박막에서 쌍곡선형 열전도 방정식에 의한 열전도 해석 (Analysis of Hyperbolic Heat Conduction in a Thin Film)

  • 고전적인 Fourier 열전도 방정식은 극저온하에서 또는 아주 짧은 시간동안의 가열시 타당성이 없는 것으로 고려되었다. 이러한 조건하에서는 열전도파의 성질이 지배적이기 때문에 , 수정된 Fourier 법칙에 근거한 쌍곡선형 열전도 방정식이 도입되었다. 열전도에 대한 Fourier 모델과 쌍곡선형 열전도모델이 적분변환법과 함께 Green 함수방법을 이용하여 분되었다. 한쪽 표면에서 주기적인 표면가열을 하는 유한한 평판의 열유속 분포 및 온도분포의 해를 제시하였고 각가의 모델로부터 얻어진 결과를 서로 비교검토하였다. 쌍곡선형 열전도 방정식에서 유도된 열전도파는 매개물을 통해 전파되어 맞은편쪽의 단열표면에서 가열 표면쪽으로 반사하였으나 , 고전적인 Fourier 모델에 의한 열은 열적교란이 매개물의 전체에 걸쳐서 전달된 후 즉각적으로 무한한 속도로 열전파가 발생함을 보여주었다.

호접란 줄기기저부 절편배양을 통한 조직배양묘의 연속생산 (Continuous Production of Phalaenopsis Clones by Basal Shoot Culture)

  • 줄기기저부절편조직을 이용한 호접란 조직배양묘 생산 체계를 확립하기 위하여 원괴체 유도와 원괴체 증식의 조건을 구명하고자 하였다. 치상조직별 원괴체 유도 성공률을 비교한 결과 줄기기저부절편조직에서 약 45%의 높은 성공률을 나타내었고 다음은 화경액아 배양으로 약 30% 정도의 성공률을 나타낸 반면 근단, 화경절간절편, 화경엽, 성숙엽의 경우에는 성공률이 1% 미만으로 매우 낮았다. 품종별 원괴체의 유도능력에서의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 11개 품종에서 줄기기저부 절편배양을 한 결과 백색계 와 핑크계품종 모두에서 30%이상의 높은 원괴체 성공률을 나타내었다. 줄기기저부배양에서 줄기기저부를 절단하지 않고 천체조직을 치상하였을 경우 거대 원괴체가 유도되었는데 이 거대 원괴체는 진한 녹색으로 보통 원괴체의 3∼5배 정도 이상 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이 거대 원괴체를 증식하기 위해 절단하여 증식배지에 치상하였으나 새로 나온 원괴체는 정상적인 크기의 PLB로 유도되었다. 줄기저부배양에서 얻어낸 원괴체들은 증식과정을 거쳐 정상적인 조직배양묘를 형성하였다 그러므로 이 방법은 호접란 클론묘생산에 쓰일 수 있는 효율적이고 실용적인 방법의 하나라고 판단되었다. 그리고 줄기기저부 절편배양을 이용하여 원괴체를 유도 증식하고 플라스크묘를 만든 뒤 다시 그 묘의 줄기기저부절편을 이용하여 원괴체를 유도 증식하고 플라스크묘를 만들어내는 시스템에 응용함으로써 무한수의 조직배양묘를 연속적으로 생산할 수 있다는 체계가 제시되었다.

  • The heat and mass transfer characteristics of the unsteady hydromagnetic natural convection flow with Hall current and Soret effect of an incompressible, viscous, electrically conducting, heat absorbing and optically thin radiating fluid flow past a suddenly started vertical infinite plate through fluid saturated porous medium in a rotating environment are taken into account in this paper. Derivations of exact analytical solutions are aimed under different physical properties. The velocity, concentration and temperature profiles, Sherwood number and Nusselt number are easily examined and discussed via the closed forms obtained. Soret effect and permeability parameter tends to accelerate primary and secondary fluid velocities whereas hall current, radiation and heat absorption have reverse effect on it. Radiation and heat absorption have tendency to enhance rate of heat transfer at the plate. The results obtained here may be further used to verify the validity of obtained numerical solutions for more complicated transient free convection fluid flow problems.

  • 우리 나라가 치열한 세계 경쟁환경에서 살아남기 위해서는 연구개발분야에서도 자원의 선택과 집중을 통한 투자효율의 극대화가 필요하다. 정보통신연구기반조성사업은 정보통신산업의 연구개발 및 기술능력 저변확대를 통한 혁신적 성장환경 조성(Infrastructure) 사업으로 인프라구축 사업의 특성상, 직접적인 기술개발투자와는 달리 사업효과가 장기간에 걸쳐 정보통신산업 전체에 영향을 미친다. 단기간 내의 성과보다는 체계적인 중·장기 계획에 기초한 장기적인 투자 및 관리가 요구되는 사업으로 연구 환경구축, 연구성과 확산, 정보기반 구축 및 정책 연구 등 검토를 통해 새롭게 전개되고 있는 지식기반 사회의 연구기반구축이 사회에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 중소벤처기업 지원 등에 필수적인 사업임을 확인하였다.

Quantifying the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership

  • We assess the outcomes for the negotiating parties in the Trans-Pacific Partnership if the remaining eleven parties go ahead with the agreement as negotiated without the United States, as compared to the outcomes under the original twelve-member agreement signed in October 2016. We find that the eleven-party agreement, now renamed as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), is a much smaller deal than the twelve-party one, but that some parties do better without the United States in the deal, in particular those in the Western Hemisphere - Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Peru. For the politically relevant medium term, the United States stands to be less well-off outside the TPP than inside. Since provisional deals can be in place for a long time, the results of this study suggest that the eleven parties are better off to implement the CPTPP, leaving aside the controversial governance elements, the implications of which for national interests are unclear and which, in any event, may be substantially affected by parallel bilateral negotiations between individual CPTPP parties and the United States.

국내 지중열전도도 측정 방법의 한계 및 개선 방향 (Limitations and improvement of the in situ measurements of ground thermal conductivity in Korea)

  • The borehole heat exchanger of Geothermal Heat Pump (GHP) system should be sustainable and cost effective for long term operation. To guaranty the performance of the system thermal Response Tests (TRTs) with simple recommended procedures have been applied in many countries. Korea government developed a standard TRT procedure in order to control the quality on GHP projects. In the TRT procedure interpretation method has a rule that data set has to be interpreted by the line source model(LSM). The LSM employes some assumptions that surrounding medium is homogeneous and the line source is infinite and constant heat flux, however real ground condition is unisotropic and heterogeneous, and showing regional or local ground water flows in many cases. We need to develope improved evaluation models to estimate accurate ground thermal conductivity with respect to geological and influence of ground water because current TRT standard test procedure has limitations to be applied for every locations and system. This study surveyed the uncertainty of the thermal parameters from the interpretation method considering different evaluation period. The interpretation of 208 TRT data sets represents limitations of LSM application that some obtained ground thermal conductivities are statistically unstable and convergence time of ground thermal conductivity over test period shows trends responding the length of test period. This evaluation study will be helpful to provide some effective procedure for the thermal parameter estimation and to complement current TRT standard procedure.

모니터링을 이용한 중형 풍력발전기용 증속기 주축의 부하특성 분석 연구 (Study on the Load Properties of Main Shaft of Medium Size Wind-turbine Gearbox using Monitoring)

  • To improve the reliability for a wind-turbine gearbox, the mechanical loads acting on the gearbox need to be monitored and analysed exactly. This study was conducted to identify the characteristics of torques and bending moments acting on the main shaft of the gearbox using the rainflow counting method and predict the fatigue life of the main shaft by using the modified Miner's rule. While the mean wind speed became 3.5 m/s, the life of the main shaft by the acting torques was predicted as 4.3${\times}10^6$ years, and it by the bending moments was as 2.3${\times}10^4$ years. If the life of the wind turbine was estimated as 20 years, the fatigue life of the main shaft was regarded as infinite. Also, it was suggested that the life of the main shaft must be predicted by not the torques but the bending moments.

Surface elasticity and residual stress effect on the elastic field of a nanoscale elastic layer

  • The influence of surface elasticity and surface residual stress on the elastic field of an isotropic nanoscale elastic layer of finite thickness bonded to a rigid material base is considered by employing the Gurtin-Murdoch continuum theory of elastic material surfaces. The fundamental solutions corresponding to buried vertical and horizontal line loads are obtained by using Fourier integral transform techniques. Selected numerical results are presented for the cases of a finite elastic layer and a semi-infinite elastic medium to portray the influence of surface elasticity and residual surface stress on the bulk stress field. It is found that the bulk stress field depends significantly on both surface elastic constants and residual surface stress. The consideration of out-of-plane terms of the surface stress yields significantly different solutions compared to previous studies. The solutions presented in this study can be used to examine a variety of practical problems involving nanoscale/soft material systems and to develop boundary integral equations methods for such systems.

A new approach for calculation of the neutron noise of power reactor based on Telegrapher's theory: Theoretical and comparison study between Telegrapher's and diffusion noise

  • The telegrapher's theory was used to develop a new formulation for the neutron noise equation. Telegrapher's equation is supposed to demonstrate a more realistic approximation for neutron transport phenomena, especially in comparison to the diffusion theory. The physics behind such equation implies that the signal propagation speed is finite, instead of the infinite as in the case of ordinary diffusion. This paper presents the theory and results of the development of a new method for calculation of the neutron noise using the telegrapher's equation as its basis. In order to investigate the differences and strengths of the new method against the diffusion based neutron noise, a comparison was done between the behaviors of two methods. The neutron noise based on SN transport considered as a precision measuring point. The Green's function technique was used to calculate the neutron noise based on telegrapher's and diffusion methods as well as the transport. The amplitude and phase of Green's function associated with the properties of the medium and frequency of the noise source were obtained and their behavior was compared to the results of the transport. It was observed, the differences in some cases might be considerable. The effective speed of propagation for the noise perturbations were evaluated accordingly, resulting in considerable deviations in some cases.

  • 평면형 구조에서 공간영역 그린함수를 구하기 위해서는 무한 Sommerfeld 적분을 계산하여야 한다. 무한 적분을 짧은 시간에 계산하기 위한 복소 영상법(complex image method)과 2단계 근사화법(two-level method)은 전원점과 관측점 사이의 거리가 가까운 경우에는 정확하지만, 거리가 멀어지면 오차가 커지게 된 다. 본 논문에서는 실수축 상의 적분경로에서 파수영역 그린함수를 근사화 함으로써 코플래너 도파로 구조에서 기존의 결과에 비해 정확한 closed-form 그린함수를 구하는 방법을 제시하였다.
