급속 열처리 온도가 HfO2 박막의 구조적 및 광학적 특성에 미치는 효과 (Effect of RTA Temperature on the Structural and Optical Properties of HfO2 Thin Films)

  • 본 연구에서는 고주파 마그네트론 스퍼터링 법을 이용하여 $HfO_2$ 박막을 제작하고, 질소 분위기에서 급속 열처리 온도에 따른 $HfO_2$ 박막의 구조적 및 광학적 특성을 조사하였다. XRD 측정을 통해 열처리 유무에 상관없이 $HfO_2$ 박막은 다결정 구조를 가짐을 확인할 수 있었고, 열처리 온도가 증가함에 따라 반가폭은 감소하는 추세를 나타내었다. 박막의 표면을 AFM 으로 조사한 결과, $600^{\circ}C$ 에서 열처리한 박막의 표면 거칠기가 3.454 nm 로 가장 작은 값을 나타내었다. 모든 $HfO_2$ 박막들은 가시광 영역에서 약 80% 정도의 투과도를 나타내었다. 또한 투과도와 반사도로부터 구한 굴절률과 셀마이어 분산 관계로부터, 파장에 따른 $HfO_2$ 의 굴절률을 예측할 수 있었다. $600^{\circ}C$ 에서 열처리 한 $HfO_2$ 박막이 2.0223 (${\lambda}=632nm$) 의 높은 굴절률과 0.963 의 높은 우수한 충진율을 나타내었다.

지형지수를 기반으로 한 유역의 상대적인 포화도 산정 (Estimation of Basin Relative Saturation by Topographic Index)

  • 다양한 수문학적 순환 성분들의 영향을 받는 유역의 포화과정은 토양층의 공간적 이질성과 맞물려 매우 복잡한 거동특성을 보이는 것으로 알려져 왔다. 이와 관련하여 주목해 볼 만한 지형인자 중의 하나로서 지형지수(topographic index)를 들 수 있다. 지형지수는 TOPMODEL의 주요한 입력변수 중의 하나로서 그 공간적 분포에 따라 유역의 상대적인 포화도를 용이하게 평가할 수 있는 객관적인 수단을 제공한다. 하지만 신뢰성 있는 지형지수의 산정은 상당히 까다로운 작업으로서 정확한 지형지수를 산정할 수 있는 절대적인 방법은 존재하지 않는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이는 지금까지 개발된 DEM을 기반으로 한 각종 흐름방향 모의기술의 수준이 아직 자연적인 지형형상을 완전히 반영하지 못함에 기인한다. 본 연구에서는 8-흐름방향방법의 단점을 보완하기 위하여 개발된 바 있는 $\infty$-흐름방향방법에 따라 지형지수를 산정하여 유역이 공간적으로 포화되어 가는 과정을 모의하여 보았다. $\infty$-흐름방향방법은 각도의 형태로 흐름방향을 산정하여 고정된 흐름방향의 구속에서 벗어남과 동시에 최소한의 흐름분산(flow dispersion) 모의를 허용하여 유역규모의 포화과정을 효율적으로 모의할 수 있는 수단으로 판단된다. 대상유역으로는 설마천 유역을 선택하였으며 지형분석 과정에는 Arc GIS를 기반으로 운용되는 software 중의 하나인 TauDEM을 적용하였다. 아래 그림은 각각 포화도 20%, 50%, 90%에 해당하는 포화역을 도시한 것으로 하천망으로 중심으로 유역이 공간적으로 포화되어 가는 과정을 효율적으로 나타내고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 제시되는 방법론은 자연유역의 유출응답 속에 내재하는 동적특성이나 비선형특성에 대한 체계적인 접근을 가능하게 하는 효율적인 수단을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Propagation characteristics of longitudinal wave, shear wave and bending wave in porous circular nanoplates

  • On the basis of nonlocal strain gradient theory, considering the material properties of porous FGM changing with thickness and the influence of moment of inertia, the wave equation of FG nano circular plate is derived by using the first-order shear deformation plate theory, by introducing dimensionless parameters, we transform the equations into dimensionless wave equations, and the dispersion relations of bending wave, shear wave and longitudinal wave are obtained by Laplace and Hankel integral transformation method. The influence of nonlocal parameter, porosity volume fraction, strain gradient parameters and power law index on the propagation characteristics of bending wave, shear wave and longitudinal wave in FG nano circular plate.

환경친화적인 도시공원녹지계획 연구 - 생물서식처 연결성 향상을 위한 서울시 녹지조성 방안을 중심으로 - (Environment Friendly Urban Open Space Planning - Enhancing the Connectivity of Habitats in Seoul, Korea -)

  • Connectivity is a quantitative indicator of landscape structure, and connectivity of urban green areas is an indicator of ecological integrity in urban landscapes. The purposes of this study are to assess the connectivity of urban green areas in Seoul, and to develop a method of siting new green areas for better connectivity. Diverse methods for connectivity assessment and indices of connectivity are reviewed and applied to the connectivity assesment of green areas in Seoul. The indices of connectivity of green areas in Seoul turned out to be higher than expected, maybe because many of them are rather evenly distributed, serving as stepping stones, and because there are many riparian corridors, including the Han River. Analysis also shows the optimum location of new green space patches or corridors will be those spots that would link the mainland, or large green areas outside the city, and existing green areas in the city. Restoration of urban streams as ecological corridors will significantly enhance connectivity. Three different scenarios with increasing numbers of new green areas in the city were then prepared. The changes of connectivity were measured and the possible success rates of animal dispersal were simulated. The results revealed that restoration of streams will increase the connectivity and success rates of animal dispersal.

LTCC 슬러리 및 그린시트의 물성 변화에 미치는 혼합용매 조성의 영향 (Effect of Solvent Mixture on the Properties of LTCC Slurry and Green Sheets)

  • The effects of binary solvent mixtures with various ratios of toluene and ethanol on the properties of slurries and green sheets were investigated. Viscosity of slurry was changed by varying the ratio of solvent mixture which affected the solubility of binder. The relative solvency behavior of a solvent mixture could be predicted with the Hildebrand solubility parameter(${\delta}$) and hydrogen bonding index( ${\gamma}$). The minimum viscosity, the best dispersion of binder, was reached at the composition of toluene:ethanol=4:6, which corresponded to our forecast. The mechanical properties of green sheets related to evaporation of solvents were influenced by the composition of the solvent mixture. At the azeotrope the skin was formed on a drying cast during the drying process because of fast evaporation. At a range of concentrations over 50wt% toluene, green sheets could not be fully dried at low temperature due to excessive toluene. The mechanical properties of green sheets were excellent at the azeotrope-like composition of toluene:ethanol=4:6 which has a little excess of toluene over the azeotrope.

Effect of ${\gamma}$-Ray Irradiation on Surface Oxidation of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene/Zirconia Composite Prepared by in situ Ziegler-Natta Polymerization

  • Novel ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE)/zirconia composites were previously prepared by the in situ polymerization of ethylene using a Ti-based Ziegler-Natta catalyst supported on to the surface of zirconia, as a bearing material for artificial joints. Tribological tests revealed that a uniform dispersion of zirconia in UHMWPE markedly increased the wear resistance. The effects of zirconia content on the oxidation behavior of the ${\gamma}$-ray-treated UHMWPE/zirconia composite surfaces were examined. The oxidation index that estimates the oxidation degree as the content of total carbonyl compounds was monitored using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy-attenuated total reflectance. The changes in the surface composition due to the oxidation were confirmed by electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis. The extent of oxidation decreased with increasing zirconia content, which was attributed to the increased crystallinity as well as the decreased polymer portion of the UHMWPE/zirconia composites.

Effect of Gum Addition on the Rheological Properties of Rice Flour Dispersions

  • The effect of five commercial gums (carboxylmethylcellulose, CMC; guar gum, GG; hydroxypropylmethyl-cellulose, HPMC; locust bean gum, LBG; and xanthan gum) at a concentration of 0.25% on the rheological properties of rice flour (RF) dispersions was investigated in steady and dynamic shear. The steady shear rheological properties showed that RF gum mixture dispersions (5%, w/w) at $25^{\circ}C$ had high shear-thinning flow behavior (n=0.20-0.31) exhibiting a yield stress. Magnitudes of consistency index (K), apparent viscosity (${\eta}_{a,100}$), and Casson yield stress (${\sigma}_{oc}$) of RF-gum mixtures were much higher than those of RF dispersion with no added gum (control). Activation energy values (6.67-10.8 kJ/mole) of RF-gum mixtures within the temperature range of $25-70^{\circ}C$ were lower than that (11.9 kJ/mole) of the control. Dynamic rheological data of log (G', G") versus log frequency (${\omega}$) of RF-gum mixtures had positive slopes (0.15-0.37) with G' greater than G" over most of the frequency range (0.63-63 rad/sec), demonstrating a frequency dependency. Tan ${\delta}$ (G"/G') values of RF-gum mixtures, except for xanthan gum, were much higher than that of the control.

강원 중ㆍ북부 지역의 잣나무 임분구조 및 생장특성 (A Study on Stand Structure and Growth Characteristics of Korean White Pine (Pinus koraiensis) in North Central Region of Gangwon Province)

  • The purpose of this research was to figure out the stand structure and growth characteristic with relation to DBH, height, and volume in sixteen Pinus koraiensis plantations of Gangwon province region. Age class was diversely distributed from age class II (16 yr) to age class VIII (77 yr), and, in terms of site index, sixteen regions were superior: nine regions 'high', seven regions 'middle'. The distribution of DBH by sites appeared a bell-shaped curve, and the number of trees was the most in diameter section of 18-22 cm. The dispersion of DBH was various with age and widest ranging from 18 cm to 58 cm in age class VII-VIII. The distribution of height was also a bell-shaped curve with the smaller deviation than the distribution of DBH, and most of trees were in height section of 14-18 m. The correlation of DBH and height was high (r=0.75), and the volume bigger than 1.0 $m^3$ was presented from DBH 35 cm, height 20 m.

Observation of the Ground Subsidence in the Abandoned Gaeun Coal Mining Area using JERS-l SAR

  • The ground subsidence that occurred in an abandoned coal mining area, Gaeun, Korea, was observed by using 25 JERS-1 SAR interferograms from November 1992 to October 1998. We estimated the subsidence on a subset of image pixels corresponding to point-wise permanent scatters (PSs) by exploiting a long temporal series of interferometric phases. The results were compared it with a distribution map of in situ examined crack level. PSs were identified by means of amplitude dispersion index and coherence of the interferograms. The measured subsidence rate represented the average velocity in a period of image acquisition and excluded complex nonlinear displacements such as an abrupt collapse. The mean line-of-sight velocity in the study area is 0.19cm/yr and an r.m.s. error is 0.18cm/yr. The center of the abandoned Gaeun coal mine (0.49cm/yr) and the area near to the Gaeun station (1.66cm/yr) were observed as most rapidly subsiding areas.

  • $TiO_2$ films prepared by RF magnetron sputtering, electron beam evaporation, ion assisted deposition (IAD) and sol-gel method are prepared on c-Si substrate and vitreous silica substrate respectively. From the transmission spectra of $TiO_2$ films on vitreous silica substrate in the spectral region from 190 nm to 900 nm, k($\lambda$) of $TiO_2$ is obtained. Using k($\lambda$) in the interband transition region the coefficients of the quantum mechanical dispersion relation of an amorphous $TiO_2$ and hence n($\lambda$) including the optically opaque region of above fundamental transition energy are obtained. The spectroscopic ellipsometry spectra of $TiO_2$ films in the spectral region of 1.5-5.0eV are model analyzed to get the film packing density variation versus i) substrate material, ii) film thickness and iii) film growth technique. The complex refractive index change of these $TiO_2$ films versus water condensation is also studied. Film micro-structures by SE modelling results are compared with those by atomic force microscopy images and X-ray diffraction data.
