We find criteria for symmetrized monomials to be non-hit in the $\mathcal{A}_2$-algebra of symmetric polynomials in three variables, where $\mathcal{A}_2$ is the mod 2 Steenrod algebra.
We extend some results involved the action of the Steenrod operations on monomials and get some corollaries on the hit problem. Then, by multiplying some special matrices, we obtain an efficient tool to compute the action of these operations.
Let Ps := 𝔽2[x1, x2, …, xs] = ⊕n⩾0(Ps)n be the polynomial algebra viewed as a graded left module over the mod 2 Steenrod algebra, ${\mathfrak{A}}$. The grading is by the degree of the homogeneous terms (Ps)n of degree n in the variables x1, x2, …, xs of grading 1. We are interested in the hit problem, set up by F. P. Peterson, of finding a minimal system of generators for ${\mathfrak{A}}$-module Ps. Equivalently, we want to find a basis for the 𝔽2-graded vector space ${\mathbb{F}}_2{\otimes}_{\mathfrak{A}}$ Ps. In this paper, we study the hit problem in the case s = 5 and the degree n = 5(2t - 1) + 6 · 2t with t an arbitrary positive integer.
Fix ℤ/2 is the prime field of two elements and write 𝒜2 for the mod 2 Steenrod algebra. Denote by GLd := GL(d, ℤ/2) the general linear group of rank d over ℤ/2 and by ${\mathfrak{P}}_d$ the polynomial algebra ℤ/2[x1, x2, …, xd] as a connected unstable 𝒜2-module on d generators of degree one. We study the Peterson "hit problem" of finding the minimal set of 𝒜2-generators for ${\mathfrak{P}}_d$. Equivalently, we need to determine a basis for the ℤ/2-vector space $$Q{\mathfrak{P}}_d:={\mathbb{Z}}/2{\otimes}_{\mathcal{A}_2}\;{\mathfrak{P}}_d{\sim_=}{\mathfrak{P}}_d/{\mathcal{A}}^+_2{\mathfrak{P}}_d$$ in each degree n ≥ 1. Note that this space is a representation of GLd over ℤ/2. The problem for d = 5 is not yet completely solved, and unknown in general. In this work, we give an explicit solution to the hit problem of five variables in the generic degree n = r(2t - 1) + 2ts with r = d = 5, s = 8 and t an arbitrary non-negative integer. An application of this study to the cases t = 0 and t = 1 shows that the Singer algebraic transfer of rank 5 is an isomorphism in the bidegrees (5, 5 + (13.20 - 5)) and (5, 5 + (13.21 - 5)). Moreover, the result when t ≥ 2 was also discussed. Here, the Singer transfer of rank d is a ℤ/2-algebra homomorphism from GLd-coinvariants of certain subspaces of $Q{\mathfrak{P}}_d$ to the cohomology groups of the Steenrod algebra, $Ext^{d,d+*}_{\mathcal{A}_2}$ (ℤ/2, ℤ/2). It is one of the useful tools for studying these mysterious Ext groups.
The accident fatality rate has decreased by more than 90% compared to 2006, due to the safety management and safety investment based on the Rail Safety Act. Most railway safety indicators, including fatality rates, have improved significantly from 60% to 80%, reaching the level of developed countries in terms of most railway safety indicators. However, the only staff fatality rate at work is not improved, and it is 3 to 5 times higher than that of developed countries. Most of the fatality occurred during employee's work recently occurred due to accidents hit by train while track work. In principle, when operating track need to check or maintenance, the operation of the train should be stopped and the work carried out. However, in Korea, due to the highest passenger density and train operating density in the world, it is caused by a structural problem that requires workers to enter the track while the train is running and perform various tasks such as maintenance and inspection. In this study, we analyzed the risk of accidents caused by hit by trains on the track, which is the biggest cause of staff fatality, using the main statistics of the last 10 years. In detail, the scenarios of the main causes of hit by trains and workers were formed to suggest the effectiveness of the current preventive measures and supplementary.
Low doses of ionizing radiation from external or internal sources cause heterogeneous distribution of energy deposition events in the exposed biological system. With the cell being the individual element of the tissue system, the fraction of cells hit, the dose received by the hit, and the biological response of the cell to the dose received eventually determine the effect in tissue. The hit cell may experience detriment, such as change in its DNA leading to a malignant transformation, or it may derive benefit in terms of an adaptive response such as a temporary improvement of DNA repair or temporary prevention of effects from intracellular radicals through enhanced radical detoxification. These responses are protective also to toxic substances that are generated during normal metabolism. Within a multicellular system, the probability of detriment must be weighed against the probability of benefit through adaptive responses with protection against various toxic agents including those produced by normal metabolism. Because irradiation can principally induce both, detriment and adaptive responses, one type of affected cells may not be simply summed up at the expense of cells with other types of effects, in assessing risk to tissue. An inventory of various types of effects in the blood forming system of mammals, even with large ranges of uncertainty, uncovers the possibility of benefit to the system from exposure to low doses of low LET radiation. This experimental approach may complement epidemiological data on individuals exposed to low doses of ionizing radiation and may lead to a more rational appraisal of risk.
본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 새로운 퍼지적합도 기반의 트랜스코딩 프록시 FRTP(Fuzzy Relevance-based Transcoding Proxy) 메커니즘을 제안한다. FRTG는 분할된 미디어 객체 세그먼트 버전들에 대한 트랜스코딩을 결정하게 되며, 결정된 트랜스코딩은 세그먼트 버전들 사이의 지연절약율 DSR(Delay Saving Ratios), 캐시 히트 정확률 CHPR(Cache Hit Precision Ratio), 그리고 캐시 히트 재현율 CHRR(Cache Hit Recall Ratio)을 향상시키게 된다.
Artificial Neural Networks(ANN) have been successfully applied to various kinds of business and engineering problems, especially those involved in pattern classification. However, because of the lack of design standard or guidelines, the structure of specific ANN depends on the designer's own experiments or choices. In other words, even though we could construct a better ANN, we often steeled down with just a satisfactory ANN. The purpose of this research is to apply the Genetic Algorithm(GA) to design a structure of ANN that yields better performance compared to the existing test results. For a bankruptcy prediction problem. an exiting research using ANN which consists of 22 input processing elements(PEs) for financial ratios and 5 hidden PEs showed 70% hit ratio. In our research, the input financial ratios and the number of hidden PEs are determined by GA. The best ANN, which consists of 8 input PEs and 6 hidden PEs, shows 78.03% hit ratio. In addition, we compare the performance of two types of reproduction schemes, i.e., generational reproduction and steady-state reproduction.
Personal mobility, which was used exclusively for leisure activities, has recently been used as a means of transportation, and it is expected to increase its role as the next generation transportation. Sales of personal mobility are increasing rapidly, but the problem is that traffic accidents are also increasing. In this study, human body injury caused by various collisions between electric wheel users and road users that occur on bicycle or pedestrian roads mainly used by personal mobility is analyzed through collision analysis and collision risk analysis. In the case of the collision accident for electric wheel, it is analyzed that the road users are more likely to be injured on the pedestrian road than the bicycle road. In addition, the head hit each other or fall and hit the floor caused severe head injury.
