하지 않고 있어 현장 실무자들은 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 폴리트로픽 과정식의 기반 위에 머신러닝 기반의 선형회귀 분석기법을 사용하여 가스터빈의 입구온도를 추정할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 선형회귀분석을 통해 얻어진 입구온도 산출 모델식의 유용성 분석과 검증을 통해 입구온도 산출 알고리즘을 제안함으로서 재열 가스터빈 연소튜닝 기술수준 향상에 도움이 되고자 한다.

  • The air and water flow distribution are experimentally studied for a round header-ten microchannel tube configuration. Three different inlet orientations (parallel, side, normal) were investigated. Tests were conducted with downward flow configuration for the mass flux from 70 to 130 kg/$m^2s$, quality from 0.2 to 0.6, non-dimensional protrusion depth (h/D) from 0.0 to 0.5. It is shown that, for almost all the test conditions, normal inlet yielded the best flow distribution, followed by side and parallel inlet. Possible reasoning is provided using flow visualization results.

  • This paper shows that inlet humidity condition at cathode side is one of dominant parameters affecting the performance of PEMFC. To investigate effects of inlet humidity condition, the performance measurements were conducted for a single PEMFC with two operating variables : cathode relative humidity and dry condition in anode dry. The fuel cell employed for the experiments is a unit PEMFC with a 25$Cm^2$, Nafion$^(R)$112 membrane. As a result of this study, the cell performance is getting higher by increasing inlet humidity condition at cathode side. The cell performance is different from each operating temperature an it has maximum30% higher than dry condition at 60$^{\circ}C$ operating temperature with 80% relative humidity.

A Numerical Analysis of Supersonic Intake Buzz in an Axisymmetric Ramjet Engine

  • A numerical analysis was conducted to investigate the inlet buzz and combustion oscillation in an axisymmetric ramjet engine with wedge-type flame holders. The physical model of concern includes the entire engine flow path, extending from the leading edge of the inlet center-body through the exhaust nozzle. The theoretical formulation is based on the Farve-averaged conservation equations of mass, momentum, energy, and species concentration, and accommodates finite-rate chemical kinetics and variable thermo-physical properties. Turbulence closure is achieved using a combined scheme comprising of a low-Reynolds number k-${\varepsilon}$ two-equation model and Sarkar's compressible turbulence model. Detailed flow phenomena such as inlet flow aerodynamics, flame evolution, and acoustic excitation as well as their interactions, are investigated. Mechanisms responsible for driving the inlet buzz are identified and quantified for the engine operating at subcritical conditions.

연소실내의 난류강도에 미치는 각종 인자의 영향 (The Influences of Factors on Turbulence Intensity in Combustion Chamber)

  • Turbulence intensity caused by piston movement was almost as same tendency as the piston speed. The turbulence intensity was increased from 0.39m/s to 0.79m/s when mean piston speed increased from 2.33m/s to 4.67m/s. In this case the maximum turbulence intensity caused by piston speed was decreased about 82 percent near the top dead center at the end of compression stroke. The maximum turbulence intensity was created from 12m/s to 22m/s when inlet flow velocity was increased from 22m/s to 45m/s. Also turbulence intensity caused by inlet flow velocity was linearly increased from 0.97m/s at top dead center at the end of compression stroke. The ratio of turbulence intensity and mean inlet flow velocity was about 3 percent for inlet flow velocity.

  • The purpose of this paper is the study on the characteristics of an inlet system with shock/boundary layer interactions by using various types of bumps which are substituted for the conventional bleeding system in supersonic inlet. in this study a comprehensive numerical analysis has been performed to understand the three-dimensional flow field including shock/boundary layer interaction and growth of turbulent boundary layer that might occur around a three-dimensional bump in a supersonic inlet. The characteristics of boundary layer seen in the current numerical simulations indicate the potential capability of a three-dimensional bump to control shock/boundary layer interaction in supersonic inlets.
