  • Polypropylene filaments were spun from a mixture of PP chips of two different Melt Flow Index (MFI) (3 MFI and 35 MFI). A significant difference was observed in the melting characteristics of the resultant filaments from either of the individual components as observed from the DSC. The main difference being in the degree of melting achieved at any temperature in the initial stages of the melting range, which was found to be higher in case of the filaments spun from the b]end. These filaments were then thermally bonded using silicon oil bath and heated roller method. Subsequently the bond strength of the filaments was measured on the Instron Tensile Tester using the loop technique. The values of the world strengths obtained from the blend were compared with those made from the individual component. It was found that the bond strength of the bonds obtained from the blended filament at a given temperature was higher than that of the bonds made from the filaments of either of the individual components, which is also suggested by the DSC curves. The difference in the bond strength was found to be as high as 25% in case of the blend with 60:40 composition ratios of the 3 MFI and 35 MFI components respectively.

  • It is important to concern about individual difference on every subject and every class. How can we know the individual difference? It is helpful for that to find out students' math learning style and learning type. In this paper, I conducted a survey to look for math learning style and math learning type of 4th, 5th and 6th grade students, and analyzed those data. The research findings are summarized as follows; First, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students prefer the visual learning style to the verbal style, and they have more wholistic tendency than analytical tendency in the domain of the cognitive learning style. Second, they prefer the authoritative and goal-oriented learning style to the practical and recreational learning style, and they have more interior-oriented than exterior-oriented in the domain of affective learning style. Third, the representative math learning type of 4th, 5th and 6th grade students is visual/holistic/authoritative and goal-oriented/interior-oriented. The math learning styles of students have a lot of influence on their learning, so that an appropriate teaching method for each student could arouse a maximum effect in the math study.

  • Difference of individual character is defined Cerebral Hemispheric Model(CHM) to develop individual intellectual abilities in this paper. Component of preferred online-game is surveyed in accordance with individual character, and investigated for possible applications. An individual is classified with 2 modes of CHM that take charge of intellectual abilities; abilities is character, taste, personality decision-making and behavior patterns; that is closely related to creativity. Difference of game component could be investigated with correlation table of cerebral preference patterns (CPP) that was drawn up with survey. Individual brain preferences (IBP) became clear through preference of individual in the investigation, and suggested concept guide-line to develop other brain preferences. Thus, this study is able to realize from education game to a great variety of contents that base on the development of thinking-faculties as optimization of user preference, can be the basic data of self-development, to improve intellectual faculties as development of individual thinking preference.

  • This research target students who are majoring in sports at junior colleges and it purpose lies in analyzing the differences in the perspectives towards sports related occupations following the individual characteristics of the students. First, when it comes to the difference of the interest in an organization, sophomore shows more difference than freshman and students who are more than 23 years old shows more difference than students who are 21 or 22 years old. Second, when it comes to the difference in economic incomes, sophomore shows more difference than freshman and students who are more than 23 years old shows more difference than students who are 19 or 20 years old. Third, when it comes to the difference in societal status, sophomore shows more difference than freshman. Fourth, when it comes to the difference in the sense of pride towards one's occupation, male students shows more difference than female students, freshman shows more difference than sophomore and students who are more than 23 years old shows more difference than students who are 21 or 22 years old and 19 or 20 years old. Fifth, when it comes to the difference in preference, male students shows more difference than female students. Sixth, when it comes to the rise of social position, there is no difference in sex, school year or age.

  • This paper experimentally studies the performance of negotiation considering individual and party, like a country, share of benefit over the best ones. It experiments two-stage bargaining games, internal and external negotiations. From the experimental results, this paper shows strong tendency to select fair allocation in the internal negotiations, but the tendency would be weaker with attractive outside option. In addition, the outside option may claim difference in individual benefit. From the regressions on individual performance in the negotiations, being a proposing party would matter to enhance the performance. However, relative individual performance within party fairness matters. Still attractive no-agreement options happen to break the tendency. As policy implication for trade negotiation, this paper warns that possible loss in individual benefit from not active participation to the external negotiations, no active role of proposer in case that players stick to internal allocations, and deviation of advantageous sector due to attractive outside options.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of individual cultural disposition on the perception of contextual information and attitude toward contextual material, and to provide the effective ways of delivering information. To investigate individual cultural disposition, this study employed Triandis(1988)'s cultural scale that classified people into four categories using individualism/collectivism and vertical/horizontal dimensions. The results revealed that Korean college students had higher horizontal collectivism than other cultural dispositions, but only a few Korean college students had vertical individualism. The results using regression analysis revealed that Korean college students with vertical collectivism significantly perceived more contextual information than other groups.

  • This study was conducted concerning convergence education practice to examine the difference of learning activity participation based on college students' individual traits such as gender, grade and major. To achieve the purpose, the types of learning activity were divided into teacher-directed type, teacher-intervened type, peer-leader type, students' mutual initiative type, and then the difference of types of participation in learning activities based on learners' traits was examined. The results of crosstabs showed that there were differences in the participation of learning activities depending on the students' individual traits. The participation of girl students in gender, first year students in school-year, and students of Health & Social Service in major was significantly high.

  • In recent studies for explaining the causation of crime fear shows interest and effort in studies attempting microscopical individual level and macroscopical local level of sex, age, economic level, crime damage level and etc. However, in this study, it is considered that interest and analysis of individual on characteristics of these local level may has its difference depends on crime damage experience in the past, fragility precision of crime damage and interest on crime relating information and processed positive analysis on characteristics of individual and relation of crime fear on individual level before making an attempt of connecting microscopical level and macroscopical level. Therefore, the purpose of this study is on positive verification of how people feel about crime fear depends on individual's characteristic and also how much effect would they receive. As the result of this study, it is shown that first, population statistical characteristics that crime damage experience is statistically meaningful of its difference of each group are age, status of marriage, final education status and residential area and for the fragility precision of crime damage was sex and status of marriage and for the interest about the crime relating information has meaningful difference statistically of each group depends on sex, age, final education status, income of the house and location of residential area. Second, after processing correlation analysis on individual characteristic primary factor and crime fear, the result of 3 primary factor independent variable all shows statistically meaningful correlation with crime fear and especially fragility primary factor on crime damage showed the most high correlation with crime fear. Lastly, fragility of crime damage, interest on crime information and crime damage experience has effected as characteristics of individual and especially fragility of crime damage which the person thought to be the most fragility on crime damage out of these individual characteristic primary factor showed to have the most effecting primary factor.

  • A new finite difference model is developed for solute transport in a fractured medium that can consider advection, adsorption, first-order decay, and scale-dependent dispersivity of individual fractures. In the model, the dispersivity of individual fractures is employed as a variable increasing with travel distance from a source. The model is verified using an analytical solution for a single fracture. A solution from the new model is independent of the outlet boundary condition of fractures, and has little numerical dispersion error.
