  • This paper presents the information transmission between on-board and ground-site in MAGLEV. considering safety and high speed operation and density operation, information transmission between them is necessary. Therefore it is necessary for transmission system to ensure high speed transmission, low error rate, massive information, and reliability of information. To provide above conditions, 1.1km signal line assembly was constructed and Frequency Shift Keying(FSK) modulation and Open System Interconnection(OSI) based high-level data link control(HDLC) protocol are applied. To modulate digital signal for transmission from ground-site to on-board, carrier frequency of 70kHz is used and 90khz is used for transmission from on-board to ground-site. Transmission speed is 2400bps for consideration of train speed, quantity of information, and data error rate. And this paper introduces information monitoring considering user interface and presents the method for an effective data transmission in MAGLEV which is now being tested and intends to provide for an intelligent train operation system in future.

565 Mb/s 광전송용 단국중계장치 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of the Terminal Repeater System for 565 Mb/s Optical Fiber Transmission)

  • 본 논문에서는 우리 나라 디지털 다중화 계위 5차군 전송속도 564.993Mb/s를 실제의 광전송 데이터 속도라 가정하고, 국내 565Mb/s 광전송시스템을 유지 보수할 뿐만 아니라 디지털 광전송용 통신망을 B.S.I.화하기 위하여, 단국중계장치에서 기존의 전송로부호들 중 최적의 전송로부호라 사료되는 mBIZ 전송로부호를 이용한 새로운 전송로 프레임 구조를 제안한다. 제안한 프레임 구조대로 565Mb/s 광전송용 단국중계장치에서 순수정보신호계열의 속도를 변환한 후 pulse stuffing 하는 방식으로 시스템 하드웨어를 실현시킨 결과, 전송 에러에 의한 연속적인 시스템 에러 파급 현상 즉, 도미노 현상을 방지할 수 있었으며, timing jitter와 동부호연속수도 억압할 수 있었다. 또한 광단국장치에서의 total BER을 10정도까지 향상시킬 수 있기 때문에 시스템 SNR을 2dB 정도 개선할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문은 무선 ATM 서비스를 위한 CDMA WATM 시스템을 제시하며, 매체 접속 방식으로 전송 스케줄링과 슬롯 및 무선 링크 할당 알고리즘을 가진 중앙 제어 예약 접속 방식 (CRMA/TSDA)을 제안한다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 CDMA WATM 시스템을 위한 무선 접속 및 링크 제어 방식으로 지역정보 슬롯 및 링크 할당 알고리즘과 광역정보 슬롯 및 링크 할당 알고리즘을 제안하고, 모의 실험을 통하여 양방향 링크에서의 시스템 용량과 성능을 분석하였다. 제시된 접속 방식 및 제어 방식은 기존의 CDMA 랜덤 접속 방식에 비해 만족할 만한 성능을 보이며, ATM 서비스의 요구 품질을 만족시키며 수용할 수 있다. 특히, 지역 정보 제어 방식은 준최적의 광역 정보 방식에 견줄만한 성능을 갖는다.

Improved Coded Mark Inversion for the Passive Radio Frequency Transmission System of the Electronic Time Fuze

  • To fit the limited volume and power consumption of the passive radio frequency transmission system of the electronic time fuze, an improved coded mark inversion (CMI) is proposed in this letter. From the performance analysis, the energy transmission efficiency of this encoding method is at least 50% higher than that of CMI and NRZ. Finally, the experiment results show that by adopting this improved CMI, the change of DC voltage through magnetic coupling is lower than 0.2 V when the accuracy of data transmission is above 99.5%.

  • Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is usually regarded as a spectral efficient multicarrier modulation technique, yet it suffers from a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) problem. Among all the existing PAPR reduction techniques in OFDM systems, side information based PAPR reduction techniques such as partial transmit sequence (PTS) and selective mapping (SLM) schemes, have attracted the most attention. However, the transmission of side information results in somewhat spectral loss and this does not significantly improve the bit error rate (BER) performance. Parallel combinatory (PC) OFDM yields higher spectral efficiency (SE) and better BER performance on Gaussian channels,while is a little but not obvious PAPR improvement over the ordinary OFDM system. This investigation aimed to design a 'perfect' OFDM system. We introduce the side information to rotate the subcarrier phases of our novel PC-OFDM system structure, and call this new system the SIPC(Side information based Parallel Combinatory)-OFDM system. The proposed system achieves better PAPR and SE performance. In addition, considering the tradeoff of system parameters, the proposed system also has the properties of a higher BER.

  • An operating information and fault recode of train is very important information for safety driving and maintenance. And these information is increased and need high speed as the number of trains is increased. Wireless LAN or CDMA network is efficient to report more complicated and various information from vehicle to server in control center. Existing wireless transmission system has weakness due to transmission system is separated with TDCS and standalone. At first, standalone system needs space to be installed and cost is increased. And data transmission capacity and speed is limited by complicated structure that transmission system receive data thru serial communication like RS232 and then data transmission system send data to server in control center. This article is study to develop embedded & wireless fault code transmission device to be installed in TDCS to overcome weakness of space and to have more cost effective and simple structure. It is adapted 802.11b/g WiFi for wireless communication and OS is used embedded Linux that can easily implement wireless communication environment and ensure TCP/IP communication’s security. We also implement simple server to test wireless communication between embedded & wireless fault code transmission device and server in control center.

  • JP Nagoya. Inc started special work(passenger order} to transmit information to the passenger from 2001 following the eastern area' heavy rain in 2000. They introduced 'Passenger Information System' which uses self communication network(LAN, PHS) mainly and wire/wireless and internet jointly. As an information transmission method of this system, there is "train information transmission using PHS" which transmits info to LED display in special train. This system configured by adding new equipments and using existing equipments, network in maximum, this study reviewed the system, which transmits real time operation condition unified by these passenger order to passenger in high quality, more promptly.

Transmission Power Minimization with Network Coding for Mobile Terminals in Cellular Relay Networks

  • This paper jointly investigates the bandwidth allocation, transmission strategy and relay positions for two-way transmission aware cellular networks with network coding (NC). Our goal is to minimize the transmission power of mobile terminals (MTs). Consider a cellular system, where multiple MTs exchange information with their common base station, firstly, we propose an efficient bandwidth allocation method and then give a transmission strategy for each MT to determine whether to use relay stations (RSs) for its two-way transmission with the BS or not. To further improve the system performance, the optimal positions of RSs are also jointly discussed. A GA-based algorithm is presented to obtain the optimum positions for RSs. Besides, the impacts of frequency reuse on MT's transmission power and system spectral efficiency (SE) under different number of relays are also discussed in our work. Numerical results show that the proposed NC aware scheme can extend MTs' battery life at least 6% more than traditional method.

초고속 광전송 시스템용 전송로 부호의 성능 분석 (The Performance Analysis of Transmission Line Codes for the Very-High Speed Optical Transmission System.)

  • 정보신호계열을 초고속으로 전송하기 위한 디지틀 광전송 시스템이 대용량화, 경 제화됨에 따라, 효율적으로 순수 정보신호계열을 신뢰성있게 전송할 수 있는 초고속 광전송 시스템용 전송로 부호의 선택이 현시점에서 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 지금 까지 제안된 2치 unipolar 전송로 부호들 중 고속(100Mb/s 이상의 전송속도) 광전송 시스템으로 적합한 전송로 부호들을 우선 선택하여, 선택한 전송로 부호들 간의 성능 평가를 전송로 부호의 요구조건들, 즉 최대 동부호 연속수, 전송지연시간, 클럭 상승률, 마크율, 회로규모, 전송로 에러 감시 및 전력 스펙트럼에 따라 상호 비교 분석 한 결과, mBIZ부호가 최적의 초고속 광전송 시스템용 전송로 부 호임을 밝혔다.

  • Electric railway system consist of rolling stock, track, signal and streetcar line system. ATP(Automatic Train Protection) system in railway signaling system is the important one grasping the position and velocity of a train. The wayside transmitter of ATP system is installed between rails. Recently, the research about increasing train speed has been developed in total departments of the railroad systems. The study on the information transmission between on-board transmitter and wayside transmitter is required for increasing the train speed in the ATP system. When the train speed is increased as to same transmissi on distance, the problem on information transmission occurs because the transmission time is decreased. In case that the transmission distance is extended, the transmission time is decreased with respect to the train speed. Therefore, we have to define the standard magnetic intensity as to the train speed in order to transmit correctly telegram. In this paper, the transmission distance for the telegram is suggested on the basis of the train speed. Also, the standard magnetic intensity from the wayside transmitter to on-board transmitter is proposed by using transmission distance regarding the train speed in the ERTMS/ETCS system by using Matlab program.
