인코더를 이용한 2축 각도 기반 보행 불균형 평가 시스템 연구 (A Study on Gait Imbalance Evaluation System based on Two-axis Angle using Encoder)

  • In this study, the gait imbalance evaluation algorithm based on two axes angle using encoder is proposed. This experiment was carried out to experiment with a healthy adult male to 10 people. The device is attached to the hip and knee joint in order to measure the angle during the gait. Normal and imbalance gait angle data were measured using an encoder attached to the hip and knee joints. Also, in order to verify the reliability of estimation of asymmetrical gait using hip and knee angle, it was compared with the result of asymmetrical gait estimation using foot pressure. SI (Symmetry Index) was used as an index for determining the gait imbalance. As a result, normal gait and 1.5cm imbalance gait were evaluation as normal gait through SI using an encoder. And imbalance gait of 3cm, 4cm, and 6cm were judge by imbalance gait. Whereas all gait experiments except normal gait were evaluation as imbalance gait through SI using the pressure. It was possible to determine both the normal gait and imbalance gait through measurement for the angle and the pressure.

  • In this paper, the gait imbalance evaluation algorithm based on temporal symmetry ratio using encoder is proposed. The device is attached to the hip joint in order to measure the angle during the normal gait. Using an angle data, the stance phase and swing phase was determined. And the value of TSR(temporal symmetry ratio) was calculated by stance phase and swing phase of gait cycle. For the comparative experiment, the conventional method of the foot pressure was measured at the same conditions. The results of statistical analysis, there was a significant difference (p < 0.05) when using encoder. The gait imbalance analysis using encoder is effective in determining the imbalance than using the existing method of pressure.

  • 본 연구에서는 보행 시 발생되는 근전도를 이용하여 보행 시 보행불균형 상태를 판단하고자 한다. 보행불균형 상태 판단시스템의 실효성 확인을 위해 인코더와 가속도, 근전도 센서 기반의 보행 불균형 판단 시스템을 제안한다. 건강한 성인 남성 10 명을 대상으로 실험을 진행하였다. 보행 신호를 획득하기 위해 고관절과 슬관절에 인코더 센서를 부착하고, 발목에 가속도 센서, 외측광근과 전경골근에 근전도 센서를 부착하였다. 보행 불균형을 판단하기위해 SI(Symmetry Index)를 사용하였다. 정상보행과 불균형보행을 측정하기 위해 한쪽 발에 인위적으로 1.5 cm의 굽을 추가해가며 0 cm부터 6 cm까지 5번의 실험을 반복하였다. 인코더와 근전도의 경우 0 cm의 정상보행과 1.5 cm의 불균형보행을 정상보행으로 판단하였고 3 cm와 4.5 cm, 6 cm의 불균형보행은 불균형보행으로 판단하였다. 가속도의 경우 0 cm와 1.5 cm, 3 cm의 불균형보행을 정상보행으로 판단하였고 4.5 cm와 6 cm의 불균형보행을 불균형보행으로 판단하였다.

대퇴부 위치 기반 효과적인 보행 불균형 측정 방법 (Effective Gait Imbalance Judgment Method based on Thigh Location)

  • In this paper, the angle of the thighs that appear during walking condition to balance estimation to the left and right leg was occurred during normal walking. Get over to the limitations of gait analysis using image processing or foot pressure that was used a lot in the previous, the angle of the thigh were used for estimation of asymmetric gait. We implemented heathy five adult male to test targeting and gait and obtained cycle data from 10 times. For this research, Thigh-Angle measurement device were developed, and attached to in a position of $20^{\circ}$ for flexion and $15^{\circ}$ for extension to measure the angle of the thigh. Also, in order to verify the reliability of estimation of asymmetric gait using thigh-angle, it was compared with the result of asymmetric gait estimation using foot pressure. The results of this paper, using the thigh angle is the average of 16.84% higher than using pressure to accuracy of determine the gait imbalance.

뇌성마비 환자의 자세 불균형 탐지를 위한 스마트폰 동영상 기반 보행 분석 시스템 (Smartphone-based Gait Analysis System for the Detection of Postural Imbalance in Patients with Cerebral Palsy)

  • Gait analysis is an important tool in the clinical management of cerebral palsy, allowing for the assessment of condition severity, identification of potential gait abnormalities, planning and evaluation of interventions, and providing a baseline for future comparisons. However, traditional methods of gait analysis are costly and time-consuming, leading to a need for a more convenient and continuous method. This paper proposes a method for analyzing the posture of cerebral palsy patients using only smartphone videos and deep learning models, including a ResNet-based image tilt correction, AlphaPose for human pose estimation, and SmoothNet for temporal smoothing. The indicators employed in medical practice, such as the imbalance angles of shoulder and pelvis and the joint angles of spine-thighs, knees and ankles, were precisely examined. The proposed system surpassed pose estimation alone, reducing the mean absolute error for imbalance angles in frontal videos from 4.196° to 2.971° and for joint angles in sagittal videos from 5.889° to 5.442°.

협응이동훈련이 아동의 자세 불균형과 보행에 미치는 영향 : 단일사례설계 (Effect of Coordinative Locomotor Training on Postural Imbalance and Gait in Children : A Single Subject Design)

  • PURPOSE: This study was examined the effects of coordinative locomotor training (CLT) on the postural imbalance and gait in children. METHODS: Four children were sampled as subjects. A single subject study (A-B-A') was conducted by measuring the following: baseline five sessions;, intervention phase, 15 sessions;, and postline (A') five sessions. The research period was eight weeks. The CLT program consisted of warming-up exercise, main exercise, and finishing exercise, and it was performed for one hour per day. A oneleg standing test (OLST) was performed determine the static balance. A functional reach test (FRT) was performed determine the reactionary balance. To determine the dynamic balance, the time up and go test (TUG) was performed. A 10m walking test (10 MWT) was performed to determine the walking ability. A statistical test was performed through descriptive statistics to present the average and standard deviation, and the variation rate was compared using a visual analysis method with graphs. RESULTS: As a result of CLT application, all four subjects improved the OLST, FRT, TUG, and 10 MWT compared to the intervention period baseline, and postline period. CONCLUSION: CLT appeared to improve the posture imbalance and gait in children.

3축 가속도 센서를 이용한 보행 불균형 평가 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Gait Imbalance Estimation System using 3-axis Accelerometer)

  • 본 논문에서는 3축 가속도 센서를 이용하여 보행 불균형을 진단하는 효율적 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 하드웨어 시스템은 주로 보행시 발목 세 방향의 가속도를 무선으로 측정할 수 있는 3축 가속도 센서와 데이터 전송을 위한 임베디드 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 획득된 데이터를 정규화 처리한 후, ROCC (ratio of correlation coefficient)를 이용하여 정상적인 보행의 대칭성과 비정상적인 보행의 대칭성을 비교 분석하였다. 건강한 성인 10명을 대상으로 실험을 실시하였고 개인당 총 5회 반복 실험을 하였다. 비정상 보행을 만들기 위해 한쪽 발의 굽의 높이를 변화시켰다. 결과를 보면 보행 불균형이 커질수록 ROCC의 값이 점차 기준에서 멀어지는 것을 알 수 있었으며 제안된 시스템이 보행 불균형 평가에 사용가능한 것이 확인되었다.

  • Introduction: Vertigo is one of the common symptoms that we can see often clinically. It is hallucination to motion of oneself or surroundings. Vertigo include not only simple whirling sensation but also leaning or falling down sensation. Particularly in vestibular neuritis, the principal symptoms is dizziness and accompanied by nystagmus, gait imbalance, nausea, vomiting. Cause of vestibular neuritis is inflammatory disease such as common cold. Objective: The aim of this study was to estimate the efficacy of oriental-treatment on vestibular neuritis patient Subjects: We diagnosed one patient who had severe vertigo and gait imbalance as "dizziness retention of phlegm"(담훈) and treat orientally. Conclusion: After oriental-treatment for 15 days, walk balance was improved and no more vertigo was appeared. We could assume that in the vertigo and gait inbalance due to vestibular neuritis, the acupuncture and herbal medicine can be used.

청각 피드백이 적용된 좌우 불균형 개선을 위한 밸런스 인솔 개발 및 검증 (The Development and Verification of Balance Insole for Improving the Muscle Imbalance of Left and Right Leg Using based Sound Feedback)

  • 본 연구에서는 하지의 좌우 불균형 검출을 위한 밸런스 측정 인솔을 개발하고 불균형을 개선하기 위한 청각 피드백 기술에 대한 검증을 하고자 하였다. 밸런스 인솔은 실시간 압력 감지 범위가 64 단계이며 발바닥 압력분포를 고려해 8개 부위에 FSR 센서를 탑재한 FPCB로 구성되었다. 피험자는 하지의 좌우 근력차이가 20% 이상 차이가 나는 피험자 20명을 선출하였다. 피험자들은 경사 0, 5, 10%와 속도 3, 4, 5km/h 로 15분 간 트레드밀 위에서 보행을 하였다. 또한 보행 시 나타나는 좌우 불균형을 평가 및 청각 피드백에 따른 개선효과를 검증하기 위해 측정된 족압 센서 데이터와 실시간 근육생리신호 데이터를 비교분석하였다. 실험 결과, 보행경사와 속도가 증가할수록 하지 좌우의 근력 불균형을 보유한 피험자들은 75.7%~140.9%까지 증가하는 반면 청각 피드백을 제공 시 10% 이내로 감소하는 결과를 보였다. 본 연구에서 개발 인솔 시스템을 이용한 보행환경에 따른 인체 좌우 불균형 발생시 FSR 신호 감도 결과와 인체생리신호 간 유효한 결과를 보였다. 향후 밸런스 피드백 보행 시 하지 좌우 불균형 개선 효과 경향을 보여 향후 족부 영역별 FSR 센서 민감도, 불균형 검출 및 개선을 위한 역치점 처리 알고리즘 개발에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다.

성인 척추질환자의 발균형 및 보행형태에 대한 운동역학적 분석 (Kinetic Analysis of Foot Balance and Gait Patterns in Patients with Adult Spinal Disease)

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to provide kinematic data on the characteristics of spinal disease patients by comparing and analyzing kinematic variables related to foot balance and gait pattern of spinal disease. Method: The subjects of the study included 40 adult men and 60 adult women who visited the hospital in Busan. Patients who were diagnosed with spinal disease by a physician through X-ray examination were selected as subjects for the diagnosis of vertebral disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spinal disease diagnosed with spinal disease and the general public. Left and right foot pressure and contact area were checked by Gaitview pro meter. X-ray photographs were taken with a Zen-2090 mobile fluoroscopy under physicians' direct participation. One-way ANOVA was performed to compare the differences between the kinematic variables and post-hoc was performed by the Duncan method. Results: The difference in contact area between the left foot and the right foot was $115.30{\pm}14.15cm^2$ in the left side and $124.25{\pm}13.65cm^2$ in the left side in the spinal disease patients. The difference in pressure between the left and right side of the spinal disease patients was wider than that of the general people. Especially, the right side of the spinal disease patients showed a larger area of left foot contact than the general population. Conclusion: Spinal disease patients have wider contact area of the left foot than those of the general population. In the case of right spinal disease, the left foot support area is widened due to pain. In the gait, women showed slightly more posterior body center than men, and the upper body muscle imbalance and immobilization due to the spinal disease caused imbalance of the muscles moving to the lower limb, It was analyzed to inhibit movement.
