EEG Signal, Subjective Fragrance Sensation, and Preference of Citrus Oil Microcapsule-Loaded Fabric (감귤 오일 마이크로캡슐 가공 직물에 대한 EEG 신호와 주관적 향기감성 및 선호도)

  • This study investigated EEG signal, subjective fragrance sensation, and the preference of differently colored cotton knit treated with Citrus unshiu oil containing microcapsules as well as examined their relationships for providing regression models on subjective fragrance preference. Color variables combining 2-level hue (Yellow and Green) and 3-level tone (strong, pale, and grayish) were applied by dyeing prior to microcapsule treatment. We invited 28 female college students aged 20's for EEG signal experiments and subjective fragrance sensations with fragrant knit by rubbing. EEG signals at $mid-{\alpha}$, $fast-{\alpha}$, and $low-{\beta}$ showed significant differences depending on color; Green had more relative power values and grayish tone did more at $low-{\beta}$. Even though subjective sensation showed no significant differences depending on color, some of them such as Fresh, Comfort, and Natural showed significant correlations with EEG signal at $low-{\beta}$, which means that the fragrance sensations of Citrus unshiu fragrance are concerned with attention and alertness for Koreans. Fragrance preference was regressed significantly using some EEG signals and subjective sensation. The results could be utilized to value up fragrant textiles by Citrus unshiu oil.

A Study on Coordination Image of Korean city woman's Face Color (5YR 7/3) and Clothes Colors (한국도시여성의 얼굴색과 의복색과의 배색이미지에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of present study was to examine how each clothes colors on the basis of 5YR 7/3 face color affect clothes colors images as follows : (1) what general consciousness of clothes colors in, (2) how the impression of the harmony of 5YR 7/3 face color and clothes colors is, (3) when we divide clothes colors according to the property of colors- chromatic color and achromatic color, cool color.neutral color.warm color, in tone, in color colume- if there is the difference of visual evaluation, (4) image analysis of 45 clothes colors with the view of each kind of adjectives. The result of this study is as the following: 1. As a result of the analysis of general consciousness on clothes colors, when subjects chose clothes, they most considered colors and they also considered their face colors. They would choose the color of clothes, which were becoming to their having clothes colors or their face colors when they bought clothes. 2. The impressions of coordination of 5YR 7/3 face color and clothes colors consisted of three dimensions - evaluation, activity and harmony. 3. It was known that as a result of the analysis of visual evalutional differences according to dividing the clothes colors by property of colors, there were such notable differences that they might effect the coordination images of face color and clothes colors differently. 4. After arranging 45 clothes colors on the graphs in 17 adjectives, gethering them thogether in each dimension and as the result of the analysis in the evaluation dimension, estimation of yellow, light green column were low and that of achromatic colors were high. That is, it was known that the evalution dimension was concerned with hue of the color properties. In activity dimension, there were different image according to each adjectives. The Analysis of General and Apparel Color Preference and Apparel Possession Color (일반색. 의복색 선호도와 의복색 소유도의 특성 및 차이)

  • This study intended to provide more refined information on color preferences by systematizing the concept of the color preference(general color preference, apparel color preference) and revealing different trends in the color preference and the actual possession of apparels. We collected data from 303 females in the ages between 20 and 40 in Seoul and analyzed by paired t-test. The results were as follows: 1. The analysis on general color preference, apparel color preference, and apparel possession color revealed that the cold colors such as blue and violet marked higher, and the warm colors such as yellow and orange marked lower in general color preference. For apparel color preference, neutral and brown were among the highest and the rest of the colors were in the same trend as general color preference. Apparel possession color showed defined accordance with apparel color preference. In terms of tones, pale tone marked the highest in general color preference and was followed by vivid, dull, and dark tones in decreasing order. For apparel color preference, pastel, dul1, and dark tones were among the highest. 2. Comparison between general color preference and apparel color preference in terms of hue showed that, except for orange, every hue showed disagreement in general color preference and apparel color preference. Neutral and brown hues marked higher in apparel color preference than in general color preference where as a]1 the other hues marked higher in general color preference. Comparison between apparel color preference and apparel possession color in terms of hue revealed that in most hues, apparel possession color was lower than apparel color preference. In terms of tones, vivid and pale tones marked higher in general color preference than in apparel color preference while dull and dark tones marked higher in apparel color preference than in general color preference.

  • HDR (high dynamic range) tone mapping algorithms are used in image processing that reduces the dynamic range of an image to be displayed on LDR (low dynamic range) devices properly. The retinex is one of the tone mapping algorithms to provide dynamic range compression, color constancy, and color rendition. It has been developed through multi-scale methods and luminance-based methods. Retinex algorithms still have drawbacks such as the emphasized noise and desaturation. In this paper, we propose a multi scale tone mapping algorithm for enhancement of contrast, saturation, and noise of HDR rendered images based on visual brightness functions. In the proposed algorithm, HSV color space has been used for preserving the hue and saturation of images. And the algorithm includes the estimation of minimum and maximum luminance level and a visual gamma function for the variation of viewing conditions. And subjective and objective evaluations show that proposed algorithm is better than existing algorithms. The proposed algorithm is expected to image quality enhancement in some fields that require a improvement of the dynamic range due to the changes in the viewing condition.

  • 직물의 소리에 의해 유발되는 감성을 토대로 직물의 소리를 색채와 매치시키는 실험을 실시하여 직물의 소리를 색으로 변환해 봄으로써 시각과 생각에 의한 복합감성을 활용한 직물 디자인을 제안해 보고자 하였다. 의류소재 30개의 소리를 녹음하여 군집분석한 후 각 군집별로 섬유의 종류를 고려하여 총 6개의 소리를 선택하여 주관적 감성평가와 색 변환실험에 사용하였다. 직물의 소리는 섬유의 조성에 관계없이 주로 Blue, Purple Blue 그리고 무채색으로 표현되었다. 그런, wool은 Gr(grayish), silk는 Dk(dark), polyester는 Dl(dull), nylon은 Dk(dark)등의 차분하고, 안정되고, 점잖은 느낌의 색조로, cotton과 flax는 P(pale)와 Vp(very pale) 같은 부드럽고 가벼운 느낌의 색조로 표현되었다. 따라서 직물의 소리 감성을 설명하는 요소는 색상보다는 색조에 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • This research has for its object to look carefully into the peculiarity of the color of the costume in the Korean culture by revealing the characteristic and the idea of the color being discovered in the Korean basic culture, which has the majority of the Korean people. The scope of the basic culture was divided into folk belief, folk game and folk play. Within these limits, the colors of the dress, accessories, instruments were extracted by comparing with the naked eye in NCS Color System. For the analysis of hue and tone the secondary dimensional analysis using NCS color system and the three-dimensional analysis using the software, COLOR 3D Version 2.0, were done.

  • 본 연구는 거주자를 고려한 색채계획에 기초자료로 활용되고자 주거공간의 색채계획 실태와 선호하는 색채를 파악하고, 이를 사용자 측면에서 평가하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 거주자들은 마감재를 선택하는데 있어서 특정한 한 가지 요인보다는 여러 가지 요인을 동시에 고려한다. 둘째, 주거공간에서 색채는 실내분위기를 결정하는데 중요한 요소라고 평가하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 현재 거실공간과 부부침실의 경우 천장과 벽의 색상(Hue)은 N(흰색)계열이었고, 색조(Tone)는 밝은 톤으로 마감되어 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 색채계획에 관한 만족도는 보통인 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 거실공간과 부부침실에서 가장 선호되는 마감색채는 현재의 것과 동일하게 나타났지만, 현재 마감된 색채보다는 색채종류가 더 다양함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트폰 케이스에 제품디자인에 있어서 패턴 디자인 활용사례를 알아보고 주조색 분석을 통해 패턴디자인 트렌드를 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 주조색 추출에 사용된 스마트폰 케이스는 +D프로젝트에 출시된 자료를 활용해 9명 디자이너 별 대표제품 2개를 분석했으며, 분석은 한국 표준색 색채분석, KSCA (Korea Standard Color Analysis) 프로그램을사용하여 각각의 이미지에서 5%이상 쓰인 주조색을 추출 하였고, Hue&Tone 분포를 통해 스마트폰케이스 패턴디자인에 사용된 색채 트렌드를 알아보고자 한다. 스마트폰케이스에 사용된 전체 주조색들을 살펴보면 색상에 있어서는 붉은색(R) 과 보라색-파랑색(PB) 의 분포가 상대적으로 높게 나타났고, 색조에 있어서는 밝은(B), 옅은(P) 톤이 가장 많이 사용 된 것을 알 수 있다. 향후 연구에서는 색채를 통한 감성분석을 연구해 스마트폰 케이스 제품디자인에 있어서 색채와 감성 간의 상관관계를 알아보고자 한다.

It analyzes the color tendency of the apartment model house and it presents it does the guide line of house space color design $2001{\sim}2004$ It was sold in lots from the year Busan area in center, the acreage and the space(the wall/the ceiling, the furniture type, the window and door type and the floor type) it used 'The hue&tone 120 color system' and it grasped to the sincere analysis method and the color use present condition which leads a frequency analysis. When it sees the color analysis result of the research which it sees space especially the color plan period for a discrimination compared to the organic enemy the unity which considers a relationship the crisis which will the plan is become accomplished with the direction for, Magnification feeling or high class of the area it is that it shows the color tendency which is discriminated it was with equilibrium general classification.

Modern Fashion Design Development by using Motifs and Colors of Flower and Bird Pictures in Folk Painting (민화의 화조화에 나타난 모티브와 색채를 활용한 현대 패션디자인 개발)

  • This study analyzes the characteristics of the motifs and colors in flower and bird paintings which contain and present Korea's unique aesthetics based on its richest data among all other types of Korean folk paintings. With a theoretical exploration of folk paintings and an analysis of the motifs and colors, textile design with an aim to present highly valued korean modern fashion design was developed. Two hundred and seventy flower and bird paintings were selected from relevant materials, resulting in an extraction of 5,068 colors. A palette of representative colors was made based on densely distributed hues and tones. The research can be summarized as follows: Flower and bird paintings contain flowers, birds, trees and animals and the motifs in the paintings stand for spirituality, philosophies from different times and other symbols of our nation. Each of the motifs in these paintings is a prayer for good luck, especially conjugal harmony and fecundity to bring about happiness and richness. Colors in flower and bird paintings are characteristic of the order: YR(25.5%)>R(19.2%)>Y(10.6%)>PB(9.2%)>G(7.9%), with low-chromatic YR and highly bright R taking up a larger percent. The order of tones is: d(13.5%)>dk (10.5%)>s(10.4%)>dkg(10.0%)>sf(9.1%)and the tone is dark in general. YR, taking up the largest percent, was dull, light, and soft. As for the achromatic colors, the order is: W(5.2%)>Gy(1.9%)>Bk(0.7%). Based on the above analyzed color data, those colors which were high in their hue and tone were extracted to present representative colors. In this way, representative colors like yellow, yellowish red, red, green, and purplish blue were extracted. This was the basis to present motifs and colors originating from subjects of folk paintings in various patterns using Illustrator CS6, to create modern fashion design.
