초기 및 중기 청소년의 사회적 지지와 외로움간 관계 : 생활만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Relationship Between Social Support and Loneliness in Early and Mid-adolescents : Focused on the Mediation Effect of Life Satisfaction)

  • This study examined the mediation effect of life satisfaction between social support and loneliness. The subjects were two hundred and eighty fifth grade elementary school and second grade middle school adolescents in Seoul. The instruments used were questionnaires about loneliness and other factors relevant to loneliness. Social support factors existing in an adolescent's external environment include the support of parents, peers, and teachers. And life satisfaction as a psychological characteristic was concerned with the adolescent's sense of self, school life, home environment, and family relations. Data were analyzed by using the t-test, Pearson's correlation and regression. Major findings were as follows: (1) There were significant differences in parent and teacher support, satisfaction with school life, home environment, and family relations between early adolescents and mid adolescents. (2) Parental, peer, and teacher support, contentment with oneself, school life, home environment, and family relations were negatively related to the fifth-grade early adolescent's loneliness. Peer support and contentment with oneself, school life, and home environment were negatively related to the second-grade middle adolescent's loneliness. (3) Life satisfaction had a mediation effect between peer, parental, and teacher support and loneliness in fifth grade early adolescence. Whole life satisfaction had a mediation effect between only peer support and loneliness.

공동체적 가정교육의 실행과 가정건전도 (The Relationship between Community Values Taught at Home and the Soundness of Family Life)

  • This study was conducted to investigate how the community values taught at home by parents affect the soundness of family life. The 914 participants in the sample were parents residing in Seoul. Major findings are described in the following: 1) The general level education of community-oriented values at home, which was measured by the level of parents' practice of community-oriented behavior, was very insufficient. 2) The soundness of family life was measured in six sub-areas. The six areas showed varying degrees of soundness, but the overall level of soundness was satisfactory. The conjugal relationship had the highest degree of soundness, whereas the general everyday atmosphere at home marked the lowest level. 3) The only significant independent variable that affected the practice of community values was the participants's subjective perception of their social class standing. 4) The level of practice of community values and social class variables were found to influence the soundness of family life. The level of practice of community values was an especially strong predictor in all areas of family soundness. In conclusion, the education of community values at home, measured by the parental practice of community-oriented behavior, positively influences the soundness of the family.

재가노인의 동거유형에 따른 임파워먼트, 건강행위, 생활만족의 차이에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Empowerment, Health Behavior and Life Satisfaction in the Elderly Home Residents according to Living Situations)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was investigate the empowerment, health behavior and life satisfaction in elderly home residents according to living situations. Method: Data were collected from September to October, 2005. The participants were 240 elderly people who lived at home. Date were collected using structured questionnaire and analysed using t-test, ANOVA, Sheffe test. Result: Empowerment in elderly home residents according to living situations was significantly different(F=3.35, p=.006). Health behavior in elderly home residents according to living situations was not different significantly(F=.88, p=.492). However, questionnaire of "only the elderly couple lives" showed the highest health behavior score as an average 3.05$({\pm}.24)$. Life satisfaction in elderly home residents according to living situations was not different significantly(F=1.67, p=.143). There was a positive correlation between empowerment, health behaviors and life satisfaction. Conclusion: Considering that the single home which only the elderly people reside is the one of general family patterns of the aged people, the elderly people shall acknowledge the difference of values between a family pattern which takes a serious view of family or sons/daughters and a family pattern which reflects a weak supporting consciousness by a nuclear family. Based on above facts, Nurses should develope the nursing strategies to promote life satisfaction in the elderly.

중·고등학교 기술·가정 교과서와 타 교과 교과서의 '소비생활' 영역 중복 내용 분석 (The analyses of duplicated contents of 'Consumer Life' area in Technology & Home Economics and other subject textbooks for middle and high school students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 '소비생활' 영역의 분석준거를 설정하여 2009 개정 교육과정에 따라 집필된 중 고등학교 기술 가정 교과서와 타 교과 교과서의 중복된 내용 요소를 비교 분석하여 궁극적으로 가정과 교육에서 '소비생활' 영역의 효과적인 교육을 위한 자료를 제시하는 데 있다. 기술 가정 교과서와 타 교과 교과서의 '소비생활' 영역 내용 중복요소를 파악하기 위하여 2009 개정 교육과정에 따라 집필된 중학교 "기술 가정 I II", "사회 I II", "도덕 I II", 고등학교 "기술 가정", "사회", "생활과 윤리"교과서를 개발된 분석 준거로 내용 분석하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, '소비생활' 영역을 중심으로 2009 개정 교육과정에 따라 집필된 중학교 기술 가정 교과서와 타 교과(도덕, 사회) 교과서 내용의 중복 내용을 분석한 결과, 기술 가정, 도덕, 사회 교과서 순으로 '소비 생활' 영역에 대한 내용이 제시되었으며 중학교 기술 가정, 도덕, 사회 교과서에 공통적으로 제시된 중복 상세 요소는 '소비자 정보', '소비의 경제적 영향', '식생활과 지속가능성', '소비와 지속가능성'이었다. 둘째, '소비생활' 영역을 중심으로 고등학교 기술 가정 교과서와 타 교과(사회, 생활과 윤리)를 분석준거에 따라 내용 분석한 결과, 교과서별 '소비생활' 영역 교육내용의 비중은 기술 가정, 생활과 윤리, 사회 교과서 순으로 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 세 교과서에 공통적으로 포함된 중복 내용 요소는 '식생활관리와 소비환경', '소비욕구', '소비의 경제적 영향', '소비문화의 변화요인과 특징', '소비와 지속가능성'이었다. 가정 교과서의 '소비생활' 영역은 학습자인 청소년 소비자가 실제 일상생활에서 교과 내용을 적용할 수 있도록 소비생활에 대한 구체적인 교육 내용을 다루고 있다는 강점을 지니며 교과 특성상 의식주생활을 포함한 전반적인 '소비생활' 영역을 다루고 있으므로, '소비생활' 영역 교육에 있어서 중심적인 역할을 할 수 있을 것이라고 사료된다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 가정과 교육에서의 '소비생활' 영역 교육은 교육 내용의 학년별 연계성을 고려한 체계적인 단원 내용 구성을 통해 중복 내용 요소를 줄이고, 청소년들이 실제 소비생활에서 발생하는 문제를 해결할 수 있는 능력을 키우고 청소년들이 미래 사회의 합리적인 성인 소비자로 성장할 수 있도록 도움을 주는 '소비생활' 영역 교육이 이루어져야 한다.

Effects of Home Exercise Program and Manual Therapy on Shoulder Function and Quality of Life in Patients with Adhesive Capsulitis

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the effects of home exercise programs and manual therapy on shoulder function and quality of life in patients with adhesive capsulitis. Methods: A total of 31 patients were enrolled in the study. All subjects were randomly assigned to a home exercise group (n=15) or a manual therapy group (n=16). Both groups performed each intervention program three times a week for four weeks. After four weeks, both groups performed a home exercise program continuously until week 12. Shoulder function was evaluated using the Korean Shoulder Scoring (KSS) system, while quality of life was evaluated using the WHO Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) before and 4, 8, and 12 weeks after the intervention. Data were analyzed using two-way repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results: There were significant differences in KSS before intervention and 4, 8, and 12 weeks after intervention for both the home exercise group and manual therapy group (p<0.001). There was also a significant difference in KSS at 4, 8, and 12 weeks when compared to the home exercise group and manual therapy group (p<0.001). Moreover, there was a significant difference in WHOQOL-BREF before and 4, 8, and 12 weeks after intervention in the home exercise group and manual therapy group (p<0.001). Conclusion: Home exercise and manual therapy improved shoulder function, but manual therapy led to a greater improvement in shoulder function better than home exercise. Home exercise and manual therapy improved quality of life, but there was no significant difference between groups.

요양시설 노인의 시설적응을 위한 임파워먼트 프로그램의 효과 (Effects of an Empowerment Program on the Adjustment of Older Adults to Nursing Home Life)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the empowerment intervention on the levels of self-esteem, interpersonal relationships and adjustment to nursing home life of the Korean nursing home residents. Methods: Participants (n=47) whose period of stay was less than one year were purposefully selected from 3 nursing homes in Korea. The experimental group (n=21) attended 10 weekly hour-long empowerment sessions. The empowerment program comprised two components; group education and group discussion. The control group (n=26) received a two-hour education about health management. Results: Compared with the control group, the experimental group showed significantly higher mean scores of selfesteem (t=5.51, p<.001), interpersonal relationships (t=2.73, p=.009) and adjustment to nursing home life (t=2.10, p=.041). Conclusion: Findings of this study suggest that empowerment interventions may be effective in enhancing nursing home residents' self-esteem, interpersonal relationships and adjustment to nursing home life. Future research is needed to determine if such an empowerment program could be used with newly institutionalized elders to speed as well as enhance their adjustment to nursing home life.

디지털 홈의 홈오토메이션 시스템에 대한 거주 후 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Post-Occupancy Evaluation of Home Automation System at Digital Home)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the level of awareness, uses, and satisfaction on home automation systems by the digital home residents, to reveal the existing problems using home automation systems, and to clarify residents' positive or negative life changes after using home automation systems. Two apartment complexes, which were relatively well equipped with home automation systems compared to other recently built apartments, were selected to perform the survey by digital home residents who were housewives and have lived in current home more than 6 months. The researcher developed a survey questionnaire for each apartment complex and collected data from 501 residents from May to June, 2008. The results of the study found low awareness and low uses of remote control systems of electric appliances through a cellular phone or PC from outside. Also, the significant variables which showed group differences in level of uses and satisfation were age, annual income, duration of residence, and level of considering home automation system before decision to move in. The results of the study also revealed that frequent breakdown was the most critical problem using home automation systems. Generally, using home automation systems affected to residents' life changes positively. More findings and suggestions for development of more user-friendly digital home services were discussed.

중학교 남학생에 대한 가정과 교육이 가정생활에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Education on the Attitude of Home Life for the Boy’s in Middle School)

  • The central goal of this study is to find out of the boy students in middle school the attitude towards house life and house-hold affairs of the boys; and explain what will be of their attitude after they have got Home Economics education. For the purpose of this study, 138 questionairs were distributed to the boy students who had educated Home Economics in school and the ones who had not. The results were as follows; 1. The educated group has higher score in ability of house-hold making than the other group. 2. The educated students responed affirmatively to the utility and necessity of Home Economics education. 3. The teachers who have taught Home Economics to male students have opinions that the students needed Home Economics education to increase the ability of doing house-hold work. Accordingly, Home Economics education should be taught to both sexes in order to have good quality of life, and requires more hours to study as well.

가정과에 적용한 양성평등 수업이 고등학생의 남녀평등의식에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Gender Equality Instruction in Home Economic class on the High School Students Consciousness of Gender Equality - focused on the Unit of Design of Home Life -)

  • 본 연구는 고등학교 가정과의 ${\ulcorner}$가정 생활의 설계${\lrcorner}$ 단원을 중심으로 실험수업을 실시하여 양성평등 수업이 고등학생의 남녀평등의식에 미치는 효과를 분석하여 양성평등의식 함양과 양성평등교육의 기초를 마련하고자 하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. ${\ulcorner}$가정 생활의 설계${\lrcorner}$ 단원에서 양성평등 수업 후 남녀평등의식의 가정생활영역, 학교생활영역, 직업생활영역, 사회문화생활영역 모두에서 실험집단이 비교집단보다 남녀평등의식이 더 높게 나타나 두 집단간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 2. ${\ulcorner}$가정 생활의 설계${\lrcorner}$ 단원에서 양성평등 수업 전과 후 실험집단의 남녀평등의식 사후검사가 사전검사보다 높게 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타난 반면 비교집단에서는 사전검사와 사후검사 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 3. ${\ulcorner}$가정 생활의 설계${\lrcorner}$ 단원에서 양성평등 수업 후 남녀평등의식 전체에서 실험집단의 변화량이 비교집단의 변화량보다 높게 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과로 볼 때 고등학교 가정과의 ${\ulcorner}$가정 생활의 설계${\lrcorner}$ 단원에서 실험집단에 적용한 양성평등 수업은 가정생황영역, 학교생활영역, 직업생황영역, 사회문화생황영역 4개 영역 모두 고등학생의 남녀평등의식을 높이는데 효과적이었다. 무의식 속에 내재되어 있는 성차별 의식이 짧은 기간에도 불구하고 효과가 있는 것으로 볼 때, 앞으로 지속적인 지도가 절실히 필요하다.

재가 호스피스환자 가족의 삶의 질과 가족부담과의 관계 (A Study of the Relation between Quality of Life and Family Burden of Home-based Hospice Patient Families)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to analysis relationship about quality of life and family burden of the home-based hospice patient families. Method: The subjects consisted of 94 families with home-based hospice patient. The ages of the subjects were 17-73 years with hospice patient who receivedhome visiting care and registered at 4 hospitals in Daegu and Kyung-Buk. The data was collected from March to November 2004. The instruments used for the study were Quality of Life Scale (GLS) and Family Burden Questionnaire (FBQ). The analysis was done using frequency, mean, standard deviation, correlation and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS WIN 11.0. Results: The results were as follows: 1. The mean score of family burden was 3.36 ($\pm0.55$). The highest mean score of family burden 6 factors were wellness of future 3.85($\pm1.10$), and the second was economic family burden 3.63($\pm0.97$). 2. The mean score of quality of life was 3.09 ($\pm0.48$). The lowest score of quality of life 6 factors were economic status 2.86($\pm0.54$), and the second was physical state and function 3.01($\pm0.62$). 3. In the home-based hospice patient families, family burden had significant negative correlation with quality of life(r=-0.25, p=0.012). 4. Emotional status accounted for 11% of family burden in the home-based hospice patient families by means of stepwise multiple regression. 5. Economical status accounted for 18 and age accounted for an additional 11% of quality of life in the home-based hospice patient families by means of stepwise multiple regression. Conclusion: The finding showed that family burden and quality of life of home-based hospice patient families were significantly negative correlation and the highest factor of family burden was wellness of future and the most important factor of quality of life was economic status.
