  • As recent emergence of smart phones, mobile services are growing in various forms. Many companies released smart phones of various operating systems such as Window Mobile, Android and iOS. Currently, most popular smart phone operating systems are Android and iOS. Due to the various features of these smart phone, they can be employed to various crimes. From the point of view of digital forensics, this paper analyzes the evidence data which needs to be collected in the smart phone, and implements the evidence analysis tool. By using this tool, it can reduce the time and effort for collecting and analyzing the evidence of the smart phone.

  • The study was designed to transmit ECG(electrocardiogram) images from iPhone in order to check validity. Especially, web examined ECG transmissions from smart phones image viewer are good enough to secure clinical information and confirmed with visual. In result, it took 3 to 5 seconds for ECG viewer transmitting from a smart phone to display an image on mobile server to user's phone. For image valuation, we magnified the ECG image 100% or 200% at a resolution of $480{\times}320$ checking PQRST wave and found that it was both possible to see an accurate PQRST wave with all the trial data and to divide it into 1mm level of grid.

  • Since smartphones possess a variety of user information, we can derive useful data related to the case from app data analysis in the digital forensic perspective. However, it requires an appropriate forensic measure as smartphone has the property of high mobility and high possibility of data loss, forgery, and modulation. Especially the forged/modulated time-stamp impairs the credibility of digital proof and results in the perplexity during the timeline analysis. This paper provides traces of usage which could investigate whether the time-stamp has been forged/modulated or not within the range of iOS based devices.

A Study on APC-MPC in 8kbps of Convergence System (융복합 시스템의 8kbps에 있어서 APC-MPC에 관한 연구)

  • In a MPC(Multi-Pulse Coding) using excitation source of voiced and unvoiced, it would be a distortion of voice waveform. This is caused by normalization of synthesis speech waveform of voiced in the process of restoration. To solve this problem, this paper present APC-MPC of amplitude-position compensation in a multi-pulses each pitch interval in order to reduce distortion of synthesis waveform. Also, I was implemented that the APC-MPC in coding system. And I evaluate the SNRseg of APC-MPC in 8kbps coding condition of convergence system. As a result, SNRseg of APC-MPC was 13.9dB for female voice and 14.3dB for male voice respectively. And so, I expect to be able to this method for cellular phone and smart phone using excitation source of low bit rate.

To reflect these points in smartphone users to easily use their own vehicles at a time to determine the status of a system that is required. In this paper, OBD-II protocol conversion WiFi OBD-II connector, retrieving information from the driver of the vehicle replacement cycle of consumables required vehicle inspection, vehicle problems in real-time diagnostic information to the user ease of use shows the iPhone implementation in the automotive supply was implemented based on the smartphone.

Development of a Simulator for a Mobile Robot Based on iPhone (아이폰 기반의 이동로봇 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • This study presents the remote control of a mobile robot using iPhone based on ad hoc communication. Two control interfaces are proposed to control a mobile robot using iPhone : Remote control by a user and autonomous control. To evaluate the effectiveness of algorithms for trajectory following, a simulator are developed where a virtual robot follows a referenced trajectory in a monitor by iPhone interface. In the proposed simulator, some algorithms are tested how they work well or not for trajectory following of a mobile robot. Comparative results by remote user control and autonomous control are shown. Results of an experiment show that the proposed simulator can be effectively used for testing the effectiveness of autonomous tracking algorithms.

  • As a diverse range of smartphones has been recently developed and diffused, the users of SNS (Social Network Service) also have been sharply increased. The SNS saves a variety of information such as exchanged pictures and videos, voice mails or location sharing, chat history, etc. as well as simple user data, so that the acquisition of data that are useful in the aspect of digital forensic is achievable. This thesis reviews the types of SNS that are available for the iPhone, a recent example of highly used smartphones, and types of data by each client. Also, efficient data analysis method for digital forensic investigations is suggested by analyzing the relationships within the collected data by each client.

  • Smart phone systems such as Android and iPhone are spreading into the next generation's computing and the prediction that cell phone (especially smart phone) penetration rate will be higher than that of PC in the near future is predominant. In this paper, we designed and materialized an item pool system which has self directed learning function that enables learning with smart phone (the PC in the hand). Users can choose the way of studying and do the offered estimation depending on their levels with smart phone. It is materialized the studying environment which can be done immediately anytime and anywhere.

  • iPad는 Apple사가 만든 태블릿 PC 또는 이와 유사한 모바일 디바이스로, iPhone의 기능에 부가하여 iWorks, iBooks, iAd라는 킬러앱을 장착함으로써 모바일 산업 및 기존 산업들의 생산-유통-소비 구조에 큰 변화를 몰고 올 것으로 전망된다. 주요 기관별 2010년 판매 전망이 300~1,000만 대 사이로 다양한 가운데, iPad는 출시 28일 만에 100만 대의 판매를 돌파하면서 Apple사의 i-시리즈 중 가장 빠른 초기 판매속도를 보이고 있다. 그러나 국내에서는 iPad의 시장확산 속도와 영향력이 해외에서만큼 파괴적이지는 않을 것으로 예상된다. 이는 우리나라 모바일 디바이스 이용 환경/문화가 북미-유럽과 다르고, 대기업 중심의 탄탄한 모바일 단말 제조-유통 구조가 구축되어 있으며, 국내에서 iPhone이 시장점유율 변화에 미친 영향력이 미비했다는 점으로 설명할 수 있겠다. 한편, iPad 열풍에 대한 국내 IT 업체들의 대응방안으로는 대안 소프트웨어 플랫폼을 적극 개발하는 전략, Apple사의 플랫폼 주도권을 인정하고 콘텐츠 및 애플리케이션 개발에 주력하는 전략, 그리고 iPad를 모방한 Me-too 제품을 출시하는 전략 등을 고려할 수 있겠다.

A Study on 8kbps PC-MPC by Using Position Compensation Method of Multi-Pulse (멀티펄스의 위치보정 방법을 이용한 8kbps PC-MPC에 관한 연구)

  • In a MPC coding using excitation source of voiced and unvoiced, it would be a distortion of speech waveform. This is caused by normalization of synthesis speech waveform of voiced in the process of restoration the multi-pulses of representation section. To solve this problem, this paper present a method of position compensation(PC-MPC) in a multi-pulses each pitch interval in order to reduce distortion of speech waveform. I was confirmed that the method can be synthesized close to the original speech waveform. And I evaluate the MPC and PC-MPC using multi-pulses position compensation method. As a result, $SNR_{seg}$ of PC-MPC was improved 0.4dB for female voice and 0.5dB for male voice respectively. Compared to the MPC, $SNR_{seg}$ of PC-MPC has been improved that I was able to control the distortion of the speech waveform finally. And so, I expect to be able to this method for cellular phone and smart phone using excitation source of low bit rate.
