  • We usually use two techniques(influence function and local influence) for detecting outliers. But, we cannot use these difficult techniques in elementary industrial statistics course for college students. We can use some simple graphical methods(box plot, dandelion seed plot, influence graph and cumulative deletion plot) for univariate and bivariate outlier detection and outlier effect in elementary industrial statistics course for college students.

  • In this paper, we develop noninformative priors that are used for estimating the reliability of stress-strength system under the Burr-type X distribution. A class of priors is found by matching the coverage probabilities of one-sided Bayesian credible interval with the corresponding frequentist coverage probabilities. It turns out that the reference prior is a first order matching prior. The propriety of posterior under matching prior is provided. The frequentist coverage probabilities are given for small samples.

  • In this design the sampling interval that each sampling time changes according to the valuse of the previous to sample statistics, sample mean and ranges. The VSI scheme uses large sample if the sample statistics appear near in side the control limits and smaller sample otherwise. The efficiency of the VSI scheme is compare to the FSI. It is shown that VSI control chart improves the confidence of the procedure and performens better than FSI control chart.

  • We present steganographic service model and algorism that fit feature of streaming audio book service in order to hide information of copyright and certificate of it. Secret information is encrypted with random numger by secret key that client and server share, so that increase confidentiality. We made secret data distributed randomly and evenly, and improved throughput by simplifying additional computations considering streaming environment.

  • IPSec is the security protocol that do encryption and authentication service to IP messages on network layer of the internet. This paper presents the key recovery mechanism that is applied to IKEv2 of IPSec for mobile communication environments. It results to have compatibility with IPSec and IKEv2, reduce network overhead, and perform key recovery without depending on key escrew agencies or authorized party.

  • This paper proposes a multivariate $T^2$ variable interval control chart with sampling at fixed times, where samples are taken at specified equally spared fixed time points, and additional samples are allowed between these fixed times when indicated by the preceding $T^2$ statistics. At fixed sampling tunes, the $T^2$ statistics are composed of all quality characteristics, and a part of qualify characteristics are selected to obtain $T^2$ statistics at additional sampling times. A Markov chain approach is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed chart.

  • The goal of this paper is to analysis of the trend for stream quality in Gumi industrial complex with Winters' exponential smoothing method. It used the five different monthly time series data such as BOD, COD, TN, TP and EC from January 1998 to December 2006. The data of BOD, COD, TN, TP and EC are analyzed by time series method and forecasted the trends until December 2007. The stream qualities change for the better about BOD, COD, TN and TP, but the stream qualities resulted by EC is still serious.

  • This paper proposes a variable sampling interval multivariate $T^2$ control chart with sampling at fixed times, where samples are taken at specified equally spaced fixed time points and additional samples are allowed between these fixed times when indicated by the preceding $T^2$ statistics. At fixed sampling points, the $T^2$ statistics are composed of all quality characteristics and a part of quality characteristics are selected to obtain $T^2$ statistics at additional sampling points. A Markov chain approach is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed chart. Numerical studies for the performance of the proposed chart show that the proposed chart reduces the observations obtained from a process and detects the assignable cause of a process with low correlated quality characteristics quickly.

  • Recent]y van Es (1992) and Correa (1995) proposed an estimator of entropy. In this paper, we proposed the goodness of fit test statistics for exponentiality based on Vasicek's estimator and Correa's estimator of Kullback-Leibier Information. And we compare the power of the proposed test statistics with Kolmogorov-Sminov, Kuiper, Cramer von Mises, Watson, Andersen-Darling and Finkelstein and Schefer statistics.

  • Image retrieval is a procedure to find images based on the resemblance between query image and all images. In retrieving images, the crucial step that arises is how to define the similarity between images. In this paper, we propose a new similarity measure which is based on distribution of color. We apply the new measure to retrieving two different types of images, wallpaper images and the logo of automobiles, and compare its performance to other existing similarity measures.
