In a centralized database system, all system components reside at a single platform. In recent years there has been a rapid trend toward the integration of information systems over multiple sites that are interconnected via a communication network, and users' needs are changed to integration of multiple information sites. Multi database System is one of solutions for integrating distributed heterogeneous databases. However the problems in multi database system are restriction in distributed environment support, limitation in integrating heterogeneous media type data, static integration, and data-only of integration. In order to solve these problems, we propose a hybrid database integration model, HyDIM. HyDIM is used for the integrating legacy multimedia data, adopting CORBA, MDS, and mediator. We demonstrate a prototype system far PDM application domain.

인터넷과 통신기술의 발전으로 온라인 정보소스와 정보사용자의 수가 증가되었다. 이것은 정보시스템간 특히 데이터베이스간의 통합을 요구한다. 데이터베이스간 통합에 대한 연구는 오래 전부터 시작되었고, 많은 결과들이 발표되고 있다. 기존의 데이터베이스간 통합 방법은 일반적으로 전역데이터모델(Global Data Model)을 제공해야하며, 전역스키마(Global Schema) 작성, 전역스키마와 지역스키마간 번역과 같은 복잡한 작업들을 필요로 한다. 이는 최종 사용자에게 다양한 질의(정보)와 이질적인 지역 데이터베이스들에 대한 단일접근방법을 제공하기 위함이다. 하지만 데이터베이스간 통합이 요구되는 영역에서 필요한 정보만 제공해 준다면 다양한 질의를 제공하기 위한 기존 정보통합시스템들의 요구사항은 오버헤드로 작용한다. 본 논문은 데이터베이스간 통합 시 필요한 정보를 기반으로 데이터베이스간 통합을 하는 I2system(Information Integration System)을 제안한다. 이는 기존의 정보통합방법의 오버헤드를 줄이며, 단순하고 확장성 있는 데이터베이스간 통합을 제공한다.

Several performance measurement systems have been proposed and are currently being used in many organizations. However, no performance measurement system has presented a mechanism for integrating all of the information of performance measures in a way that considers the relationships between them. This paper proposes the performance information integration method (PIIM) which synthesizes all useful information of performance measures with consideration of the relationships and generates a single, global, organizational performance score. The PIIM showed good performance in the implementation in one long-term care facility. This paper provides performance measurement systems with an integration mechanism for multiple performance measures.

WWW images locate in structural, networking documents, so the importance of a word can be indicated by its location, frequency. There are two patterns for multi-cues ingegration annotation. The multi-cues integration algorithm shows initial promise as an indicator of semantic keyphrases of the web images. The latent semantic automatic keyphrase extraction that causes the improvement with the usage of multi-cues is expected to be preferable.

지식관리 인프라의 구축에는 다양한 정보시스템간의 인터페이스와 통합이 필요하다. 특히 디지털도서관과 지식관리시스템은 조직 내·외부 지식의 유기적인 상호작용을 위해 통합적인 시각에서 구현되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 지식관리의 주요 요소별로 두 시스템을 비교·분석하여 공통기반과 차이점을 도출하고 각각의 제한요소를 상호 보완할 수 있는 지식관리 통합모형을 제시하고자하였다. 정제된 외부지식을 적시적소에 공급하는 디지털도서관과 이를 기반으로 새로운 지식의 창출을 지원하는 지식관리시스템의 유기적인 연계와 통합은 지식관리의 성과제고에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Various bioinformatics tools for biological data processing have been developed and most of them are available in public. Most bioinformatics works are carried out by a composite application of those tools. Several integration approaches have been proposed for easy use of the tools. This paper proposes a new multi agent system to integrate bioinformatics tools in the perspective of workflow since the composite applications of tools can be regarded as workflows. For the easy integration, the proposed system employs wrapper agents for existing tools, uses XML-based messages in the inter-agent communication, and agents are supposed to extract necessary information from the received messages. This allows new tools to be easily added on the integration framework. The proposed method allows various control structures in workflow definition and provides the progress monitoring capability of the on-going workflows. In particular, agents in this system have the rule-based architecture which allows the defined rule set to be a special role agent. This feature provides fast and flexible agent development to aid in managing the complexity of bioinformatics application. This system has been partially implemented and has been proven to be a viable implementation for workflow-based bioinformatics tool integration.

Contrary to the traditional text-based information, 4S(GIS,GNSS,SIIS,ITS) information can contribute to the citizen's welfare in upcoming era. Recently, GSIS(Geo-Spatial Information System) has been applied and stressed out in various fields. As analyzed the data from GSIS arena, the position information of objects and targets is crucial and critical. Therefore, several methods of getting and knowing position are proposed and developed. From this perspective, Position collection and processing are the heart of 4S technology. We develop 4S-Van that enables real-time acquisition of position and attribute information and accurate image data in remote site. In this study, the configuration of 4S-Van equipped with GPS, INS, CCD and eye-safe laser scanner is shown and the merits of DGPS/INS integration approach for geo-referencing is briefly discussed. The algorithm of DGPS/INS integration fur determination of six parameters of motion is eccential in the 4S-Van to avoid or simplify the complicated computation such as photogrammetric triangulation. 4S-Van has the application of Laser-Mobile Mapping System for three-dimensional data acquisition that merges the texture information from CCD camera. The technique is also applied in the fields of virtual reality, car navigation, computer games, planning and management, city transportation, mobile communication, etc.

Purpose - Conventional supply chains (SCs) must identify facilitating roles, such as port or terminal operators, shipping companies, and freight forwarders in executing the various logistical activities that support the organizational strategies of shippers. Meanwhile, supply chain collaborative practices can engender a willingness to share relevant and mutually helpful information. To this end, this study seeks to identify the impact of supply chain integration (SCI) on information sharing (IS) and the operational performance (OP) of Korea's container-shipping industry from the perspective of social capital. Design/methodology - We established the research model for this study based on previous studies. In administering the survey, we obtained 149 valid responses from employees working in liner-shipping companies and freight forwarders in Korea. With the collected questionnaires, the study's hypotheses were tested using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 Findings - The results indicate the existence of a mediated relationship where the impact of SCI on OP is mediated by IS. The effect of external integration (EI) on OP is fully mediated by information quality (IQ) and information-sharing content (ISC). Furthermore, EI, IQ and ISC partially mediate the relationship between internal integration (II) and OP. Originality/value - This study expands SCI contexts, where ISC and IQ respectively serve as bridges between EI and OP which has crucial implications for container-shipping companies in terms of improving their performance.

분산된 지역 데이타베이스의 스키마 통합시 중심 개념은 엔티티 통합을 의미하며 이때 엔티티의 시멘틱은 여러 요소에 영향을 받는다. 따라서 분산된 데이타베이스 환경에서의 스키마 통합은 통합되어야 하는 각 지역의 스키마의 엔티티 타입간의 도메 인 관계의 정의로부터 시작된다할 수 있다. 이렇게 설계자에 의해 정의되는 각 엔티티 간의 도메인 관계는 스키마 통합 시스템의 신뢰도의 확보와 검증을 위한 작업이 반드 시 수행되어야 한다. 그러나 이러한 작업이 기존의 통합 시스템에서는 제시되지 못하였다. 본 논문은 분산 시스템 환경에서 지역 데이타베이스의 스키마 통합을 위한 객체 중심의 통합을 정의하고, 통합의 타당성 검증을 위한 모델을 제안하고 검증 시 스템을 구현한다.
