The purpose of this study was to inquire into performance of Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children based on HOME environment stimuli and age. For the purpose of this, a trained tester carried out K-WISC-IV oriented to 128 children aged 6-16, and this study conducted HOME to mothers. Regarding participants' full Scale IQ and 4 index score(Verbal Comprehension, Perceptual Reasoning, Working Memory, Processing Speed) and HOME, they were analyzed by age group of two: a group of children aged 6-10 and another group of children aged 11-16. According to the analysis results, both age groups showed a significant positive correlation between Full Scale IQ, Verbal Comprehension Index, and HOME environment stimuli. The results of this study were discussed and proposed the necessity of studies in relation to performance of diverse subtests in accordance with amendment of future intelligence scales.
The purpose of the present study was to determine the structural relationship among the father's participation in childcare, parenting stress, marital satisfaction, and the job satisfaction of working mothers. This study is based on the 2011 Panel Study on Korean Children, a large, population-based study conducted by the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. The participants were 431 working mothers. To ensure the reliability and validity of the questions, descriptive statistics of the frequency, ratio, average, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis were obtained using SPSS 21.0. Exploratory factor, variables correlation, and reliability analysis were also performed. The structural analysis using AMOS 20.0 in the bootstrapping method was conducted to perform a path analysis among the variables and to assess the suitability of the model. A hypothetical model was proposed, which was composed of a father's participation in childcare as an exogenous variable and parenting stress, marital satisfaction, and job satisfaction of a working mother as the endogenous variables. The results of this study are as follows: First, a father's participation in childcare and the parenting stress and marital satisfaction of a working mother affect the job satisfaction of the mother. The most influential factor is marital satisfaction. Second, marital satisfaction has mediating effects between the father's participation in childcare and the parenting stress and job satisfaction of the working mother. Third, parenting stress does not affect job satisfaction.
The purpose of this paper is to describe the situation of everyday life of women and men in Germany and gender related aspects. Therefore social demographical data, presented tv the Office for European Statistics, Luxembourg and by German statistical data, are used. Based on this data the different roles, responsibilities, and social positions of women and men are interpreted in the context of the idea of mainstreaming gender. In comparison to other European countries, especially to the Scandinavian countries, the situation of women in Germany still has to be improved. It is a prevalent problem for women to arrange family life and working career, because the gender-related role-allocation is still an issue. Women, who are involved in looking after children, are significantly less engaged in business life, as for men caring does not make a difference, whether they are employed or not. In addition to this fact women on average earn less than men, especially for women working in higher positions. To improve the situation of women and men the German government has initiated a ‘Gender Mainstreaming Policy’ in 2000 and has taken important legal measures which make it possible to reconcile family-life and gainful employment. For Home Economists there is a need to integrate the gender dimension into a household analytical approach.

The purpose of this study is to propose the direction of environmental education for early childhood children based on the environment-friendly life style and to improve the possibility of application of it at home and kindergarten. This study reviewed reflectively the early studies on the concepts of ecocentrism, the emerging process of it, the importance of environmental education for early childhood children based on the ecocentrism, and the practice of these kinds of education at home and kindergarten. The main concepts connected to the environment-friendly life style based on ecocentrism, that is, 'preservation of nature', 'interdepentence', 'wholeness', 'equilibrium' are the foundations of environmental education for early childhood children. When these kinds of concepts are considered, the aims of environmental education for early childhood children should be focused on the life style that attaches great importance to the symbiosis of human being and nature. The educational contents and methods in harmony with ecocentrism are as follows: The educational methods should be connected to the education based on ordinariness, the learning through adults' model, the family-community-centered activities, and ways of thinking of the unity of knowledge and conduct. And educational contents should include all of the life styles in clothes, food, and shelter. And the educational methods also should be connected to the education through joint working of children and teacher, play-centered education, activities considering ages and individual variations, and education connected home. And educational contents should include many different kinds of activities of experiencing nature outside home and kindergarten.

The present study investigated the current child care practices of professional working mothers in Korea and their needs for substitute child care outside the home. Three hundred twenty-two professional working mothers who have children under 6 years of age in Seoul, Pusan, Taegu, and Taejon were surveyed with the use of a questionnaire. It was found that during their working hours, most of the professional working mothers put their children in the care of either the paternal or the maternal grandmothers. Others put the children in the care of a full-time housekeeper or a part-time housekeeper. While all the mothers had worked out a way to care for their children, almost all of them would use day care if facilities were available. Specifically, 42 per cent prefer child care at their work site, 21 per cent prefer family day care, and only 3 per cent indicated that they would not use any child care facilities. Most of the working mothers think that their employer should manage the day care program. Others prefer social agency or government management. Regarding costs, most prefer that costs should be split 50-50 between the employer and the family. In addition, professional working mothers wanted quality programs with educational components rather than mere custodial care. It was concluded that variety in types of quality child care programs should be available to provide working mothers the options of choosing what they want for their children. The main type of programs suggested by this study is work site based child care for children under 3 years of age. The existing law for the Saemaul Nursery School program should be implemented so as to include programs for children under 3.
Development of technology in the $20^{th}$ century has made great contributions to women's lives. With the development of digital convergence, home network, and DMBs (Distance Method Bracings), the ubiquitous technology information era is expected to create a new progressive era for women. The purpose of this study is to investigate the lifestyle that Korean women would like to pursue, especially in regards to the sense of value within the personal and social life of each individual. As a method to suggest how the socio-cultural trends of women's lifestyle will change in the ubiquitous era, qualitative interviews have been conducted over 6 groups with 77 persons between the digital ages of 20s and 30s, living in Seoul. The majority had positive opinions regarding the economic, cultural, emotional, and physical prospects of the ubiquitous information environment. Results show high expectations evolved around freedom from household chores, the equality between the sexes (at home and in society), enhancing the working environment at home, an expansion of human relationships leading to creative knowledge, being able to maintain a single life without economic constraints, and the enjoyment that the internet provides. for suggestions to improve the quality of women's lifestyle through ubiquitous technology, issues such as individual based customization, time management, creating emotional hyperspaces, multi-media communication systems, and women as leaders were studied.

Purpose: The study aimed at providing better understanding of the way of carrying out nursing practice tailored to meet patient's individuality, and types of customized care in home care settings. Method: This study was conducted with qualitative design, using a grounded theory method. The directors of the home care department at three general hospitals nominated 12 staff nurses who had the experience of customized care. The data were collected using interview and field observation, and analyzed line-by-line with steps of coding. Result: The core category of customized care was 'caring in a precise manner suited to patient's individuality'. The central phenomenon was 'desire to do more for patient'. The action and interactions were: (a) knowing a patient all the more, (b) making a special relationship to a patient, (c) designing care alternatives reflecting individuality, and (d) performing the care alternatives reflecting individuality. Three types of customized care were the following: (a) completion of customized care, (b) an attempt to customized care, and (c) abandonment of working for customized care. Conclusions: The knowledge of customized care would be based on development of nursing practice program focusing on patient' individuality, and instrument development necessary for further research on care customization.
