외국인 직접 투자(FDI)가 GVC 참여도와 수출 부가가치에 미치는 영향 (Foreign Direct Investment(FDI), GVC Participation and Trade in Value Added)

  • This study analyzes the effects of FDI on the global value chain (GVC) using participation and export value added using panel data from 2005 to 2016 for 63 countries. This study used the GLS method. Results are as follows: First, foreign direct investment had a positive impact on the global value chain (GVC) participation and export value added of non-OECD economies. Furthermore, tariff rates were more sensitive to non-OECD countries than OECD countries. In addition, logistics infrastructure had a negative impact on global value chain (GVC) participation and export value added, while developed countries, such as OECD countries, with good infrastructure, had a positive impact on non-OECD countries. Finally, research and development costs have been shown to play a very important role in non-OECD countries. This study found that various service sectors, such as research and development (R & D) as well as the general manufacturing industry, are expanding beyond two countries to form global value chains (GVC) in which several countries are connected from production to consumption.

공유경제 모형에서의 협력적 소비 영향요인 (Collaborative Consumption Motivation Factor Model under the Sharing Economy)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine what motivates users to adopt one of the emerging applications for collaborative consumption of sharing economy. Using the self-determination theory, motivation theory and TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) as the theoretical framework, this study illustrates important factors that influence adoption of collaborative consumption service. We develops the ICTs(Information and Communications Technologies) initiatives and motivation model to collaborative consumption. Design/methodology/approach This paper makes use of a quantitative methodology using survey questionnaire that allows for the measurement of the eight constructs(System Availability, Contents Quality, Design & Personalization, Security & Privacy, Emotional & Social Value, Economic Value, Attitude, Adoption & Consumption) contained in the hypothesized theoretical model on the basis of the prior literatures. Data collected from a sample of 227 respondents who have used the collaborative consumption services and provided the foundation for the examination of the proposed relationships in the model. Findings This study has the following implications for the users and providers of CC platforms and services. The ICTs initiatives (System Availability, Contents Quality, Design & Personalization, Security & Privacy) are the influential factors that motivate the emotional and social value to CC. On the other hand, The ICTs initiatives (System Availability, Contents Quality) are not very significant factors of economic value to CC. The empirical analysis result indicate that there are significant causal effect among emotional & social value, economic value, and adoption to CC. This study provides important theoretical implications for innovation adoption research through an empirical examination of the relationship between ICTs initiatives, motivation factors to collaborative consumption in the sharing economy.

콩 품질평가 현황과 전망 (Current Achievement and Perspectives of Seed Quality Evaluation in Soybean)

  • Soybean is one of the most important sources of protein and oil in the world. Recently, emphasis has been laid on the chemical composition of soybean seeds for the processing soybean foods. Improvement of soybean components has been expected to improve food-processing quality for the processed soybean products such as soymilk and various edible ingredients as well as fur the traditional soyfoods. In Korea, soybean breeding research programmes have been focused on the quality of the products derived from soybean with yield stability, and some new modified soybean varieties haying good food-processing quality were developed recently. So the efforts of establishing standard and standardization of products in soybean are important. Three main categories should be considered in view of soybean seed quality; the marketing value such as grain size, shape, and appearance; the eating and processing value such as dehulled ratio, water absorption rate, and benny flavor; the nutritional value such as protein, lipid, and carbohydrate contents. And the new frontiers in research are looking at the functional nutrients in soybeans and how to improve them. In case marketing value, mainly the appearance is evaluated, therefore, each country has an application of standard related to quality. Each determination of standard class, heat-damaged kernels, splits, and soybeans of other colors is made on the basis of the grain when free from foreign materials. But processing value and nutritional value for standardization were not studied in detail till now. In addition, soybean has potential roles in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, most notably cancer, osteoporosis, and heart disease. The functional nutrients include a protease inhibitor, phytic acid, saponins, and isoflavones, etc.. It is believed that standardization of soybean quality should perform to overcome the difficulties, relatively high price of domestic soybean products has weakened the competitive power, in the market related to WTO. So, we should focus on further research into the evaluation and establishment of quality-standard in soybean.

The development of EASI-based multi-path analysis code for nuclear security system with variability extension

  • The Physical Protection System (PPS) plays an important role and must effectively deal with various adversary attacks in nuclear security. In specific single adversary path scenarios, we can calculate the PPS effectiveness by EASI (Estimated Adversary Sequence Interruption) through Probability of Interruption (PI) calculation. EASI uses a single value of the probability of detection (PD) and the probability of alarm communications (PC) in the PPS. In this study, we develop a multi-path analysis code based on EASI to evaluate the effectiveness of PPS. Our quantification method for PI considers the variability and uncertainty of PD and PC value by Monte Carlo simulation. We converted the 2-D scheme of the nuclear facility into an Adversary Sequence Diagram (ASD). We used ASD to find the adversary path with the lowest probability of interruption as the most vulnerable paths (MVP). We examined a hypothetical facility (Hypothetical National Nuclear Research Facility - HNNRF) to confirm our code compared with EASI. The results show that implementing the variability extension can estimate the PI value and its associated uncertainty. The multi-path analysis code allows the analyst to make it easier to assess PPS with more extensive facilities with more complex adversary paths. However, the variability of the PD value in each protection element allows a significant decrease in the PI value. The possibility of this decrease needs to be an important concern for PPS designers to determine the PD value correctly or set a higher standard for PPS performance that remains reliable.

Effects of campus dining sustainable practices on consumers' perception and behavioral intention in the United States

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Sustainability has become one of the top priorities in the foodservice industry. With an increase in consumer interest in sustainability and educational opportunities in higher education, it is important to know what sustainable practices are implemented in campus dining and how sustainable practices affect consumers' responses. This study aims to identify the key sustainable practices in the campus dining context, and investigate the relationship by applying the stimulus-organism-response framework to determine whether the key sustainable practices influence consumers' perception and behavioral intentions. SUBJECTS/METHODS: The self-administered online survey was distributed to college students in 8 dining halls at a large southeastern university in the United States from September 20-October 10, 2019. A total of 382 valid questionnaires were collected, and factor analysis and multiple regressions were utilized to test the research model. RESULTS: This study identified 4 dimensions of campus sustainability with a total of sustainable practices: sustainable food, waste management, energy/water conservation, and recycling/reuse. Three dimensions of sustainable campus practices (i.e., sustainable food, waste management, recycling/reuse) played a significant role in consumers forming a perceived value while energy/water conservation did not significantly influence the consumers' perceived value toward the campus dining. Waste management was identified as the most important practice to enhance consumers' perceived value (β = 0.330). Using sustainable food and recycling/reuse were ranked second and third, respectively (β = 0.262, β = 0.154). The findings confirmed the significant positive relationship between perceived value and revisit intentions. CONCLUSIONS: The findings support the inclusion of dining sustainability as a critical component in explaining college students' perceived value and revisit intention toward campus dining. Furthermore, this study provides practical implications for university administrators and foodservice operators to consider the key sustainable practices to meet the consumers' value and revisit intentions.

환경관심, 환경지식, 소비가치가 업사이클 제품의 구매의도 및 구매행동에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Environmental Concern, Environmental Knowledge, and Consumer Value on Purchase Intention and Behavior of Up-cycled Products )

  • With the increase in online shopping and delivery food consumption since the pandemic, solving environmental problems caused by single-use packaging has become an important issue. 'Upcycling' is a combination of 'Upgrade' and 'Recycle', and it is the rebirth of obsolete or discarded objects by adding new value to them, and there are currently various upcycled products on the market. In order to activate upcycling, consumers' awareness of the environment and their values for consumption are very important. This study aims to investigate the influence of students' environmental concern, environmental experience, and consumption value on their purchase intention of upcycled products. Based on the results of previous studies on environmental concern, environmental experience, and consumption value, hypotheses were set, and a survey was conducted among university students nationwide to test the hypotheses. The results of this study are as follows First, environmental concern has a significant positive effect on purchase intention of upcycled products. It can be seen that the more environmental concerns such as global warming and waste disposal problems increase, the more positive attitudes toward upcycled products increase. Second, the research hypothesis that environmental knowledge will have a positive effect on the purchase intention of upcycled products is rejected. It was found that environmental knowledge is acquired through environmental education and many SNS, but it does not have a direct effect on the purchase intention of upcycled products. Third, it was found that the consumption value of college students has a positive effect on the purchase intention of upcycled products by increasing their positive perception of upcycled products. Fourth, college students' purchase intention of upcycled products has a positive effect on their behavioral intention to purchase upcycled products. The results of the study provide implications for relevant organizations such as universities and companies to effectively design upcycling-related education. It is also expected to have a positive impact on the use of upcycled products by providing basic information on the characteristics of consumers who purchase upcycled products.

대졸자의 일자리적합과 직무만족 영향요인에 관한 구조모형분석 (An analysis of Structural Model for Graduates on the Influencing Factors of Job Suitability and Job Satisfaction)

  • 지금까지 대졸자에 대한 연구는 대졸자의 취업, 임금 등에 집중되어 왔다. 그러나 본 연구에서는 대졸자가 취업을 하였다면 과연 자신의 수준에 맞는 일자리를 얻게 되었는지 아니면 현재 자신의 직무에는 만족하는 지에 대한 연구로 확장하고자 한다. 이러한 연구를 위해 '2007년도 대졸자 직업이동경로조사(GOMS)' 데이터를 사용하여 대졸자의 일자리적합과 직무만족에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하고자 구조방정식모형을 설정하였다. 구체적으로 대졸자의 직업가치관, 대학 취업지원프로그램 참여를 선행요인으로 하여 일자리적합과 직무만족을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 직업가치관은 취업지원프로그램 참여에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 일자리적합과 직무만족에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 대학 취업지원프로그램 참여는 취업 시 직무만족과 일자리적합에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 이밖에 일자리적합은 직무만족에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이로서 대졸자가 재학 시 갖는 직업에 대한 가치관이 매우 중요하며 취업 시에 일자리적합이나 직무만족에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 직업 가치관이 높은 사람은 대학의 각종 취업지원프로그램에 참여하게 되고 취업 후 일자리 적합이나 직무만족을 경험하는 것으로 나타나 대학의 각종 취업지원프로그램이 대졸자들에게 중요한 역할을 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 학교 당국과 고용센터 등에서는 대학생들에게 직업 가치관을 심어 줄 수 있도록 가치관교육을 강화하여야 하며 대학의 취업지원프로그램을 개선하고 강화하여야 할 것이다.

엔지니어의 가치관에 대한 실태 조사 (A Survey on the Engineer's Sense of Value)

  • 이 연구에서는 엔지니어의 가치관에 대한 실태를 조사하기 위하여 엔지니어와 관련이 있는 총 6개 단체의 윤리강령을 대상으로 '엔지니어 윤리 또는 가치의 4가지 레벨'(찰야 순(札野 順), 2002)에 의거하여 윤리강령 분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 엔지니어를 양성하고 있는 공과대학의 교수들과 엔지니어로서 활동하고 있는 현장 엔지니어 그리고 한국기술사회(韓國技術士會)의 회원 총 57명을 대상으로 엔지니어의 가치관에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 윤리강령에서는 엔지니어 개인의 품위 유지 및 발전, 사회 복지 및 봉사를 가장 중요한 가치로 표명하고 있었으며, 두번째로 직무의 성실 정직성, 세 번째로 협동 신의 및 상호존중, 기술의 개발과 축적, 네 번째로 전문직으로서의 사명, 법칙, 규칙 및 규정 준수, 인류번영 및 세계평화공헌, 마지막으로 기술 활용의 독립성으로 나타났다. 자문위원의 설문조사 결과, 현재 엔지니어가 전문분야와 관련된 의사를 결정할 때 중요하다고 생각하는 가치는 1위가 실용성 및 경제성, 2위가 안전성 및 품질확보, 3위가 고객의 요구사항 만족, 4위가 인류 사회 대중의 이익, 5위가 경제적 대우(연봉)로 나타났다. 미래 엔지니어가 전문분야와 관련된 의사를 결정할 때 중요하다고 생각하는 가치는 1위가 실용성 경제성 및 합리성, 2위는 안정성 및 품질확보, 3위는 인류 사회 대중의 이익, 4위는 진실성 및 정직성, 5위는 객관성 및 공정성으로 나타났다. 자문위원의 직업에 따른 엔지니어 가치관으로는 대학에서 종사하는 자문위원의 경우 실용성 경제성 및 합리성을, 기업에서 종사하는 자문위원의 경우 안전성 및 품질확보를 가장 중요하게 여기고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

네트워크 분석을 이용한 한국농어촌공사 사업의 중심성 측정 (Analyzing the Degree Centrality of Korea Rural Community Corporation Business Using Network Analysis)

  • 본 연구에서는 농어촌지역 발전을 위해 공공사업을 수행하고 있는 한국농어촌공사의 사회적 가치 증진 방안을 모색하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 한국농어촌공사 사업의 최종 수요자인 외부 이해관계자 중에서 농업인들을 대상으로 KRC 사업 참여 실태 및 사회적 가치 인지 여부 등을 살펴보았다. 그리고 네트워크 분석을 통해 외부이해관계자들이 참여하고 있는 한국농어촌공사 사업의 주요 특징과 중요 사업을 도출하였다. 네트워크 분석을 한 결과, KRC 사업 중에서 대부분 지역에서 농어촌용수관리사업이 가장 중요한 사업으로 나타났다(농어촌용수관리사업 0.805, 농업생산기반정비사업 0.758, 농지은행사업 0.762, 지역개발사업 0.643). 반면 제주도의 경우에는 지역 특성상 농업생산기반정비사업과 지역개발사업이 중요한 사업으로 분석되었다. 이러한 분석결과, 한국농어촌공사 사업은 지역별로 각 사업간 연결 중앙성(degree centrality) 값이 다르므로, 지역 여건에 맞는 한국농어촌공사 사회적 가치 증진 노력이 필요하다. 이를 위해 "사회적 가치 플랫폼"을 구축해 대내외 모든 이해관계자들이 자유롭게 한국농어촌공사 사업에 참여하는 방안을 모색하는 것도 한 방안이 될 수 있을 것이다. 이를 통해 한국농어촌공사의 사회적 가치도 증진될 것이다.

MIM서비스에서 지각된 네트워크외부성과 경험가치가 지속적 사용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study On The Effects Network Externalities and Experiential Value Perceived from MIMService on Continuous Intention)

  • Mobile Instant Messenser (MIM) Market With the market is enlarging and attracting more and more companies. With the market expanding and number of users increasing, the competition in this area will be fierce. In order to gain competitive advantage, it is important to develop a strategy to maximize user value and to grasp the continuous usage intention of users. However, there are currently not enough researches done in this field. Therefore, this paper to study the effects of network externalities and perceived experiential value on perceived usefulness, user satisfaction, and continuous usage intention. The research results showed that the perceived experiential value and vertical compatibility significantly affected user satisfaction, but the perceived network size did not. The perceived network size and vertical compatibility did not affect the perceived usefulness. Also, the economic value, which is a sub-factor of the perceived experiential value, did not affect the perceived usefulness, but the functional value and hedonic value did significantly. The perceived network size significantly affected continuance usage intention, but the perceived network compatibility did not.
