  • Customers are increasingly attracted towards different e-commerce websites and applications for the purchase of products significantly. This is the reason the sellers are moving to different internet based services to sell their products online. The growth of customers in this sector has resulted in the use of big data analytics to understand customers' behavior in predicting the demand of items. It uses a complex process of examining large amount of data to uncover hidden patterns in the information. It is established on the basis of finding correlation between various parameters that are recorded, understanding purchase patterns and applying statistical measures on collected data. This paper is a document of the bottom-up strategy used to manage the selling price of a first-time product for maximizing profit while selling it online. It summarizes how existing customers' expectations can be used to increase the sale of product and attract the attention of the new customer for buying the new product.

  • With development of Information Security industry and recognizing value of information as an asset, demand for information protection is foreseen to be expanding gradually. The Information Security industry in this paper defines as an industry where relative products as well as consulting services are developed, produced, and distributed. This study reclassifies sub-sectors of the Information Security industry based on the definition of product and services defined above, and it uses the RAS technique to broaden a scope of an input-output table to include the Information Security industry with purpose of analyzing economic spill-over effects industry will encounter during 2013~2017. Results show that investment in the Information Security industry during 2013-2017 induces total economic outputs to KRW 3,206.9 billion and is expected to employ additional 27,406 workforce.

  • From the early 1970s, the US government began to recognize that penetration testing could not assure the security quality of products. Results of penetration testing such as identified vulnerabilities and faults can be varied depending on the capabilities of the team. In other words none of penetration team can assure that "vulnerabilities are not found" is not equal to "product does not have any vulnerabilities". So the U.S. government realized that in order to improve the security quality of products, the development process itself should be managed systematically and strictly. Therefore, the US government began to publish various standards related to the development methodology and evaluation procurement system embedding "security-by-design" concept from the 1980s. Security-by-design means reducing product's complexity by considering security from the initial phase of development lifecycle such as the product requirements analysis and design phase to achieve trustworthiness of product ultimately. Since then, the security-by-design concept has been spread to the private sector since 2002 in the name of Secure SDLC by Microsoft and IBM, and is currently being used in various fields such as automotive and advanced weapon systems. However, the problem is that it is not easy to implement in the actual field because the standard or guidelines related to Secure SDLC contain only abstract and declarative contents. Therefore, in this paper, we present the new framework in order to specify the level of Secure SDLC desired by enterprises. Our proposed CIA (functional Correctness, safety Integrity, security Assurance)-level-based security-by-design framework combines the evidence-based security approach with the existing Secure SDLC. Using our methodology, first we can quantitatively show gap of Secure SDLC process level between competitor and the company. Second, it is very useful when you want to build Secure SDLC in the actual field because you can easily derive detailed activities and documents to build the desired level of Secure SDLC.

  • Beginning flag security it was limited in Firewall but currently many information security solutions like Anti-virus, IDS, Firewall are come to be many. For efficiently managing different kinds of information security products ESM (Enterprise Security management) are developed and operated. Recently over the integrated security management system, TMS (Threat Management System) is rising in new area of interest. It follows in change of like this information security product and also collection information is being turning out diversification. For managing cyber threats, we have to analysis qualitative information (like vulnerabilities and malware codes, security news) as well as the quantity event logs which are from information security products of past. Information Threats and Vulnerability Auto Collector raises the accuracy of cyber threat judgement and can be utilized to respond the cyber threat which does not occur still by gathering qualitative information as well as quantity information.

  • To acquire certificate of security evaluation for information protection Products, it is necessary for a designer to grasp the threats listed in a protection profile and to reflect them in the product design. BDPP is a protection profile for the biometric devices. In this paper, we applied BDPP to a Match-on-Card, and ertracted some security requirements to protect biometric data against threats. We also studied some countermeasures satisfying the security requirements.

  • The research on data mining that can manage a large amount of information efficiently has grown with the drastic increment of information. Privacy-preserving data mining can protect the privacy of data owners. There are several privacy-preserving association rule, clustering and classification protocols. A privacy-preserving association rule protocol is used to find association rules among data, which is often used for marketing. In this paper, we propose a privacy-preserving k-bits inner product protocol based on Shamir's secret sharing.

  • For the past few years, personal information breach incidents, great and small, occurred constantly. Accordingly, the Personal Information Protection related Ordinances are enacted and amended persistently, and the information security products also keep advancing and developing in the same way. There are the certification systems such as Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation(CC) and Korea Cryptographic Module Validation Program(KCMVP) for the information security products. These are also strictly carried out. This paper analyzes and categorizes the 5 Personal Information Protection related Ordinances in the aspects of technical protection measures by using key words. Here are the 5 related ordinances; 'the Personal Information Protection Act', 'the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc', 'the Act on the Protection, Use, Etc, of Location Information', 'the Use and Protection of Credit Information Act', and 'the Electronic Financial Transactions Act.' Moreover, this study analyzes the association between the technical protection measures in the 5 relevant laws and the information security products that are obtaining the CC Evaluation & Validation(CC) and the products that are now produced at KISIA's member companies.

  • This paper discusses an issue of serious security risks at web log which contains private information, and suggests solutions to protect them. These days privacy is core information to produce value-added in information society. Its scope and type is expanded and is more important along with the growth of information society. Web log is a privacy information file enacted as law in South Korea. Web log is not protected properly in spite of that has private information It just is treated as residual product of web services. Many malicious people could gain private information in web log. This problem is occurred by no classified data and improper development of web application. This paper suggests the technical solutions which control data in development phase and minimizes that the private information stored in web log, and applies in operation environment. It is very efficient method to protect private information and to observe the law.

  • Recently, IoT products with various functions are being developed. Through the combination of objects and information technology, convenient services that have not been imagined before are emerging. For a secure IoT environment, product security must be considered. However, the existing IoT products have various problems such as security vulnerability. In order to secure the security of IoT products, technical countermeasures as well as policy responses are needed. However, the legislation related to current IoT products has a limit to guarantee safety in IoT environment. In this paper, we analyze the limitations of the current legal system of IoT, and suggests ways to improve it.
