Human-ware Approach on the Difference between Industrial Relations of Korea and Japan -Based on the Identification of the Gene- (한국과 일본의 기업풍토 및 경영성과 차이에 대한 휴먼웨어적 접근 -동일 유전자 측면을 기초로 하여-)

  • In this paper, we would be searching for the complemental aspects in industrial relations of Korea compared with that of Japan. It is very reasonable that historical, geographical, and especially gene analysis data are almost identical, considering that the general evaluations to the motive of Japan's industry are $\ulcorner$the modernization of the tradition$\lrcorner$. Although it is reported Korea accomplished the high economic growth rate, the economic growth rate(efficiency) could not be continued. This reason looks like that Korean proper(eigen) traits(:Gene-ware) have been oppressed and concealed by social climate such as jealousy, stratagem and hatred, we can find one of this facts in the criminal and complaint numbers as social trust measurement. There are many cases that Korean industry was distorted by the superiority/inferiority relations, for examples, the loss of the native(eigen or proper) resources, a distorted introduction of the production method and the unfolding of the industry which be not related to the characteristics of region. In this reasons, Korean industry could not play the role of Human-ware function which activates Gene-ware or, Gene-Nascence. In this Human-ware aspects, Japanese characteristics, such as $\ulcorner$Getting the basic right$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$Tendency to the origin$\lrcorner$, are to be useful in the Nascence of Gene-ware in Korean industry.

A Study on the New Paradigm of Korea Labor Movement (한국 노동운동의 뉴 패러다임에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine a new paradigm of Korea labor movement so that Korea labor union may adapt itself to change of labor environment and raise its organizing rate. Examining assignments to have to practice for a new paradigm of a labor union in the 21st century. First, common industrial relations should be constructed. To achieve it, it is necessary that labor and management have a strong partnership as a group sharing common destiny on the basis of mutual confidence. Second, unionism in the side of social reform should be settled down. Labor and capital should grope coexistence and co-prosperity through conversation and negotiation, escaping from opposition and fighting. Third, service function of a labor union should be strengthened. A labor union should offer service as pursuit of diversity, self-management and autonomy in work for laborers. Fourth, labor and management should try to stabilize industrial relations followed by industrial-level negotiations. Fifth, labor and management should try to develop human resources in cooperation between the two. Labor and management should participate in developing human resources on the basis of cooperation. If a labor union has a positive practice for a new paradigm of labor movement as above and recognition about a labor union is changed, industrial relations will realize more developmental relation.

A study on relations between strategic decision-making and its performance (전략적 의사결정의 성과에 관한 연구)

  • This paper examined whether strategic decision-making are related to its performance, using a empirical study. Variables of strategic decision-making process were procedural rationality, political behavior, and application of information technology, moderating variable was environmental unstability. The findings suggested that relations between strategic decision-making process and its performance was strongly correlated, but environmental unstability was not moderating for its performance.

  • This paper presents the intersectional dependence relations for the better efficient evaluation of the three tactical missile system(T.M.S) by use of multi-criteria decision making methodology. T.M.S alternatives A, B and C will be evaluated by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) based on entropy weight in this study. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the use of entropy weight measurement with intersectional dependence problems. This problems are evaluated five criteria : tacticals criteria, technology criteria, maintenance criteria, economy criteria, advancement criteria.

  • This paper analyses the hindrance factors of process capability. The reasons of the products which are out of specification can be accounted on the hindrance factors. An $\hat{e}$nquete which consists of 4 categories such as technical knowledge, work performance, work environment, and human relations at home and office, is prepared and handed out to 1000 works to get information. And Spearman's Correlation Coefficient (${\rho}s$) is adapted as an anaysis and consideration criterion. In consequence, it is revealed the next 4 factors become the vital hindrance factors of process capability: (1) unskillful working (2) over load for operators (3) imperfect work environment (4) incoordination of human relations And the correspondent policy can be summarized as follows: (1) propagation & fixation of I.E. techniques (2) harmonization of human relations (3) improvement of work environment (4) strengthening the T.W.I.

  • This paper presents a more efficient evaluation of alternatives by use of multi-criteria decision making methodlogy under fuzzy intersectional dependence relations. The performance evaluation of most systems such as weapons, enterprise systems etc. are multiple criteria decision making problems. The descriptions and judgements on these systems are usually linguistic and fuzzy. The traditional methods of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) are mainly used in crisp(non-fuzzy) decision applications with a very unbalanced scale of judgements and rank reversal. To overcome these problems, we will propose a new, general decision making method for evaluation models using fuzzy AHP(FAHP) under fuzzy intersectional dependence relations. The T.M.S alternatives A, B and C will be evaluted by the Fuzzy Analytic Hierachy Process (FAHP) based on entropy weight in this study. We will use symmetric triangular fuzzy numbers to indicate the relative strength of the elements in the hierachy and degree of intersection between criteria. These problems are evaluated by five criteria : tactical criteria, technology criteria, maintenance criteria, economy criteria, advacement criteria.

  • This article examines customer repurchase intention change. Specially we focus whether pre-purchase expectation and post-purchase satisfactions to retailers contribute to repurchase intention change. The previous works of customer satisfaction and repurchase intention were empirically tested the product based on the disconfirmation theory. But this study present the relations between the satisfaction and repurchase intention to stores. First, this study deliberately classified the types of stores. And I set the repurchase intention process apart into three part for empirical wok. In one part, the effect of trust has on expectation was tested. At the second procedure I test the expectation impact to satisfaction. Part three was about the relations between satisfaction and repurchase. In empirical test, convenience 200 sample was used. For these sample I use questionnaires that include the intensity of repurchase intention to postpurchase dissonance. Statistically regression uses as a solid tool to prove the relations between consumer satisfaction and repurchase. MANOVA results support the level of effect that different each store. They were supported through regression analysis. Also, by MANOVA the difference of them was turned out to be significant.

  • In order to enhance the national competitiveness of the korean knowledge economy it is necessary to establish new, cooperative industrial relations. In the past mass production economy the technological innovations generally substitute the real assets for the labour so that the interest conflict between employers and employees was inherent and the resistance of the labourers to innovations was unavoidable. In the knowledge economy, however, the real assets and the labour are complementary to each other and the investments in skills and education bring increasing returns. These are the most important reasons for the common interest of employers and employees in improved skills and advanced education. In the knowledge economy, therefore, establishing and maintaining the cooperative industrial relations is a necessary condition to maximize the value creation, where in Korea the 'Tripartite Commission' can and has to play a active role.

A Documentary Study on the Economic Success of Ireland caused by FDI - focusing on the Role of the Social Partnership (외국인 직접투자가 아일랜드 경제발전에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 사회협약의 역할과 성과를 중심으로)

  • There have been many critical point of view on the Korean industrial relations arguing that its conflictual nature and combative unions, and too much protective labor laws make the foreign investors to avoid Korea as an investment location. This argument has been raised since IMF' financial bail-out when Korea needed badly foreign FDI. Since then, however, any significant improvement in industrial relations field has not been made. In this kind of dead-lock situation, the Ireland' success story give us an important lesson, in which the strong economic growth had been made through the massive FDI, stimulated by the social partnership between government, unions and employers. Our study has an aim to examine the several success factors for Ireland's economic success, and to take a deep look into the context and characteristics of the Ireland' social partnership, and its outcome. We also try to draw some lessons to Korean economy, in particular, in its economic policy and industrial relations.
