Purpose - The purpose of this study is to find out how shipping company recognizes making partnership with the third party logistics provider and to give implication. Research design, data and methodology - Personal interview and questionnaire by E-mail, Fax, Mail, and telephone were used. 700 copies of the questionnaires were distributed and 155 copied were returned. Among collected questionnaires, 20 copies were excluded because of insufficient content, and therefore 135 copies were used. Results - Korea should change into new paradigm from old one based on current economic and social systems which has stemmed from bureaucracy, inflexibility chauvinism and equalitarianism. Flexible policies, administration and systems will be needed for better business practices. The Domestic logistics corporation needs to preoccupy strategic logistics hub and network. Conclusions - To be a center of North East Logistics, Korea needs more reasonable business law, systems and policies. Social norms and orders should be established to accomplish political and social security. A paradigm of the policy ruling over development of capital city and satellite cities shall make change.

The network structures of a hyperlinked environment can be a rich source of information about the contents of the environment and it provides effective means for understanding it. Recently, there have been a number of algorithms proposed analyzing hypertext link structure so as to determine the best authorities for a given topic or query. In this paper, we review the algorithm of mutual reinforcement relationship for finding hubs and authorities from World Wide Web, and suggest SHA, a new approach for link-structure analysis, which uses the relationships among a set of relative authoritative pages, a set of hub pages, and a set of super hub pages.

Fleet sizing and empty equipment redistribution are two of the most critical problems in managing a fleet of equipment over a transportation network. Where the demand pattern followed the compound Poisson process(CPP) which can be generated one or more at a time under homogeneous Poisson process(HPP), this paper presented a mathematical model to determine control parameters of a decentralized distribution policy and fleet size in case of the pure hub-and-spoke system, a popular form of a logistics system. and validated this model by simulation. That is, where the number of demanded equipments followed geometric and binomial distributions, respectively, cost models on the pure hub-and-spoke logistics system with deterministic trans-portation times, which could be solved analytically, were established and analyzed. We also compared the deterministic case with stochastic one that the transportation time follows some probability distributions.

Coastal shipping performs a pivotal role as a national transportation network and is highly valuable in terms of enabling more economical transportation at affordable prices than road transportation. In this regard, this study aimed to examine changes in the characteristics and centrality of South Korea's costal shipping sea-route networks by analyzing the centrality of domestic coastal shipping. To this end, social network analysis was used as an analysis technique that enables an analysis on the characteristics of coastal shipping networks. As a result, Jeollanam-do showed the highest degree centrality, ranking first in both the in-degree and the out-degree. Jeollanam-do also exhibited the highest betweenness centrality, and Gangwon-do registered the highest closeness centrality. In terms of hub and authority centrality, Jeollanam-do topped the list, followed by Gyeongsangnam-do and Gangwon-do in order. Lastly, Jeollanam-do ranked highest in the hub index, followed by Incheon, other regions, and Gangwon-do in order. This study is significant for suggesting the cities and provinces that play a key role in coastal shipping each year and their corresponding items. Future studies are recommended to identify the trend of coastal shipping through more detailed research on each port by city and province.

We studied the variety and affinity between the successive words in the text document A number of groups were defined by the frequency of a following word in the whole text (corpus). In the previous studies, the Zipf's power law was explained by Chinese restaurant process and hub node was searched after by examining the edge number profile in scale free network. We have observed both a power law and a hub profile at the same time by studying the conditional frequency and degeneracy of a group. A symmetry between the affinity and the variety between words were found during the data analysis. And this phenomenon can be explained within a viewpoint of "exploitation and exploration." We also remark on a small symmetry breaking phenomenon in TIPSTER data.

Carbon dioxide Capture and Storage/Sequestration (CCS) technology has attracted attention as an ideal method for most carbon dioxide reduction needs. When the collected carbon dioxide is transported to storage via pipelines, the direct transport is made if the storage is close, otherwise it can also be transported via an intermediate storage hub. Determining the number and the location of the intermediate storage hubs is an important problem. A decision-making algorithm using a mathematical model for solving the problem requires considerably more variables and constraints to describe the multi-objective decision, but the computational complexity of the problem increases and it also does not guarantee the optimality. This research proposes an algorithm to determine the location and the number of the intermediate storage hub and develop a simulator for the connection network of the carbon dioxide emission site. The simulator also provides the course of transportation of the carbon dioxide. As a case study, this model is applied to Korea.

We propose a speech recognition system based on conformer. Conformer is known to be convolution-augmented transformer, which combines transfer model for capturing global information with Convolution Neural Network (CNN) for exploiting local feature effectively. The baseline system is developed to be a transfer-based speech recognition using Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM)-based language model. The proposed system is a system which uses conformer instead of transformer with transformer-based language model. When Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) speech corpus in AI-Hub is used for our evaluation, the proposed system yields 5.7 % of Character Error Rate (CER) while the baseline system results in 11.8 % of CER. Even though speech corpus is extended into other domain of AI-hub such as NHNdiguest speech corpus, the proposed system makes a robust performance for two domains. Throughout those experiments, we can prove a validation of the proposed system.

The role that English currently plays is undeniable. It has become the most common means of communication among native speakers of several languages around the world. English penetrates into all areas of people's daily lives. In the field of Information Technology (IT), English has taken a dominant position, as many of the terms used on a daily basis are written in English. The purpose of the article is to analyze the linguistic features of anglicisms in the field of Information Technology. Methods. The research is based on systematic and comparative analysis, dialectical method, as well as methods of classification and generalization. Results. This study presents the results of compiling a multilingual glossary with anglicisms used in the GitHub and 3D Slicer fields. Despite the limited number of terms included in the glossary, the article provides a lot of evidence for the influence of the English language in the areas of Information Technology, GitHub and 3D Slicer under consideration. The types of anglicisms used in the 3D Slicer area seem to be more diverse than in the GitHub area. This study found that five European languages use language strategies to solve any communication problem. The multilingual glossary showed that in some cases there is a coexistence between Anglicism and the native term. In other cases, the English term is the only one used in different languages. There are cases when only the native language is used. Conclusions. This study is a useful tool that helps to improve the efficiency of communication between engineers and technicians who speak different native languages. The ultimate goal of this research will be to create a multilingual glossary that is still under development and is likely to cover other IT areas such as Python and VTK.

This thesis examines the problems faced in the electronic trade platform for which improvements are necessary, and suggests various ways of overcoming those problems. Practical implications regarding the advancement of Korea's u-TradeHub system are as follows. First, from the technical and legal aspects, to make up for a lack of support systems for spread of users, it is required to promote customized advertising strategies through Ministry of Knowledge Economy and establish a global certification system. Second, document standardization and digitalization should be achieved in advance to make the documents distributed through the e-Trade platform in a seamless manner. Furthermore, an ongoing global network development project should be promoted through the e-Trade platform to achieve standardization. Third, from the operational aspect, it is important to maintain an integrated and systematic relationship with related organizations. Because vertical integration among logistics service providers and GSCM are enabled through the e-Trade platform, it is necessary to standardize global network-based linkage and operating systems.

In this paper, the design problem of local area networks is defined as finding the network topology minimizing cost subject to reliability constraint. The design problem includes issues such as multiple choices of link type for each possible link, multiple choices of hub type for each hub, and allocation of the users to the hubs. To efficiently solve the problem, a genetic approach is suggested. According to the experiments, the proposed approach improves search performance.
