In this paper, a novel MBE (Model Based target size Estimator) is presented for SDIIR (Strap Down Imaging Infrared) seekers. The target tracking requires the target size information for which residual range between target and missile should be provided. Unfortunately, in general, the missile with passive sensor such as IIR (Imaging Infrared), CCD (Coupled Charging Device) cannot obtain range information. To overcome the problem, the proposed method enables the SDIIR seeker to estimates target size by using target size model and track the target. The performance of proposed method is tested at IIR target tracking of target intercept scenario. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm has the relatively good performance.
The intramolecular fundamental vibrations of $CH_3CN$ trapped in solid argon matrix have been reinvestigated by means of FT-IR spectroscopy in the spectral range of 4000-500 $cm^{-1}$. By employing a quantum detector, infrared spectra could be obtained at matrix to solute ratio of 10000, allowing the clarification of the peaks due to monomeric species more clearly. Temperature controlled diffusion was initiated to identify the dimeric and polymeric species in terms of difference spectra. The assignments of monomeric and dimeric species are found, in general, to agree with the earlier work performed at higher concentration (Ar/$CH_3CN$ = 1500) using a dispersive spectrometer. Nonetheless the difficulty of minute differences between the earlier infrared and Raman spectroscopic results could be resolved. Moreover, the previously unnotified peaks due to polymeric species have been identified.

In this paper, we propose soft dead pixels detection method by analysing different response at hot and cold images. Abnormal pixels are able to effect detecting a small target. It also makes confusing real target or not cause of changing target size. Almost exist abnormal pixels after image signal processing even if dead pixels are removed by dead pixel compensation are called soft dead pixels. They are showed defect in final image. So removing or compensating dead pixels are very important for detecting object. The key idea of this proposed method, detecting dead pixels, is that most of soft deads have different response characteristics between hot image and cold image. General infrared cameras do NUC to remove FPN. Working 2-reference NUC must be needed getting data, hot & cold images. The way which is proposed dead pixel detection is that we compare response, NUC gain, at each pixel about two different temperature images and find out dead pixels if the pixels exceed threshold about average gain of around pixels.

Beverages based on fruit juices are among the most popular commercially available drinks. There is an ever-increasing demand for these juices in the market. Orange juice is one of the most common as well as most favorite flavor. The fruit processing industries have a tremendous responsibility of quality control. For quality evaluation estimation of various components of the juice is necessary. Sucrose, glucose, fructose, citric acid and malic acid are the prime components of orange juice. Little information is available on analysis of orange juice. However, conventional and general wet chemistry procedures are currently being used which are no longer desired by the industry owing to the time involved, labor input and harmful chemicals required for each analysis. Need to replace these techniques with new, highly specific and automated sophisticated techniques viz. HPLC and spectroscopy has been realized since long time. Potential of Near Infrared Spectroscopy in quantitative analysis of different components of food samples has also been well established. A rapid, non-destructive and accurate technique based on Near Infrared Spectroscopy for determination of sugars and organic acids in orange juice will be highly useful. The current study is an investigation into the potential of Near Infrared Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy for rapid quantitative analysis of sucrose, glucose, fructose citric acid and malic acid in orange juice. All the Near Infrared measurements were peformed on a dispersive NIR spectrophotometer (ELICO 153) in diffuse reflectance mode. The spectral region from 1100 to 2500nm has been explored. The calibration has been performed on synthetic samples that are mixtures of sucrose, glucose, fructose, citric acid and malic acid in different concentration ranges typically encountered real orange juice. These synthetic samples are therefore considered to be representatives of natural juices. All the Near Infrared spectra of synthetic samples were subjected to mathematical analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS) algorithm. After the validation, calibration was applied to commercially available real samples and freshly squeezed natural juice samples. The actual concentrations were compared with those predicted from calibration curve. A good correlation is obtained between actual and predicted values as indicated by correlation coefficient ($R^2$) value, which is close to unity, showing the feasibility of the technique.

In Infrared rays, which are 50% of sunlight, act as heat rays to heat buildings. Solar heat paint is widely used to protect buildings from sunlight. Solar heat coatings are used to block buildings form sunlight. Solar heat paints are classified as heat-reflective paints and heat-insulating paints according to the differential thermal mechanism. In this study, we study the thermal differential mechanism by analyzing the temperature change of the coated steel plate and the solar reflection spectrum on the surface. In this experiment, exposed steel plate, heat-reflective coated steel plate, heat-insulating coated steel plate, and general paint coated steel plate were used. As a result, when the infrared rays of 780nm ~ 1400nm were irradiated, the heat reflective paint had a temperature lower by 10 degrees than other paints. Analysis of the reflection spectrum of the paint shows that the heat paint is lower in heat than other paints because it has higher reflectance of light and absorbs much of the infrared rays.
Desirable substrates for $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta}$ coated conductor are highly cube textured Ni or Ni-alloy tapes, which can be produced by cold rolling and recrystallization annealing. We have fabricated hi-axially textured pure Ni tapes for the application of coated conductors. The sintered Ni rod was cold-rolled into the thin tapes of $50{\mu}m$ thickness and the tapes were heat-treated for texture development with line-focused infrared heater. The temperature was maintained at $800\sim1050^{\circ}C$, using 1kW double ended linear halogen lamp in $96%Ar-4%H_2$ atmosphere The biaxially tortured Ni tapes were successfully formed by line-focused infrared heat treatment The texture of the annealed Ni tapes was analysed using the GADDS (general area detector diffraction system). The full width at half maximum values of phi and omega scan for the Ni tapes were less than $10^{\circ}$ and the grain size was $20-50{\mu}m$.

Infrared heating has been traditionally used in industrial applications for processes such as dehydration of food industrial. This heating method involves the application of radiation in the wavelength range of 2 to 50 micrometers. In this work, simultaneous heat balance equations were developed to simulate the infrared radiation heating of agricultural products. The equations assume that moisture diffuses to the outer boundaries of the material in liquid form and evaporation occurs at the surface of the agricultural products. Energy for moisture evaporation is supplied by the infrared radiant energy. The optimum temperature and drying time for the best drying conditions of changing the red peppers with the moisture content of 18% and the restore rate of 80~85% are $80^{\circ}C$ and 44 hours. The performance of radiation tubes coating with the radiation paint developed in this research has the energy of $2.27{\times}103W/m^2{\mu}m$, $150^{\circ}C$ within the scope of radiation wave length of $2{\sim}30{\mu}m$ and has the radiation 0.92~0.93, which is superior to the general radiation tubes. The extinction coefficient according to the band pass filter using the 4 flux theory ha higher dependability on wave length, accounting for $2{\sim}17{\mu}m$ and $5{\times}105{\sim}106m-1$. A comparison between the theoretical energy transfer whose figures are interpreted according to 4 flux theory and the experimental energy transfer of far infrared dryer leads to the findings of the agreement less than 5%.
In this study, the applicability of the surface image velocimeter using the far-infrared camera was examined in order to solve the application problem of the measurement in night time, which has been pointed out in previous studies as the limit of the surface image velocimeter. For this purpose, the accuracy evaluation of measurement of the far-infrared camera was conducted for two conditions. Accuracy was evaluated by calculating the relative error of the results of the measurements of surface image velocimeter using the normal video camera during the daytime that was already verified. As a result, the relative error of the surface velocimeter using the far infrared camera was 4.3% at maximum, the average error was about 1%, and the error of the fog condition was maximum 5.2% with an average of 2%. In conclusion, it is possible to measure with high accuracy when using far-infrared camera in a invisible environments where the water flow can not be visualized with a general camera.
Far-infrared observations provide crucial data for the investigation and characterisation of the properties of dusty material in the Interstellar Medium (ISM), since most of its energy is emitted between ~ 100 and $200{\mu}m$. We present the first all-sky image from a sensitive all-sky survey using the Japanese AKARI satellite, in the wavelength range $50-180{\mu}m$. Covering > 99% of the sky in four photometric bands with four filters centred at $65{\mu}m$, $90{\mu}m$, $140{\mu}m$, and $160{\mu}m$ wavelengths, this achieved spatial resolutions from 1 to 2 arcmin and a detection limit of < 10 MJy $sr^{-1}$, with absolute and relative photometric accuracies of < 20%. All-sky images of the Galactic dust continuum emission enable astronomers to map the large-scale distribution of the diffuse ISM cirrus, to study its thermal dust temperature, emissivity and column density, and to measure the interaction of the Galactic radiation field and embedded objects with the surrounding ISM. In addition to the point source population of stars, protostars, star-forming regions, and galaxies, the high Galactic latitude sky is shown to be covered with a diffuse filamentary-web of dusty emission that traces the potential sites of high latitude star formation. We show that the temperature of dust particles in thermal equilibrium with the ambient interstellar radiation field can be estimated by using $90{\mu}m$, $140{\mu}m$, and $160{\mu}m$ data. The FIR AKARI full-sky maps provide a rich new data set within which astronomers can investigate the distribution of interstellar matter throughout our Galaxy, and beyond.
