Tilt Angle Generation in NLC on Homeotropic Polymer Surface with Ion Beam Irradiation as a Function of Incident Angle

  • We have studied the tilt angle generation on the homeotropic polyimide (PI) surface using a low intensity ion beam source as a function of incident angle. An excellent LC alignment of nematic liquid crystal (NLC) on the PI surface with ion beam exposure for all incident angles was observed. The tilt angle of NLC on the homeotropic PI surface for all incident angles was from 90 to 88 degree was observed. Also the tilt angle of NLC on the homeotropic PI surface with ion beam exposure of 400 eV had a tendency to increase as ion beam energy incident angle become more instance from 45 degree. Finally, a good LC alignment thermal stability on the homeotropic PI surface with ion beam exposure can be achieved.

민간경비원들의 사건충격과 직무스트레스 요인 분석 (Incident shock and job Stressor analysis in Private Guards)

  • 본 연구는 민간경비원들의 사건충격이 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향을 심층적으로 분석하고 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 2012년 수도권소재 민간경비원 10명을 대상으로 참여관찰과 심층면담분석방법을 이용하였다. 수집된 인터뷰 자료는 컴퓨터를 이용하여 부호화 하였으며, 사건충격, 직무영향, 직무스트레스, 조직생활 등으로 분석하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 민간경비원들은 업무현장에서 발생된 자살, 테러위협, 상사의 비리 등과 같은 사건충격은 큰 심리적 불안감을 주고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 민간경비원들은 과거에 겪었던 사건충격으로 인해 업무에 대한 두려움, 대인기피 증 현상으로 인해 타 업무 분야로 이직하는데 중요한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 민간경비원들은 과거 자신이 경험한 사건충격으로 인해 상당부분의 직무스트레스를 경험했던 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 과거 사건충격은 고객접점에 직접적인 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 민간경비원들은 과거 사건충격을 극복하지 못할 경우 개인의 조직생활을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 사건충격은 민간경비 조직문화에서 상사부하간의 신뢰형성 및 팀웍을 감소시킨다.

고속도로 교통사고 시 돌발상황 지속시간 영향 요인 분석 (A Study on the Influencing Factors for Incident Duration Time by Expressway Accident)

  • 교통사고 발생시점부터 사고처리가 완료된 시점까지를 돌발상황 지속시간(Incident Duration Time)이라고 정의하는데, 이를 단축시켜야만 교통사고 피해를 최소화할 수 있다. 본 연구는 고속도로 교통사고를 대상으로 돌발상황 지속시간에 영향을 주는 요인들을 찾아내기 위한 모형을 개발하였다. 모형은 모든 사고자료에 포함한 통합 모형(모형1)과 일반구간, 교량, 터널 등 교통사고 장소별로 구분하여 분석한 세부 모형(모형 2, 3, 4) 등 모두 4개의 모형을 구축하였다. 분석 결과, 교통사고가 발생한 장소에 따라 돌발상황 지속시간에 다른 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 현장 처리를 위한 작업차량 도착시간이 가장 민감한 요인으로 분석되었다. 또한 차-차 사고, 화물차에 의한 사고, 야간 사고, 주말 사고 등의 시사점 있는 요인들을 찾아냈다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 교통사고 관리대책을 수립하는 데 있어 중요한 판단지표로 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

병원 간호사의 환자안전문화 인식, 사건보고 및 안전간호활동: 일 대학병원을 중심으로 (A Study on Patient Safety Culture, Incident Reporting and Safety Care Activities of Clinical Nurses in a University-Affiliated Hospital)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate perception of patient safety culture, incident reporting, and safety care activities among clinical nurses and to identify factors associated with the safety care activities. Methods: Structured questionnaires were used to collect data from 155 nurses who were involved in direct patient-care. Results: Descriptive statistical anaylses revealed that the mean score of patient safety culture was $3.26{\pm}0.32$ and $4.19{\pm}0.41$ was for the safety care activities. In incident reporting, reporting intention ($3.56{\pm}0.68$), belief in improvement ($3.42{\pm}0.60$), worry about appraisal ($3.37{\pm}0.65$) and reporting knowledge ($3.36{\pm}0.72$) respectively. Correlational analyses showed that perceived patient safety culture (r=.36), reporting intention (r=.34), belief in improvement (r=.32), and the knowledge (r=.38) in incident reporting were positively correlated with safety care activities, while the worry about appraisal in incident reporting attitude was negatively correlated. The factors associated with safety care activities were incident reporting knowledge (${\beta}=.31$, p<.001), supervisor/managers' attitudes toward patient safety culture (${\beta}=.29$, p<.001), belief in improvement of incident reporting attitude (${\beta}=.16$, p=.041). Conclusion: These results suggest that to improve safety care activities among hospital nurses, it is necessary to educate nurses on incident reporting. Also, a system-level approach is needed to support leadership in patient safety and to provide positive feedback on incident reporting.

정형/비정형 데이터 기반 사회재난 안전 플랫폼 설계 (A Design of the Social Disasters Safety Platform based on the Structured and Unstructured Data)

  • 연구목적: 자연재난은 행정안전부가 재난관리 주관기관으로 관리체계가 잘 구성되어 있는 반면에 사회재난은 그 관리가 부처별로 분산되어 있어 통합적인 관점의 관리가 부실한 상태이다. 통합적 관리를 위한 정보체계 구성과 플랫폼 개발을 통하여 지자체 등에서 활용할 수 있게 하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 연구방법: 각 부처별로 분산된 재난 정보로 사고조사 보고서(비정형 데이터)를 포함한 재난 정보를 통합하고 분석할 수 있는 DB 구축과, 인명 피해 중심의 사회 재난에 대한 위험성 평가를 통한 재난 관리체계를 제공하고, 실시간으로 제공되는 사고 진행에 대한 인명 피해 예측과 사고 원인 추론 체계를 제시한다. 연구결과: 정형 및 비정형 재난 정보를 관리하는 시스템 설계, 인명중심 사회재난 위험성 평가 방법 제시, 그리고 실시간 재난 모니터링을 통하여 분석할 수 있는 체계 설계, 그리고 이를 기반으로 서비스할 수 있는 플랫폼을 설계하였다. 결론: 사회재난 정보를 통합 운영할 수 있는 플랫폼과 사고조사를 통한 인명피해 원인과 위험도를 제시하는 체계를 구축하였다.

해안구조물 전면의 Stem Wave특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of the Stem Wave in front of the Coastal Structure)

  • Numerical experiments have been conducted using the nonlinear combined refraction-diffraction model, in order to analyze the generation characteristics of stem wave, which is formed by the interaction between vertical structure and the oblique incident waves. The results of stem wave are discussed through the stem wave height distribution along/normal vertical structure, under the wide range of incident wave conditions-wave heights, periods, depths, and angles. Under the same wave height and period, the larger the incident wave angle, the higher the stem wave heights. According to the results of wave height distribution, in front of vertical structure, the maximum of stern wave heights occurs in the location bordering the vertical wall. Furthermore, the most significant result is that stem waves occur under the incident angles between $0^{\circ}\;and\;30^{\circ}$, and the stem wave height ratio has the maximum value, which is approximately 1.85 times the incident wave height when the incident wave angle becomes $23^{\circ}$.

Investigating the Determinants of Major IT Incident Tickets: A Case Study of an IT Service Provider Firm for Logistics and Distribution Industry

  • Purpose - This study investigates the determinants that affect the number of IT Incident tickets of an IT Service Provider ("ITSP") to logistics industry in order to improve its management process by reducing the incident tickets. Research design, data, and Methodology - This study uses weekly data of IT incident tickets from September 2012 to June 2015. Correlation and regression analyses are conducted. Six identified determinants i.e., IT Change, User Errors, Shipment Volume, Network, Hardware and Software Issues are used as the explanatory variables. Results - Our findings show as following. First, our analysis indicates that IT Change is not a significant determinant as opposed to what commonly believed by many as the most important factor. Second, Software issue is the highest contributor to the Major IT incident tickets, followed by User Error, Network and Hardware issues. Third, it seems there is lead-lag relationship between IT Change and Major IT Incidents tickets as indicated by earlier studies. Fourth, the relationship between IT Change and Major IT tickets is also affected by shipment volume. Conclusions - As policy recommendation, all identified determinants should be treated according to priority. In addition, improving the way IT Changes are implemented will definitely reduce the IT incident tickets.

타워크레인 사고 위험 지각에 영향을 미치는 위험 요인에 관한 연구(타워크레인 업무유형의 조절효과를 중심으로) (A study on risk factors having effect on perception of tower crane incident risk)

  • Construction sites have gradually become bigger and bigger according to Korea economic growth. Also use of tower crane and other heavy equipment has been increased. The increased use of heavy equipment like tower crane is leading to fatality incident. This study will verify hazards to influence tower crane incident through structural and positive verification and find which hazard influence incident risk. The result of this study is as follows. First, while there is a significant difference between safety managers and tower crane operators for working environment, safety management, personal manage among risk factors, we can not find any evidence on the difference in perception of tower crane incident risk between them. Second, task manage risk and personal manage risk has a significant positive effect on perception of tower crane incident risk. Third, while site environment risk has a significant positive moderating effect of task type between risk factors and perception of tower crane incident risk, personal environment risk has a significant negative moderating effect between them.

급경사 해저면에 대한 파랑의 반응특성 (The Characteristics of Waves on the Steep Sloping Sea Bottom)

  • This study discusses the interacting with deep water waves approaching from deep water based on the linear wave theory and steep sloping sea bottom floor by the numerical procedure. The results of particular interest are particle velocity and acceleration in x, y, z direction wave height amplification factor reflection coefficient and dimensionless pressure distribution on the steep sloping bottom with respect to the various incident wave angle. The wave loads relative to various bottom slopes, incident wave angles and wave periods on submerged breakwater and pipe are represented in comparison with mild sloping bottom the wave load parameters on the steep sloping bottom seemed to be influenced by variation of incident wave angle. In general the particle velocities and accelerations in x, y, z directions on the steep sloping bottom represented larger value or about two than those on the mild sloping bottom according to incident wave angle. However, the wave height amplification factors did not show distinct difference, but the slight variation with respect to the various incident angle showed on mild sloping bottom. The reflection coefficient increased with respect to increase of the incident angle on the steep sloping bottom the results also indicate that the very steep sloping beach produces a rather substantial amount of reflection as we expected. No significant variation of wave pressure was shown on the steep sloping bottom but it represented a certain amount of variation on the mild sloping bottom according to the various incident wave angle. The analysis at the OTEC site also showed similar results.
