  • A conceptual design of marine environmental information system(MEIS) for vessels running in the ocean was carried out. MEIS consists of a remote acquisition system of raw environmental data, a physical and numerical processing system of acquired raw data, and a supporting satellite communication system for data transfer. The efficiency of a remote acquisition system depends on the amount of acquired data and its real-time accessibility, while the efficiency of a data processing system is governed by the flexibility and accuracy of data analysis tools.

  • Web-based health information provides a lot of conveniences, however the security vulnerabilities that appear in the network environment without the risk of exposure in the use of information are growing. Web-based medical information security issues when accessing only the technology advances, without attempting to seek a safe methodology are to increase the threat element. So it is required. to take advantage of web-based information security measures as a web-based access control security mechanism-based design. This paper is based on software architecture, design, ideas and health information systems were designed based on access control security mechanism. The methodologies are to derive a new design procedure, to design architecture and algorithms that make the mechanism functio n. To accomplish this goal, web-based access control for multiple patient information architecture infrastructures is needed. For this software framework to derive features that make the mechanism was derived based on the structure. The proposed system utilizes medical information, medical information when designing an application user retrieves data in real time, while ensuring integration of encrypted information under the access control algorithms, ensuring the safety management system design.

  • In this paper, we propose a new servo system design strategy to reduce the position error signal(PES) and track mis-registration(TMR) in magnetic disk drive systems. The proposed method provides a systematic design procedure based on the plant model and an optimal solution via an optimization with a 'Robust Random Neighborhood Search(RRNS)' algorithm. In addition, it guarantees the minimum PES level as well as stability to parametric uncertainties. Furthermore, the proposed method can be used to estimate the performance at the design stage and thus can reduce the cost and time for the design of the next generation product. The reduction of PES as well as robust stability is demonstrated by simulation and experiments.

  • In this paper design of speed observer and controller for AC servo system by rapid design system(RG-01D) using DSP of Realgain company is introduced. 'AC Servo-Designer' system, including CEMTool /SIMTool S/W, RG-DSPIO board, AC servo driver and AVTOTool program, is used in this research. Because 'AC Servo-Designer' system can use SIMTool blocks to design and implement various controller in short time, speed observer and controller for AC servo system is easily designed and implemented according to control objectives.

  • This study mainly concentrates on the development of a land information management system to manage the land related information in an effective way for the water-pollutant buffering zone, which was established to sustain better quality of the drinking water over the upper part of the Han river. For developing such system, a procedure was implemented covering user requirement analysis, system design, spatial DB design, and coding. DB linkage with affiliated institutes and cadastral DB updating were proposed as the part of the efforts to enhance the applicability of the system. In addition to that, modularization was adopted for more efficient and cost-effective system development.

  • Many studies have indicated that most of a product's cost is fixed early in its lift cycle, before the original design cycle is complete. This implies that we should consider various aspects of product lift cycle at the design stage. This means the need of collaboration in design stage. Because the Internet provides instant access to a wealth of design information, the Internet is used by the collaborative design team members as a medium to share data, information and knowledge, and in some cases for product data management and project management by integrating the Web with appropriate technologies. This paper presents a real-time collaborative design system for powerful interaction performance, based on the Internet and Web technologies. Using The system use the client/server architecture and the purpose of the system is to provide a method that enables real-time view, review and modification of the 3D model through the Internet.

  • In this paper, we will introduce how we utilize 3D design model information at factory automation field with welding robot OLP system which is in using at out shipyard. At this area, so far, most of design information is used in NC data generation for steel cutting, but we can utilize 3D model information at more wide and complex area likes robot welding. Moreover, OpenGL which is a graphic library can be possible to verify robot NC data is correct or not through 3D simulation even if some one is not a expert at robot handling.

  • Various design schemes for network using wireless sensor nodes have been widely studied on the several application areas ranging from the real world information collection to environmental monitor. Currently, the schemes are focused on the design of sensor network for low power consumption, power-aware routing protocol, micro miniature operating system and sensor network middleware. The indoor localization system that identifies the location of the distributed nodes in a wireless sensor network requires features dealing with mobility, plurality and other environmental constraints of a sensor node. In this paper, we present an efficient location system to cope with mobility of multiple mobile nodes by designing a location handler that processes location information selectively depending on the nodes' density in a specific region. In order to resolve plurality of multiple mobile nodes, a routing method for the location system is also proposed to avoid the occurrence of overlapped location data.

  • This paper introduces the use of network theory to model and analyze disparate ship design information. This work will focus on a ship's distributed systems and their intra- and intersystem structures and interactions. The three system to be analyzed are: a passageway system, an electrical system, and a fire fighting system. These systems will be analyzed individually using common network metrics to glean information regarding their structures and attributes. The systems will also be subjected to community detection algorithms both separately and as a multiplex network to compare their similarities, differences, and interactions. Network theory will be shown to be useful in the early design stage due to its simplicity and ability to model any shipboard system.

  • Concurrent Engineering(CE) can provide a competitive edge for companies that have confronted with rapidly changing market requirements, such as shortening of product life cycles, high quality, low cost, diversity of customer demand, and so on. We construct a prototype of integrated information system to support a new product development process by CE concept. This integrated information system can be useful for considering concurrently all of the aspect in the product design process. In this system, an Engineering Database is constructed for gathering data of four departments; i.e. marketing, production, quality control and design department. Also DFM(Design For Manufacturability) is applied for analysis of product design.
