There were 40 (20.0%), 16 (8.0%), 8 (4.0%), and 11 (9.0%) students with mild, moderate, and severe depression, respectively. The group with depressive symptoms constituted 3.5% of students. There was a significant positive correlation between negative stress perception and depression. Conversely, there was a significant negative correlation between adaptive humor style and negative stress perception. Ultimately, there were significant negative correlations between positive stress perception, adaptive humor style, maladaptive humor style, responding humor and depression. To test the mediating effect of adaptive humor style in the relationship between negative stress perception and depression, a Sobel test was performed and Z-score of 1.7736 (p=.076) obtained. Therefore, further studies about humor style and the effect of humor are worthwhile. In the present study, we shall pay attention to buffering effect of humor on a decline in mental health. we attempted to identify weather the buffering effect of humor is different depending on humor styles in psychiatric patients. For this purpose correlation analysis on humor style, depression, anxiety and life satisfaction were carried out, and hierarchical regression analysis were applied to analyse moderating effect of humor style. Consequently, self-enhancing humor has a significant moderating effect on both depression and anxiety. Whereas, affiliative humor has a significant interactive effect with only depression. The conclusion which can be drawn from this study is that positive humor can work as a protective factor on a decline in mental health, and using self-enhancing humor is effective to increase life satisfaction. It might have a convergent meaning on adaptation that psychiatric patients could have a good adaptation(by using positive humor) in real world.

A total of 250 copies of the questionnaire were distributed. Subsequently, a total of 227 valid questionnaire copies, after excluding improper responses, were used in the analysis. After verifying the reliability and feasibility of variances, Amos 18.0 was used to implement the structure method so as to verify the study hypotheses. As a result of this analysis, the suitability of the entire model was considerably appropriate to the standard value, and the level is adequate to accommodate the study model completely. Results - First, it was found that the adaptive humor of golf service assistants had a positive effect on deep acting and maladaptive humor had a positive effect on surface acting.
