  • Knowledge management is a current management concept dealing with information gathering and implementation processes for the organizational performance advantage. The study investigates knowledge management in two perspectives: internally, Organizational information processing structure and externally, strategic issue management system. The study proposes the existence of filtering processes in the organizations. Based on this argument, the authors propose that organizations need to employ strategic issue management system for the successful implementation of knowledge management.

Does Village Fund Transfer Address the Issue of Inequality and Poverty? A Lesson from Indonesia

  • This study investigates the impact of fiscal transfer, specifically the Village Fund Transfer, on rural income inequality and rural poverty. Studies on fiscal transfer offers contrasting outcomes, some argues that fiscal transfer suppresses wealth disparity, while others argue that it tends to widen disparity. This study employs descriptive analysis in estimating the elasticity of income inequality and poverty rate before and after the Village Fund Transfer. It develops multiple regressions model on panel datasets of 33 provinces in Indonesia before and after the implementation of Village Fund Transfer. This study suggests that the elasticity of income inequality is higher after the implementation of village fund transfer. Rural poverty tends to decline annually, however, the elasticity changes is lower after the implementation of village fund transfer. Furthermore, this study suggests that village fund transfer is insignificant in coping with the issue of income inequality, while education and the level of labor productivity of agricultural sector appears to be the determinant factor in tackling the issue of income inequality in the rural areas. This study further reveals the significance of village fund transfer in suppressing the rural poverty rate. This study also highlights the significance of human resources quality and agricultural sector in reducing poverty rate in rural areas.

  • SMT(Simultaneous Multi Threading)구조는 여러 개의 독립적인 쓰레드들로부터의 명령어들을 이용하여, 이슈 슬롯을 채울 수 있도록 하는 쓰레드 레벨 병렬 성을 사용함으로서, 결국 프로세서의 성능을 향상시킨다. 독립적인 여러 개의 준비된 쓰레드들을 갖는다는 것은 실행 유닛들이 무용의 상태로 남아 있는 가능성을 줄일 수 있다는 의미이며, 이러한 사항은 결국 프로세서의 효율성을 증가 시키게 된다. SMT 프로세서에서 그러한 이점을 이용하기 위해서는, 이슈 유닛은 서로 다른 쓰레드들로부터의 여러 명령어들 간의 흐름을 제어해서, 그러한 명령어들 사이에서 충돌이 일어나지 않도록 해야 하지만, 이러한 사실로 인해 SMT 프로세서의 이슈 로직은 매우 복잡해지게 된다. 따라서, 본 논문에서 제안된 SMT 구조는 순차적 이슈와 완료 방식을 채택하여, 복잡한 레지스터 리네이밍이나 재순차 버퍼 등을 사용할 필요가 없이 비교적 간단한 스코어보드 어레이만을 사용하는 이슈 구조를 사용할 수 있게 하였다, 그러나, 여전히 SMT용 스코어보드 구조는 일반적인 단일 쓰레드의 범용 프로세서의 경우보다는 훨씬 더 복잡하고 많은 비용이 소요된다. 본 논문은 ARM 기본의 순차적 SMT 아키텍처 상에서의 최적의 스코어보드메커니즘에 대한 구현을 제안한다.

AN EFFICIENT IMPLEMENTATION OF BDM MIXED METHODS FOR SECOND ORDER ELLIPTIC PROBLEMS

  • BDM mixed methods are obtained for a good approximation of velocity for flow equations. In this paper, we study an implementation issue of solving the algebraic system arising from the BDM mixed finite elements. First we discuss post-processing based on the use of Lagrange multipliers to enforce interelement continuity. Furthermore, we establish an equivalence between given mixed methods and projection finite element methods developed by Chen. Finally, we present the implementation of the first order BDM on rectangular grids and show it is as simple as solving the pressure equation.

소프트웨어 기업의 기술혁신 활동과 혁신 성과에 관한 연구 (Technology Innovation Activity and Innovation Performance in the Software Firms)

  • In this paper, the technology innovation for software firms are discussed. Through the literature study, the concepts about this issue and the environment and activity of software firm's the technology innovation related are described. The survey paper was developed for searching the obstacles, policy considerations, and performance of this issue etc. Also questionnaire sheet was made for identifying the relations on technology innovation activities and performance. The degree of understanding about the need of technology innovation were very high according to the analysis result from the response based on the 103 software firms. Among this survey the other results are described as follows; the motivation of technology innovation, the necessity and implementation, the duration acquired for innovation result, the favorite support program as for innovation policy, obstacles for innovation implementation, the reason for innovation collaboration etc. Finally, it is verified statistically that the performance of technology innovation be affected by the employment of external professional technician, research and development, the technical education.

SCM 패키지 도입에 따른 기업의 성과측정 (Performance Measurement According to the Implementation of SCM Package)

  • Industrial society has changed to information society in these day. Even through the core issue of information society is the creation of competency and profit of corporations, the implementation of SCM packages is not popular. The reason why companies hesitate to introduce SCM packages is that the performance enhancement by the implementation of SCM is not clear. This paper addresses the effect of financial performance according to IT the implementation of SCM packages. Eight financial performance measures were selected based on the literature review. Financial data on the fifteen companies that implemented SCM packages before December, 2003 were collected considering the differences on performance measures between before and after the SCM implementation.

The knowledge management system deals with information gathering, process, and implementation for the organizational performance advantage. The study integrates knowledge management in view of an internal organizational information processing structure and external strategic issue management system. This means that the coordination between internal systematic process and external scanning mechanism is essential for organizational success.

  • The issue of method of software testing process implementation has recently been in the spotlight in korea and some vendor make every effort to improve the software testing process through the evaluation of TMMi. The level of software process is at initial level, nevertheless, so the high quality of software is not guaranteed. This paper apply to the TMMi Level2 Assessment criteria of Automobile control software testing process. The test policy and strategy, test planning, test monitoring and control, test design and execution, test environment goal. The result need to emerge development process connection on the test policy and strategy process, test planning process etc. Also, the study analyzed the infra structure to reach the repeated level via key process area. As the result the process implementation in organization suggests the policy development and the implementation activity. Finally, the practical can refer to this paper in order to implementation the software testing process.
