불투수성 경사면에서 파의 처오름과 반사 (Runup and Reflection of Waves on Impermeable Slopes of Coastal Structures)

  • A numerical model is represented to calculate the reflected waves, the runup of waves and the wave induced velocities on impermeable slopes for the normally incident wave trains of nonlinear monochromatic wave and solitary wave. The finite amplitude shallow water equations with the effects of bottom friction are solved numerically in time domain using an explicit dissipative Lax-Wendroff finite difference method. The numerical model is verified by comparisons with the other numerical results, the measured data and asymptotic results. It is found that the uprushing and downrushing of incident waves may be accurately predicted by the present numerical model. Therefore, the present numerical model can be applicable to swells as well as long waves.

국가지하수 관측망의 양수시험 자료 해석을 통한 대수층 특성 분석

  • For tile hydrogeological data of the National Groundwater Monitoring Wells(NGMW), a statistical analysis is made to reveal aquifer characteristics of the country. Results of the pumping and recovery test are classified into 4~5 types by the pattern of drawdown and residual drawdown curves. The analysis of aquifer characteristics shows that the hydraulic conductivity of alluvial aquifers is greater than that of fractured-rock aquifers. The hydraulic conductivity of alluvial aquifers slightly increases as the distance to the discharge area decreases. 77.5% of the NGMWs, where the distance to the discharge area is more than 100m, shows the constant head boundary. This result suggests that the fractured and the alluvial aquifers are fairly interconnected, and water can be supplied from one aquifer to tile other where pumping tests are performed. It is analyzed that the wells showing the impermeable boundary are influenced by small scale of aquifers, poor aquifer transmissivities, and impermeable layers.

Dynamic analysis of a magneto-electro-elastic material with a semi-infinite mode-III crack under point impact loads

  • The problem of a semi-infinite magneto-electro-elastically impermeable mode-III crack in a magneto-electro-elastic material is considered under the action of impact loads. For the case when a pair of concentrated anti-plane shear impacts, electric displacement and magnetic induction impacts are exerted symmetrically on the upper and lower surfaces of the crack, the magneto-electro-elastic field ahead of the crack tip is determined in explicit form. The dynamic intensity factors and dynamic energy density factor are obtained. The method adopted is to reduce the mixed initial-boundary value problem, by using the Laplace and Fourier transforms, into three simultaneous dual integral equations, one of which is converted into an Abel's integral equation and the others into a singular integral equation with Cauchy kernel. Based on the obtained fundamental solutions of point impact loads, the solutions of two kinds of different loading cases are evaluated by integration. For some particular cases, the present results reduce to the previous results.

NaOH 자극에 의한 고노수쇄 슬래그의 수화반응 (Hydration of Granulated Blast Furnace Slag in the Presence of NaOH)

  • The experiments of suspension hydration were performed in the mixtures of slag and water or NaOH solutions which were made up with a liquid/solid ratio of 10. The liquid phase of the suspension was chemically analysed and discussed. When slag was in contact with water, CaO component was released from slag grains into the solution. The amounts of $SiO_2$ and $Al_2O_3$ liberated in the solution were very low as compared with CaO, for the impermeable coating of $SiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$-rich gel was formed on the surface of slag grains. The hydration was considered to be inhibited by this impermeable coating. The weak hydraulic property of slag was based on slowly released CaO and dissolved Na, K components which increased pH in the solution.

  • In this paper, we examine the dynamic electromechanical behavior of an edge crack in a piezoelectric ceramic layer bonded between two elastic layers under the combined anti-plane mechanical shear and in-plane electric transient loadings. We adopted both the permeable and impermeable crack boundary conditions. Fourier transforms are used to reduce the problem to the solution of two pairs of dual integral equations, which are then expressed to a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. Numerical values on the dynamic energy release rate are presented to show the dependences upon the geometry, material combination, electromechanical coupling coefficient and electric field.

반응성 배수파일이 타설된 지반의 압밀거동 분석 (Analysis on Consolidation Behavior of Soft Ground with Reactive Drain Pile)

  • 본 연구에서는 연약지반의 지반개량과 오염물질정화를 동시에 수행 가능한 반응성 배수파일의 적용에 대한 지반공학적 특성을 평가하였다. 반응성 배수파일의 내부 반응물질로 사용되는 제강슬래그의 적용성을 확인하였으며, 내부 반응물질을 둘러싸고 있는 원통형 차단막 길이와 차단막 외부의 외부 배수층 설치에 따른 압밀거동을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 반응성 배수파일이 타설된 지반을 모사할 수 있는 실험장비를 개발하였으며, 외부 배수층 유 무 및 차단막 길이를 변화시켜가며, 실내모형실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과, 차단막의 길이가 짧아질수록 압밀소요시간은 감소하는 것으로 나타났지만, 차단막 길이변화에 따른 압밀소요시간차이에 비해 외부 배수층 유 무에 따른 압밀소요시간의 차이가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다.

  • 잠제 주변의 유속장과 와의 발생에 대한 이해는 잠제의 소파메커니즘과 표사 및 구조물의 안정과 관련하여 중요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 일정한 경사수역에 설치된 불투과잠제 주변의 유속장의 해석과 와(vortex)서 발생을 수치적으로 모의하기 위해 자유수면의 추적기법인 VOF법에 기초하고 있는 김 등(2001, 2002)이 제안한 2차원 수치파동수로를 이용하였다. 특히, 잠제 주변의 정상류의 해석을 통해 잠제의 기하형상 및 파랑의 입사조건에 따른 와의 발생형태를 고찰하였다. 수치모의 결과 잠제 전면에서는 반시계 방향의 와가 발생하였고 잠제 후면에서는 시계방향의 와가 발생하였으며 와의 크기는 입사파고와 주기에 가장 민감하였다.

기반암에서 그라우팅에 의한 차수효과 (The Impermeable Effect for Bedrock Constructed by Grouting)

  • 본 연구는 댐 4개소의 기초지반에 실시된 암반 그라우팅에 대한 현장 시험결과를 통하여 RQD, 단위시멘트주입량, Lugeon값(Lu) 및 최대주입압력과의 상관관계를 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구현장에 대하여 댐 기초지반에서 암반 그라우팅을 실시한 후 차수성에 관한 개량효과 분석결과 변성암지역이 퇴적암지역 보다 우수한 것으로 조사되었다. 그리고 압밀(Consolidation) 그라우팅의 차수효과가 차수(Curtain) 그라우팅 보다 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 단위시멘트주입량은 RQD가 클수록 증가하는 경향을 보이나, Lugeon값은 RQD와 무관한 관계를 나타내고 있다. Lugeon값과 단위시멘트주입량(Vc)의 관계는 서로 비례하고 비교적 투수성이 큰 퇴적암 지역에서의 상관관계가 Lu = 0.22Vc인 직접적인 비례관계를 보였다. 기 시공된 인접공의 영향은 차수 그라우팅 보다 압밀 그라우팅이 큰 것으로 조사되었다. 그리고 주입순서에 따른 단위시멘트주입량과 Lugeon값의 변화는 거의 동일한 거동을 나타내고 있다.

Implication of Soil Minerals on Formation of Impermeable Layers in Saprolite Surface-Piled Upland Fields at Highland

  • Farmers in highlands in South Korea pile up 20 to 30 cm of saprolites, mostly granite- or granite-gneiss-weathered materials, on surface of arable lands every three to five years to compensate eroded soil and sometimes to discontinue soil-borne diseases. Immediate increases of infiltration and percolation rates are expected with coarse textured saprolites while soil drainage becomes poorer in a long-term. In this study, we analyzed mineralogical characteristics and micro-morphology of plow pan to investigate processes making impermeable layers. Soil samples were collected from plow pan, usually located at approximately 20 cm soil depth and at the lower part of piled saprolites, in arable lands in Hoenggye 5-ri, Daekwanryeong-myeon, Gangwon-do (N37.7, E128.7) in which saprolites were added 2, 4, and 8 years ago; saprolites were transported from similar areas. The saturated hydraulic conductivity decreased over time. Based on soil thin section pedography, quartz and feldspar accounted for a majority of minerals. The size of feldspar decreased and macropores became filled with clay or silt particles over time, which implies that macropores were packed with particles weathered from feldspar. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis indicated that intensity of feldspar decreased over time and the reverse was true for kaolinite and illite, indicating that feldspar and mica weathering induced formation of kaolinite and illite. Conclusively, deteriorated drainage by formation of impermeable layers in farms with piled saprolites was caused by accumulation of clay minerals such as kaolinite and illite in macropores; illite and kaolinite can be formed by weathering of mica and feldspar, respectively.
