This study comprehensively analyzed domestic and foreign literature related to the value and impact of libraries on education, social behavior and economic conditions, developed a survey to investigate the librarians' perception of the libraries' value and impact, and accordingly investigated the perception of librarians according to the types of libraries in which they worked, public versus university. The results showed that the impact is greatest on education and literacy with a mean score of 3.98, followed by their social impact with 3.67 and their economic impact with 3.46. When subordinate items were analyzed it was found that the librarians perceived that the role that libraries are playing in the education area is expanding and their impact on reading and literacy is becoming greater and greater. Libraries were viewed as essential elements for education and the education system. When the difference in perception related to the impact of libraries was compared by types of libraries, the librarians in public libraries tended to rate their facilities higher than the librarians working in universities on most of the items.

It has been pointed out that the process of environmental impact assessment in Korea has been less of equity and balance between stakeholders, and less of objective validity in writing impact statement and in holding consultations. Thus this study has intended to find improvement measures regarding the processes of EIS documentation and holding consultations between stakeholders during environmental impact assessment process. To achieve this goal this study carried out expert survey method to analyze validity and suitability of suggested measures in accordance with the problems found through reviewing related literatures. This study has found major improvement measures including transferring the responsibility to write impact statement and to hold consultations from project promoters to the third party (impact assessment committee) composed of related stakeholders without project promoters. The developers need to pay for all expenses to proceed impact assessment.

In this paper, a study on low-velocity impact response of honeycomb sandwich panels was done for the changes of impact location and core fabrication angles. The test specimens were made of glass/epoxy laminate facesheet and aluminum honeycomb core. Square samples of 100mm and 100mm sides were subjected under low-velocity impact loading using instrumented testing machine at three energy levels. Impact parameters like maximum force, time to maximum force, deflection at maximum force and absorbed energy were evaluated and compared for the changes of impact location and core fabrication angle. The impact damage size were measured at facesheet surface by 3-Dimensional scanner. Also, sandwich specimens after impact test were cut to analyse the failure mode.

Procedures to establish well-balanced development and effectiveness of environmental impact assessment need include various stakeholder's participation in writing and reviewing document of environmental impact assessment, collecting public opinion, and post monitoring. Accordingly, to encourage effective and efficient collection of resident's opinion analyze present conditions and problems and suggest institutional and politic alternative proposals of it. This study resulted in following conclusions. In institutional aspects, (1) Proposal for drafting document of environmental impact assessment (2) Composition of committee for collecting and regulating stakeholder's opinion (3) Width of civil participation scale. In politic aspects, (1) Use of local community (2) Guide of local information from local society and environmental specialist (3) Understandable document and data of environmental impact assessment (4) Strength of roles and duties of local government.

In this study, evaluation was carried out for reduction method of floor impact noise through field test and the effective methods for heavy impact noise were proposed. As a field test, impact noise reduction materials such as EPP, EEPS, EVA, PE and so on, did not satisfied the recommandation value at the condition of 150mm thickness concrete slab. The evaluation results for those materials by 'inverse A curve' showed $53\sim55dB$ at heavy impact noise and $53\sim58dB$ at light impact noise. But, two methods proposed by authors were evaluated $47\sim50dB$ at heavy Impact noise and $54\sim58dB$ at light Impact noise on the similar concrete slab thickness.

The COVID-19 global health crisis has affected the mental and psychological health and well-being of the people around the world. However, little is known about the impact of COVID-19 among Filipino teachers. This study was conducted to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of life (QoL) of professional teachers in the Philippines. A descriptive cross-sectional study was used involving 139 licensed professional teachers. The COVID-19 Impact on Quality of Life (COV19-QoL) was the primary measure used in this study. Descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA were the statistical tools employed to analyze the data. Results indicated a moderate COVID-19 impact on the QoL of the teachers. There was a significant difference in the impact of COVID-19 on QoL by degree program. However, the impact of COVID-19 on QoL did not significantly differ by age, sex, marital status, employment status, monthly salary, presence of a COVID-19 case near their residence, personal knowledge of someone who was infected or died of COVID-19, presence of a medical condition, and perceived threat. The psychological well-being and QoL of teachers must be recognized and teachers must be provided with support as they continue to adapt to the impact brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study contributes to the growing literature on the impact of the pandemic.

In case of executing surveys in marine ecosystems, the most important things are scientific selection measures of survey stations that can represent various ecosystems characteristics in subjected areas. The situations show a lot of differences that understand characteristics of marine ecosystems in targeted areas according to selection methods and positions in survey stations. Investigation ranges and station numbers in marine ecosystems are classified according to project characteristics and scales. But, currently a clear divisions or objective standards are not. Therefore, this study tried to provide selection measures of survey station in scientific and objective marine ecosystems through precise analysis among environmental impact statements of coastal development projects until now. In this study, impact scopes of marine ecosystems correspond to physical impact predictions by undertaking projects. Impact ranges were divided into three(physical impact ranges) coastal waters. In case of proposing numbers of survey stations according to this survey ranges, numbers of investigation stations due to minimum survey scopes in targeted projects applied 20~30% of all numbers in survey stations. Number of survey stations due to average investigation scopes within physical impact ranges applied 60~70% of all numbers in investigation stations. Numbers of survey stations due to maximum survey ranges within physical impact scopes applied 10~20% of all numbers in survey stations. So, improvement measures were deducted. Finally, according to prediction ranges in impact of various coastal development projects, several kinds of conclusions are suggested. And, it is thought to be able to use as fundamental database to select investigation stations in marine organisms through this study.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in Korea has worked toward environmental conservation and decision making since the Environmental Impact Statement of 1981. In order to implement the EIA process effectively, we have developed a system for and various methods of EIA. Among these methods, the Environmental Information System, which was introduced recently in Korea, can be used to integrate geographic and attribute data effectively. This study includes methods by which we may use the Environmental Information System. First of all, it explains building EIA factors on the natural environment, the living environment, and the socio-economic environment defined by Environmental Impact Statement regulations in Korea. This study also presents some applications of the assessment methods concerning suitability analysis of landfill sites. Finally, it shows the effectiveness of the Environmental Information System in odor impact assessment. Based on these analysis, the study makes some conclusions for the applications of the Environmental Information System.

The neck injury occupies the most of injury that happened by the rear impact car accident. This study was analyzed about influence of the neck injury in low speed rear impact and car crash accident investigation. There is no neck injury in low speed side rear impact. On the other hand, there is initial neck injury symptom of 10 % but no long-term neck injury symptom in low speed offset rear impact. It appeared that the possibility of neck injury in low speed rear impact is low. For the more study about the neck injury, it should be evaluate the effects of the car body structure, frame structure and rear crash pattern.

This study aims to evaluate factors of floor structure influencing to the floor impact sound. For this reasons, we measured the vibration of floor and the floor impact sound in moment flame structure. The main results from this study are that slab area and thickness are critical factors of the floor impact sound and aspect ratio slab is not verified in flor impact sound.
