Each company is more interested in the productivity to achieve cost reduction and profit maximization through productivity improvement. With this trend, we show the method to measure productivity using TPM(Total Productivity Model) which considers all the input factors of the company instead of using partial productivity such as labor and/or capital productivity We also examine the relation of productivity versus output, profit versus output and profit versus productivity of the case company by actually applying the TPM and suggest the optimal level of profit and output for this company.

Recent rapid economical growth has brought many of changes and great improvement in quality of life in Korea. In accordance with this social trend, there are diversified lifestyles which influence consumer behavior, The purpose of this study was to develop an instrument that is able to measure more efficiently current housing lifestyle pattern. Eighty questioning items were analyzed and reclassified into same characteristics by using Q-sorting method.

A practical algorithm of generating most probable states in decreasing order of probability, given the probability of each unit\`s state, is suggested for approximating reliability(performability) evaluation of a network with multistate(multimode) units. Method of approximating network reliability for a given measure with most probable states is illustrated with a numerical example. The proposed method in this paper is compared with the previous method regarding memory requirement. Our method has some advantages for computation and achieves improvement with regard to memory requirement for a certain condition judging from the computation experiment.

Enormous instruments have been installed to measure movement and stresses during and after the construction of Seoul Subway. However, a number of problems have been noticed and reported, such as planning, calibration, installation, contract procedure etc. Some of them are presented and discussed in this paper in order to call an attention to these problems and provide a baseline for the future improvement.

본 논문에서는 RFID 태그 인프라 혹은 RFID 태그 플로어 상에서 RFID 리더를 이용한 위치추정 시에 RFID리더의 송출전력을 제어하여 위치추정 성능을 향상시키는 방법을 제시한다. 또한 RFID 위치 추정 문제에 대하여 정의하고 이들의 성능을 비교하는 성능 기준 (Performance measure)을 이용하여 송출전력을 제어할 경우와 그렇지 않은 경우의 위치추정 성능을 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해서 비교한다.

In this paper we propose a controller which has the capability of disturbance measurement calibration for Cds array sensors in a magnetic levitation system. Steady state error due to environment light condition or external disturbance is corrected constantly. The correction is made by the sensors to measure the ball position of the system without additional deployment of sensors.

Taguchi's parameter design is a method for quality improvement by making the performance fo a system robust to noise. Parameter design with dynamic characteristics has been recently the subject of much interest. This paper is concerned with a review and a generalization of the Signal-to-Noise (SN) ratio, a quality measure for parameter design with dynamic characteristics, proposed by Taguchi. We present a method for determination and analysis of the generalized SN ratio and illustrate its implementation by example.

This study is based on Parasuraman, Zeithaml 8l Berry［19］`s SERVQUAL measure that develop for estimation of service quality, so this study proposes the present condition of customer service and improvement method on internet search engine. This study also develops a questionnaire for analyzing customer satisfaction considering the present condition of internet service. We're going to analyze the customer service quality that classified by search engines, service quality with university students who use usually internet.

This paper presents the method of load management to measure the winter season's load characteristics of distribution pole transformers. The proposed load model constructed used by the quadratic load correlation coefficients. To verify the estimated model, we compared with linear model by calculation results. The results can contribute an improvement of conventional load management method.

This paper shows the recent changes of national transportation policies in some developed countries and argues that the evaluation method of the effect of transportation investment on national economy should be improved to reveal real impact of the investment. The evaluation method should develope effective performance indicators of the goals set in national transportation policy. To estimate correctly the magnitude of transportation services in national economy, the evaluation method also provides a way to measure in-house transportation services and to overcome the limits of marginal effect equal equation.
