The purpose of this paper was to discover the importance and degree of satisfaction toward medical service perceived by clients and analize some characteristics and any siginificant difference by deomographic and social variables. In addition the subjects were divided into groups(i. e. satisfied and dissatisfied groups) and tested significant difference between two groups, The results can be summerized as follows: 1,. While the importance of over attributes of medical services percevied by customs was higher the degree of satisfaction was relatively low. 2. According to our analysis the degree of satisfaction toward hospital facilities and staff appeared to have relatively have relatively heavy weights compared to total satisfaction scores. 3. As far customers' quality evaluation about medical service is concerned the importance and degree of satisfaction could not be discriminated by demographic variables except education and income level. 4. The discrepancy of satisfaction s ore between satisfied and dissatisfied group was the highest in hospital facilities compared to other three sectors.
Factors considered by mothers when choosing a kindergarten for their child were analyzed by mother's age, education level, and employment status. Questionnaires (Seo, 2002; Kim, 2001; Park, 1997) targeted 636 mothers of kindergarteners from 12 different kindergartens. Results were (1) in order of importance mothers considered : physical environment, tuition, humane environment, educational curriculum and program, and time spent for education. (2) Younger mothers considered the program of the kindergarten of more importance whereas older mothers considered the commuting method, size of kindergarten, and personality and competence of the principal and teachers of more importance. (3) College educated mothers considered curriculum and field trips to be important factors. (4) Employed mothers considered the importance of all day programs and hours of operation.

A considerable amount of research has focused on the dimensionality of service quality construct. To achieve and maintain their comprehensiveness and profitability, restaurant managers should manage and aim to continuously improve the level of service quality offered to their customers. This paper is focused on service quality in the Korean native cattle and imported beef restaurant industry in the Korea. So, this paper has adapted DINESERV scale so that restaurant managers can use it to determine how customers perceive the service quality in Korean native cattle beef restaurant and imported beef restaurant. The purpose of this research is to test the difference in importance and actual performance of 5 dimensions between the restaurants that sell the beef of Korean native cattle and imported cattle. The t-value is used to test difference of the importance and actual performance for DINESERV's 5 dimensions of the 2 restaurant types. But, there is no difference between Korean native cattle and imported beef restaurant.
The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine the level of the satisfaction and awareness of facilities in child care centers among teachers and parents. Special attention was given to both the indoor and outdoor environments from the viewpoints of both parents and teachers. The subject of this research focused on parents who leave their children at child care centers, and teachers who work for the center. The data was compiled by performing both T-tests and paired T-test. The information was processed by a program called SPSS WIN 10.0. The results were as follows ; 1. (a) With regard to the satisfaction of the external and internal facilities : It was determined that both the play rooms and the wall-pattern arrangements were satisfactory to both the parents and the teachers. (b) Regarding the awareness of the importance of facilities, while the parents focused more on the play rooms and the external environments, the teachers placed more importance on the bathrooms and the play rooms. 2. In the paired T-test that determined whether their individual opinions were different in terms of the satisfaction and awareness of facilities, it was interesting to see that both the parents and the teachers showed significant differences in their opinions and priorities about the porches, the play rooms, the bathrooms and the wall-pattern arrangements. In general, their awareness was much higher than the satisfaction with these facilities. 3. In the T-test that determined whether there were any tendencies in the satisfaction and awareness respectively in the two groups, the satisfaction rate was higher among the parents than the teachers. In terms of the awareness of the importance of the facilities, the teachers rated the bathrooms and the wall-pattern arrangements as a priority.
Purpose: To provide the data of health manager education program in order to improve the quality of work-sites health management with qualification based job analysis of health managers (Occupational Health Nursing, Industrial Hygienist, Environmental Engineer). Methods: A descriptive research on 132 health managers using IPA and SPSS/WIN. Results: The overall average of importance of health management job was 8.0 (10 being the maximum score). Nurses had significantly higher score in the level of importance per areas and health management jobs. The overall average of performance of health management job was 6.7 (10 being the maximum score). Nurses had higher score in the area of health management. IPA matrix distributions per health management job area showed the correlations in qualification backgrounds and all of 3 main areas. Conclusion: There was difference in the level of importance and performance on health management jobs based on the qualification backgrounds of health managers. To improve the health of workers, an integrated health management must be provided. And to provide this, it is necessary to offer the additional education to health managers with an institutional complementary plan.
The purpose of this study is to discovered assessment items for improving athletic efficiency and management of golf courses. Through this, the study intended to provide basic data for creating competitive golf courses and management. Important assessment items were selected by inducing preliminary assessment items and conducting a preliminary survey and a main survey for specialists through a theoretical study. For the survey results studied, reliability and average value for importance were calculated using SPSS/PC Window Release 12.0. As assessment of importance by assessment area, in athletic efficiency assessment, course management level was the highest, followed by fairness of games and operation of games. In management assessment, importance of service level, information management, facility management, management of game assistants, etc. were high. As assessment of importance by assessment item, it was found that 'variety of golf shot' and 'the length of a course' were important in course layout. Also 'start interval among teams' and 'disturbance of play' were assessed as important items in game operation, while 'fair reservation' and 'rounding rotation time' were important in fairness of games. In addition, in information management, 'kind service of golf course staffs' and 'prompt reservation and notification' were found to be important assessment items. In facility management, all assessment indexes were over 4.0, which means all of them are important for quality of golf course and competitiveness. In membership service, 'appropriate price of goods for sale' and 'service for members' were relatively important assessment items. Further, in management of game assistants, 'qualifications and skillfulness of game assistants' was assessed as a very important index. Although the current study only selected important items to assess excellent golf courses, it is necessary to apply the study results to the actual sites and verify them for golf course both at domestic and abroad.
This study was conducted to gather basic data on the tasks and roles of nutrition teachers by analyzing the changes inwork importance, performance frequency, and organizational environment after dietitians were transposed to nutrition teachers. E-mail surveys were sent to 100 newly assigned nutrition teachers who previously served as dietitians in Gyeonggi province. A total of 72 teachers responded to the survey. The respondents were asked the importance and frequency of 9 work-related duties performed as a dietitian and nutrition teacher, respectively. They were also surveyed regarding their satisfaction perceptions for 5 organizational changes. The majority of respondents were 36 to 40 years old (48.6%) and had 10$\sim$20 years of work experience (58.3%). Significant differences were found for work importance after changing to the role of nutrition teacher (p<0.001). In addition, work performance frequency differences were found for the categories of nutrition education, nutrition counseling, and dietary guidance. These results were attributable to the differences in work importance and performance frequency by now being a nutrition teacher rather than a dietitian. The respondents had increased satisfaction levels after changing from dietitian to nutrition teacher (p<0.001) in terms of 'pride for change in work', 'satisfaction level for pay', and 'satisfaction level for change in the organizational environment'. In order for nutrition teachers to have effective work performance, 'personal capabilities' and 'school manager support' should be coordinated. Overall, the results of this study suggest that effective training programs should be developed for nutrition teachers they can effectively complete newly assigned work tasks.
This study aimed to classify attendants of a wine training institute according to loyalty for wine training service program and to deduce the core managing points in a wine training program by IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis). Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 192 trainees and statistical data analysis completed using SPSS ver. 18.0. As a result of clustering analysis based on trainee loyalty from both attitude and behavioral perspectives, four classification groups were identified: a "genuine" loyalty group, a "latent" loyalty group, a "mendacious" loyalty group, and a "low" loyalty group. For the genuine loyalty group, the importance of total service quality was 4.32 on average whereas the performance was measured as 4.22; thus there was little difference between importance to quality and performance. However, for the other three groups, especially the low loyalty group, there were significant wide gaps between importance to quality and performance. According to IPA, different service quality items were posted on the 'Focus here' quadrant (a domain with high service quality importance but low performance) by group, while the other three quadrants had several common items regardless of the group. Finally, the core quality managing points were different depending on the level of trainee loyalty. Therefore, it is necessary to plan and conduct a wine training program that reflects the characteristics and needs of its students, which will lead to a differentiated management strategy according to the level of loyalty.
This study identified the core competencies of aircraft maintenance quality engineers and compared the importance and retention of core competencies. Through literature research, 21 core competencies were derived in three areas of management technology, elemenal technology and collaboration technology, and a survey was conducted on the importance and retention of core competencies for 42 aircraft maintenance quality engineers. As a result of the survey, the importance of all core competencies of aircraft maintenance quality engineers is 3.95/5 on average, and the retention of all core competencies is 3.99/5 on average. 'Risk Management', 'Creating Document', 'Honesty/Moral' were identified as the most important competencies in each area, and 'Quality Management', 'Language', 'Honesty/Moral' were identified as the most possessed competencies in each area. An IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) was performed to analyze the details. Through IPA, 'Risk Management' and 'Safety Management' were evaluated as having a low degree of retention compared to a high level of importance. Therefore, they were identified as a core competencies that need to be improved first. In addition, the characteristics of each core competency and the recognition level in the field were also identified. This study will be helpful in defining the roles and functions of aircraft maintenance quality engineers to improve flight quality and prevent aviation accidents.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to identify the factors of shocking events in the career aspect experienced by Korean workers in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, and to find out whether these career shocks affect individual perceptions of the importance of subjective career success. Design/methodology/approach - In the survey of 146 respondents, the career shock events experienced in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic were largely divided into three categories; 'work change', 'employment anxiety', and 'life anxiety'. For the subjective career success, seven dimensions - 'financial security', 'financial achievement', 'entrepreneurship', 'positive relationship', 'positive impact', 'learning and development', 'work-life balance' - were used. Findings - As a result, there was no difference in the perception of subjective career success due to the experience of 'work change' during the Covid-19 period. However, the respondents who experienced 'employment anxiety' came to recognize that 'financial security' and 'financial achievement' were more increasing in terms of the degree of difference of importance. And respondents who experienced 'lifetime anxiety' perceived that the degree of difference of importance was increasing in the six dimensions except for 'social influence'. Particularly, the increase in the importance of 'work-life balance' and 'positive relationship' was found to be the greatest among the career success dimensions. Research implications or Originality - Finally, it was concluded that changes in the external environment such as Covid-19 pandemic influence as a career shock and affect the level of importance in subjective career success perception. Based on the results, the theoretical implication on current career study and some practical implications for organizational career management were suggested.
