Influence of Carbon Black Contents and Rubber Compositions on Formation of Wear Debris of Rubber Vulcanizates

  • Wear particles of the model tread compounds for bus and truck tires were made using a laboratory abrasion tester and characterized based on their size distributions, shapes, and crosslink densities. The influence of the carbon black contents and rubber compositions (NR= 100 and NR/BR= 80/20) on the production of wear particles was investigated. The wear particles were separated according to size using a sieve shaker. The shape properties of the wear particles were analyzed using an image analyzer and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Their shapes were observed as tiny stick cookies or sausages with bumpy surfaces. The particle size distribution tended to be smaller with increasing carbon black content. Moreover, the particle size distributions of the NR = 100 samples were larger than that of the NR/BR blend samples. There were different filaments in the wear particles. The filament diameters tended to be thinner with increasing carbon black content. The crosslink density increased with increasing carbon black content, and the crosslink densities of the NR= 100 samples were lower than those of the NR/BR blend ones. The particle size distribution tended to be smaller with increasing crosslink density. Based on the experimental results, the wear particles can be produced by detaching debris from the main body through repetitive strain and recovery.

  • A recent concern about Goguryeo era reflects the efforts to find out our spiritual roots, which have descended from the ancient times; Goguryeo clothing study leads to analysis of our national spirit in terms of form. This study aims to analyze formal property and intrinsic meaning of Goguryeo clothing for Korean ramie clothing design and draw traditional images to derive design elements applicable to ramie clothing. On the basis of technical books, newspaper article, internet and precedent studies, theoretical study on Goguryeo clothing and ramie property was followed up with positive study to analyze the clothing on the Goguryeo ancient tomb mural. The results are as follows: First, a progressive spirit is to progress and develop anything actively; This spirit represents Goguryeo people's ambition and racial characteristic as horse-riding people; The rigidity of ramie fabric is suitable for expressing straight silhouettes and detail in Goguryeo dress. Second, a fluidity means flowing property in opposition to fixation; in the case of clothing, it has a tendency to change form according to body motions; The extensibility and crease-resistance of ramie fabric is suitable to express pleated skirts and holds high design value for modern people who tend to regard clothing as important individuality expression. Third, a universal property to introduce and receive; as Goguryeo was a prosperous country established by conquering an open plain, the period formed a society that recognized diversity by introducing foreign cultures freely; a universality suggests the direction of modernization of traditional ramie clothing and stimulates us to discovert new design through compromise between various cultures rather than to stick to traditional style. Considering the fact that precedent studies on traditional clothing are concentrated upon the Joseon period and also limited to formal analysis, this study aims to derive design elements for actual clothing making. These results are expected to be used as basic material for study as well as reference for designers who wish to design modern Korean clothing.

십성당(十省堂) 엄흔(嚴昕)의 시세계(詩世界) (A study about Eom Heun's poetry)

  • 본고는 십성당 엄흔의 시세계를 살펴보는 데 목적을 두었다. 본고가 특히 주목한 점은 엄흔의 현실인식과 이를 바탕으로 지향한 삶의 태도이다. 엄흔은 당대의 현실을 부정(不正)한 것으로 인식하였다. 이는 훈구파에 의해 독점되는 세계로서 시비곡직(是非曲直)을 가리느라 시끄러운 세상, 풍랑 이는 바다, '풍상(風霜)'과 '루의(?蟻)' '구탁조(求啄鳥)' 등에 의해 오동나무가 말라 죽은 태평스럽지 못한 세상이었다. 엄흔은 이러한 부정(不正)의 현실 속에서 고사(高士)와 같이 명철보신하는 출처(出處)를 택하지 않았다. 그가 지향한 삶의 태도는 부정(不正)의 현실을 외면하지 않고 그러한 현실 속에서 자신의 재능을 갖추고 세한(歲寒)의 절조를 지키며 세상을 구제하는 것이었다. 엄흔이 구름이 모이면 사라지고 구름이 걷히면 나타나는 달을 비판하고 세한에도 푸르름을 잃지 않는 경초(勁草)(굳세고 질긴 풀)와 푸르름과 하늘을 찌를 우뚝함을 갖춘 정원의 소나무(정송(庭松))를 찬미한 것은, 바로 경초(勁草)와 정송(庭松)과 같은 삶을 살아가겠다는 엄흔의 삶의 지향이었던 것이다.

현대회화에서 신체성의 활용에 관한 연구 (A study of using physical body in Contemporary Painting)

  • Body means 1)the whole structure and substance of a man, animal, or plant 2) the trunk or torso of a man or animal 3) part of garment that covers the trunk 4) the fresh or material substance, as opposed to the spirit. Human body could be distinguished as fresh and spirit. Body has the meaning of physicality. Physical means the bodily and constitution, but in the meaning of constitution there is the content of spirituality. Physicality means the appearing or arising of trace or image or nuance of body. The paintings which are using bodies are 1) directly draw bodies 2) twisting or transformation or nuance of the body and highly upgrade the physical emotion or fantastic bodily nuance 3) directly rubbing artist's body on the surface of painting with pigments to elect tactile specification. These physical art have appeared broadly by various artists, mainly with the social aspects of sex, drug, psycho sexual issues. In case of Joel peter Whitkin, the reason of strong physicality in the art is from the mind of the rejection and resistance of real world which is targeting top, perfect and beauty. Further explanation, being the world which is separated top and under, men and women, beauty and ugly; further in the situation, the hierarchy, terror and pressure began and many difficult problems has derived. The contents of attacking feminists's art works are very obscene to reveal female and male's phallus strongly. Sometime, it is strongly related in the political issues. The physical paintings have strong meanings in the action by hands and feet. It supports that it could reveal the humanity with smell, breath, and traces of bodies. In the bodies, the origin of life begins which gives human life by blood lines and water. Sometime, the physical paintings are made by the blood and urine to stick the physicality for special nuance. The physical paintings are made by the image of penis and clitoris which are related in the image of urinating, ejaculation and sometime is symbolized as pens and candles to drop liquid. The selected painters who are related in physical painting are Jackson Pollock, Andrea Serano, Eve Klein, Francis Bacon, Francesco Clemente, Lichard Long, Jakes & Dinos Chapman, Anselm Kiefer, Kiki Smith and Park, Ki Woong. Francis Bacon's style is destructive in representing human shapes which give us special message about the unbearable activity of men politician, high brain, wealthy and religious people. Francesco Clemente's method is to use throat, ear hole, mouse, clitoris, belly nostrils and every holes of body to transmute human physical body. Lichard Long uses directly his body in drawing the surface of painting by using liquid of mud Jakes & Dinos Chapman destroys or transforms the bodies of human. It sometime appears wrong location of the bodies that the penis and vulva is in between human faces or nose of women, Anselm Kiefer uses human hair for representing the human decaying martyrs, and indirectly using straw, he gives special ritual action to repent the Nazi's fault. From 2002 to 2003, Park KI Woong used women womb images to intermingle the smoke shape of <9.11 terror, 2001> in New York to reveal the painful situation of the time(*).

  • 조선초기 세종대에 제작하여 사용한 규표를 복원하기위해 '세종실록'을 비롯한 조선시대의 문헌자료를 수집하여 원리와 구조를 분석하였다. 그리고 이를 근거로 1/10로 축소 모형을 제작하고 설계도를 완성하였다. 규표의 구조는 규(圭), 용표(龍表), 횡량(橫梁), 또는 들보), 받침대로 구성되어 있다. 수직으로 세운 막대인 용표의 그림자가 수평으로 놓인 규면에 맺힐 때 눈금을 읽으면 된다. 이때 그림자 중심에 태양의 상을 맺히게 하는 영부를 사용하여 정밀하게 측정한다. 영부는 가운데 바늘구멍을 뚫은 작은 동판을 사용하여 바늘구멍 사진기와 샤임프러그 원리를 이용하여 태양의 영상을 맺히도록 한다.

  • 이 연구에서는 제7차 중학교 3학년 과학 교과서에서 원자 및 분자 개념을 표상한 시각자료의 유형 을 조사하고, 그 해석 과정을 기호학적 관점에서 분석했다. 원자 및 분자 개념은 구 도식, 일상생활의 사물, 공 과 막대기, STM 그래픽 등으로 다양하게 표현되고 있었다. 모형의 조작 가능성 여부를 기준으로 원자 및 분 자 개념을 이미지로 표상한 시각자료와 사물을 이용하여 원자 및 분자 개념을 표상한 시각자료를 구분했다. 이 시각자료들을 해석하기 위해 필요한 과정을 구조화 과정과 번역 과정을 포함하는 기호학적 모델을 이용하여 체계적으로 분석했다. 원자 및 분자 개념을 표상한 시각자료를 해석하는 것은 여러 단계의 해석 작업을 필요 로 하는 복잡한 과정이었다. 이에 대한 교육적 함의를 논의했다.

HMD를 이용한 사용자 자세 기반 항공 촬영용 쿼드로터 시스템 제어 인터페이스 개발 (A Posture Based Control Interface for Quadrotor Aerial Video System Using Head-Mounted Display)

  • In this paper, we develop an interface for aerial photograph platform which consists of a quadrotor and a gimbal using the human body and the head posture. As quadrotors have been widely adopted in many industries such as aerial photography, remote surveillance, and maintenance of infrastructures, the demand of aerial video and photograph has been increasing remarkably. Stick type remote controllers are widely used to control a quadrotor, but this method is not an intuitive way of controlling the aerial vehicle and the camera simultaneously. Therefore, a new interface which controls the serial photograph platform is presented. The presented interface uses the human head movement measured by head-mounted display as a reference for controlling the camera angle, and the human body posture measured from Kinect for controlling the attitude of the quadrotor. As the image captured by the camera is displayed on the head-mounted display simultaneously, the user can feel flying experience and intuitively control the quadrotor and the camera. Finally, the performance of the developed system shown to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the presented interface.

SVM과 회전 불변 텍스처 특징을 이용한 TRUS 영상의 전립선 윤곽선 검출 (Detecting the Prostate Contour in TRUS Image using Support Vector Machine and Rotation-invariant Textures)

  • 전립선은 남자에게만 있는 장기이다. 전립선의 질병을 진단하기 위하여 일반적으로 TRUS 영상이 사용되는데, 희미한 전립선 경계나 잡음, 좁은 그레이 레벨 분포 때문에, 전립선의 경계를 검출하는 것은 상당히 어려운 작업 중의 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 SVM을 사용하여 TRUS 영상에서 자동적으로 전립선 분할을 하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 전처리, 가버 특징 추출, 훈련, 전립선 분할 과정으로 진행된다. 전처리 과정에서 잡음 제거는 스틱 필터와 top-hat 변환이 적용된다. 회전 불변 텍스처 추출을 위하여 가버 필터 뱅크가 사용된다. 훈련과정에서 SVM은 전립선과 비전립선의 각 특징을 얻기 위해 사용되며, 마지막으로 전립선 경계가 추출된다. 여러 실험 결과로 제안 방법은 충분히 유효하고, 의사의 수동 추출 방법과 비교했을 때 10%미만의 경계 차이를 보였다.

아이스 하키 슬랩 샷(slap shot)의 운동학적 분석 (Kinematic analysis of Ire hockey slap shot)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinematic characteristics of Ice hockey slap shot. The subjects of this study were four professional ice hockey players. The reflective markers were attached on the anatomical boundary line of body and the subjects were asked to perform the shot. Ariel Performance Analysis System was used to capture and digitize the shooting image, the data were analyzed by LabView 6i. The results were as fellows. 1. The period of the back swing phase was $0.542{\pm}0.062sec$, the down swing phase was $0.28{\pm}0.056sec$ and the total swing time was $0.825{\pm}0.017sec$ 2. The maximum linear velocity of the stick blade for x direction was shown after 7% of impact, for y, z direction were shown before 2%, 8% of Impact. 3. The maximum velocity of each segment for the left arm was $2.35{\pm}0.05m/s$ in the upper arm, $3.56{\pm}0.34m/s$ in the forearm, $4.75{\pm}0.67m/s$ in the hand. 4. The maximum velocity of each segment for the right arm was $4.67{\pm}0.43m/s$ in the upper arm, $7.22{\pm}0.69m/s$ in the forearm, $9.42{\pm}0.89m/s$ in the hand. 5. The angle of left elbow was generally flexed from the ready stance to the impact and was $82.26{\pm}3.45^{\circ}$ the moment of Impact. 6. The angle of the left shoulder was increased ut the down swing phase and was $78.74{\pm}4.78^{\circ}$ on the moment of impact. 7. The angle of the right shoulder was decreased in the down swing phase and increased before the impact. and the angle was $51.28{\pm}3.54^{\circ}$ on the moment of impact.

시각장애인을 위한 음성 도우미 장치 (Voice Assistant for Visually Impaired People)

  • 시작장애인은 일상생활에서 시각저하로 인하여 색상, 지폐 금액 확인, 온도 판별 등의 불편을 겪는다. 그리하여 시각장애인을 도와주기 위한, 광학 카메라와 열화상 카메라를 이용한 시스템을 제안한다. 광학카메라는 특징 추출을 이용하여 색상 판별, 지폐 금액 확인하며, 온도 판별을 위해서 열화상 카메라를 이용한다. 버튼을 이용하여 색상, 지폐, 온도 모드를 선택하면, 해당 정보를 스피커를 통하여 음성으로 알려준다. 색상은 16가지, 지폐는 4가지, 온도는 4단계로 구분할 수 있으며, 각기 정확도는 90%이다. 향후 입력 영상 블록화, 머신러닝, 열화상 카메라 상위 버전을 통해 정확도를 개선할 수 있다. 또한, 휴대하기 편하게 지팡이에 부착하여 시각 장애인들이 더 편리하게 사용 할 수 있도록 개선 예정이다.
