역사드라마는 왜 로맨스를 필요로 하는가 -<미스터 션샤인>(2018)을 중심으로 (Why Does Historical Drama Need Romance? -Focused on the Television Drama Mr. Sunshine)

  • 역사드라마에서 기록의 중요성이 약화되면서 다른 장르와의 결합 양상이 두드러지고 있다. 이 논문에서는 역사드라마에서 로맨스가 다루어지는 방식을 살펴봄으로써 역사드라마가 취택하는 역사적 사건의 속성과 사랑의 모티프가 어떻게 연관되는지, 그리고 사랑과 연애의 서사가 역사효과에 어떤 기여를 하는지 <미스터 션샤인>을 중심으로 고찰하였다. <미스터 션샤인>은 김은숙 작가가 처음으로 쓴 역사드라마로, 의도적으로 재배치된 역사와 김은숙 작가 특유의 로맨스 문법이 결합되어 있다. 드라마에 등장하는 실패한 의병 운동은 자기부정성에 기반 한 이루어질 수 없는 사랑과 병치된다. 일본 제국주의의 폭압성과 조선의 독립을 다루고 있는 이 드라마는 주요 인물과 사건을 허구적으로 배치하여 사랑의 욕망을 애국에 대한 정념으로 비약시킨다. <미스터 션샤인>에서 로맨스는 역사적 사건의 비극성을 강조하는 촉매 역할을 하며 문화적 기억을 재구성한다. 역사드라마에서 로맨스라는 가공의 플롯은 과거에서 미래로 흐르는 역사 속에 놓인 인간의 삶을 성찰하도록 이끈다. 개인의 내밀한 감정은 역사의 재현에 어떤 기여를 하는가. 이 논문은 역사드라마와 로맨스의 관련 양상을 다각도로 살펴보고자 하는 첫 시도로 의의를 가진다.

TV 사극 연개소문과 태왕사신기에 표현된 갑주유형 분석 - 고구려시대 갑주를 중심으로 - (An Analysis of the Types of Panoplies in the TV Dramas Yeongaesomun and Taewangsasin-gi - Focusing on the Panoplies of the Goguryeo Dynasty -)

  • The purpose of this study was to know how helmet and armor was reinterpreted in historical play by considering general concept and type of old helmet and armor from the aspect of costume history and comparing the helmet and armor types of TV historical plays, Yeongaesomun and Taewangsasingi, whose historical backgrounds were based on the age of Goguryeo. The helmet and armor type shown in Yeongaesomun was reinterpreted as the one, which is close to historical investigation, by reappearing lamellar armor and jongjangpanju(helmet made of slim, long plate) shown in Goguryeo wall painting. The helmet and armor type shown in Taewangsasingi expresses fantastic helmet and armor by adding fantastic factor regardless of historical investigation. The study result reveals that there are several common characteristic factors between the helmet and armors of two historical plays. First, there was a classification in the display of character and story. The helmet and armor type shown in Yeongaesomun classified color and detail design depending on lamellar armor or character. In Taewangsasingi, the helmet and armor was manufactured depending on character's nature and the chain armors, which are lighter than existing helmet and armors, were usual. Second, they escaped from the historical investigation about traditional helmet and armor. In Yeongaesomun, myeonggwangae(a type of armor), which might be popular, was not expressed and Taewangsasingi is free from an imperative idea of historical investigation by manufacturing helmet and armor referring to that of ancient Rome age. The modern sense was reflected to increase dramatic effect. The helmet and armor of Yeongaesomun provides modern feeling by using stainless steel material and modern color arrangement and that of Taewangsasingi is designed in modern, splendid way as it aimed at game development from the planning step.

역사적 건조물의 화재안전을 위한 기초연구 (A Study on the Fire-Safety Design for the Historic Buildings)

  • Fire was and remains a great threat to historic buildings of wood. This threat is omnipresent and often results to irreparable property losses especially cultural heritages. Fire of historic buildings continues to increase every year. The purpose of this study is to preserve a life safety, historical heritage and architectural & cultural values by pursuing for fire safety in the historical buildings. This study shall employ two research methods: a literature review and field survey methods. The literature review shall focus on the observations of characteristics noted in fire codes. The field survey shall cover a heat analysis and fire protection equipment. A method is proposed to investigate fire codes related historical building, reported fire history Fire Codes and Regulations for modern buildings are not always applicable on the historic buildings. Old buildings, and some new buildings with architectural, historical or cultural importance may have values which cannot be measured on a monetary scale. Their protection against the damage caused by fire is considered to be one of the basic moral duties of society. It is strongly recommended, therefore, legislation for fire safety in historical buildings must be extended to a complementary relationship with 'active' fire protection measures, to provide safety in real historical building in real fire situations. The development and application of performance based Codes and the Fire Safety Engineering approach seems to be a rather reasonable and effective way to deal with this historical buildings.

한국 복식사의 방법-30년의 회고를 겸하여- (On the Method of History of Korean Costume)

  • The purpose of this paper is to explore a new methodology for the historiography of Korean cos-tumes. In particular, I focus on the possibility for systematic, historical methods appropriate for the history of Korean costumes. First, I characterize the general historiography of costumes as involving two aspects-one as the social science and the other as historical science(Geschichteswissenschaft). My contention is that any historical study of costume should be established on the intersection of social and historical studies, and their entangling relations with many a neighboring field of sciences. It requires in other words, an interdisciplinary approach that combines various methodologies of social sciences as well as those of history. Second, I present an overall review of the historical methodology with a special emphasis on the“Quellenkunde”of orthodox historiography. Building on the review, third, I pay attention to recent innovations in historical methodologies, such as“New History”that draws on history, sociology and social history, and their applicability to the history of Korean costmes. In this regards. I adress among others, the following theoretical perspectives : 1) comparioson and comparative history, 2) the formatived and paternal approaches toward the history of costume, 3) particulartiy and universality of Korean costume. I conclued that the history of Korean costumes should broaden its theoretical horizon in order to accomodate a wider range of research agenda, including costumes of neighboring cultures, while remaining sensitive to new theories and methods of the neighboring social historical sciences. For this purpose, it is emphasized that an international collaboration among researchers of the region, as well as that across the different disciplinnary boundaries, is indispensable for successful studies that can embrace diverse fields and areas.

  • 건설공사를 수행하는데 있어 초기 프로젝트 계획에 대한 중요성이 널리 인식되어 지고 있다. 프로젝트와 관련된 방대한 양의 실적자료들이 초기 계획단계에서부터 활용될 수 있다면, 프로젝트의 전체 범위와 비용견적을 비교적 정확하게 예측할 수 있는 중요한 원천이 될 것이다. 그러나, 공사 실적자료들의 축적, 분석, 활용의 정도가 미비하여 상당한 양의 유용한 정보들이 쉽게 사장되거나 적용되지 못한 채 보유되고 있다. 이런 문제점을 개선하기 위해서는 건설사업 참여자들이 획득한 수많은 양의 실적자료들을 유용한 지식으로 획득, 저장, 공유, 활용할 수 있는 체계적, 종합적인 실적자료관리시스템을 개발하여 관리할 필요성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 기술적 흐름과 병행하여, 현재 건설공사의 실적자료들을 효과적으로 관리하여 유사프로젝트에 유용하게 이용하고자 한다

현대 대중과 역사 : 역사를 소재로 한 영상매체와 '리인액트먼트(Reenactment Activity)'를 중심으로 (Morden People and History : in terms of Historical Media and Reenactment Activity)

  • 최근 역사를 소재로 한 영상매체가 사람들의 관심을 많이 끌고 있다. 특히 역사드라마와 영화를 통해서 사람들은 역사에 친숙함을 느끼고 있다. 본고에서는 역사드라마와 영화의 특징을 간단히 보고, 그 한계와 비판점을 생각해보고자 한다. 또한 최근 소수의 사람들이지만 인기를 얻고 있는 리인액트먼트에 대해 간단히 알아보고 그 특징과 한계 및 비판점을 살펴보고 양 측의 관계에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 리인액트먼트를 우리말로 옮기면 '역사재현'이다. 역사재현이란 당대의 사건이나 생활상, 전투 등을 그대로 재현하는 것으로, 기본적으로 참여자는 여기에 관심이 있는 일반인들이 주를 이룬다. 역사교육에서 이러한 영상매체와 리인액트먼트 활동은 현대 대중의 관심 속에서 역사를 대중화하고 친근하게 만드는 역할을 하고 있다. 리인액트먼트는 역사드라마나 영화에 있어서 발생하는 몇 가지 제약을 해결하는데 우선적으로 비용적인 문제에서 큰 절감 효과를 노릴 수 있을 것이다.

러시아 기록물 분류체계의 발전 러시아국립역사기록보존소(RGIA)를 중심으로 (Historical Development of Russian Principle on Arrangement and Classification Archives : In Case of Russian State Historical Archive(RGIA))

  • Russian State Historical Archive (Rossiiskii gosudarstvennyi istoricheskii arkhiv - RGIA) received its present name in June 1992, and before 1961 was known as TsGIA. RGIA holds the major records of high-level and central state and administrative institutions and agencies of tsarist Russia from the eighteenth century to 1910s (except the records of the Army, Navy, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), as well as fonds of social organizations, institutions, and individuals of prerevolutionary Russia. The main goal of this article is to assist understanding russian principle on arrangement and classification archives with its historical development focusing on one of the biggest historical archive in Russia. The primary set of historical records in RGIA remain arranged in 3-steps classification system: fond (collection) -- opis' (inventory) -- delo (file). In this general survey of RGIA author offers detailed information on the collection of archives and the system for classification of its huge amounts of primary sources in connection with influence upon historical studies. Despite the general economic crisis Russian archives are struggling to keep their doors open for public research and are exerting their energies in present electronic information to scholars and other researchers from throughout the world. The result, however, is not rewarded enough, considering the effort involved.

Digitalization System of Historical Hanja Documents using Mahalanobis Distance-based Rejection

  • In Korea, there exists a large corpus of handwritten historical documents that serve as a valuable resource. Most of them are hand-written by the King's chroniclers and secretaries. Recently, the historical archives of Lee dynasty have been digitalized. Since it is extremely difficult to utilize conventional OCR system, most of the processes have been performed manually. In this paper, we propose OCR-based digitalization system using Mahalanobis distance-based rejection and interface for eye inspection about historical Hanja documents. Compared with our previous work, experimental results show that the proposed system can help enhancing the overall efficiency of the process.

영화 <셰익스피어 인 러브>에 나타난 시대적 배경과 영상의 재현 - 르네상스시대의 공연예술과 초기자본주의 사회상을 중심으로 (The Historical Backdrop and Reproduction of the Image in the Film )

  • A movie which brought its material from a historical character or incidents in the past was produced by a story suggestion through a historical fact. It is because Shakespeare created a story based on a mythical element related with his life in the plot which was written from the script of the play and was on the show in the cinemas of London. It is an obvious fact that the historical drama of this movie was intentionally modified and the fictional story was added to episodes in order to create a dramatic effect. However, reflecting historical backgrounds and cultural aspects accurately through a historical study would also be an important factor. Therefore, the backgrounds and aspects presented in this movie are a kind of storytelling which was reconstructed as if a historian added his opinion to historical facts like a discourse. A historical background in was a story about Shakespeare who worked at the theater in London as a writer in 1593 the period of England Reneissance. The movie included the working and playwriting of Shakespeare who is a main character. This indicated not only the environment of the theater and literature during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I but also historical aspect in the early modern industrial society in England. This movie, that is, described that time as a recreation such as a cultural acceptance and an achievement of an initial capitalism in Renaissance in the life of characters. In particular, the factor of theaters flourishing during the Renaissance was because a newly emerging class, bourgeoisie, who held the capital emerging from a policy for middle class led to a box office hit through founding theaters and drama company and selling tickets and performing plays by themselves. Like this, the movie depicted the time led by plays to a industrialization. Moreover, Social aspects in the late 1500s were revealed in this movie through a depiction of the cinemas and the city of London. The depiction of the city of London reflected a social situation of an initial capitalism rapidly developed in trade and commerce. The social aspects such as conflicts between social classes based on getting richer and poorer, mammonism, a corrupted love between the male and the female, a immortality with growing brothels, religious and political conflicts with the foundation of the church in England were closely linked with characters' daily routine at that time in London and were reflected in this work overall. The reason why we highlight characters' job and custom like this in the movie is that these are ideationally inherent in a critical mind from people at that moment. The historical background and reproduction of the image depicted in the movie were focused on characters' daily routine and indicated the problem mentally and independently exposed in the form of initial capitalism.

탈역사 서술과 공간의 표상 - 영화 <군중낙원>을 중심으로 (Post-Historical Description and Spatial Attribute - Focusing on the Movie Paradise in Service -)

  • 이 글은 특정 시기 타이완의 현대사를 다룬 영화 <군중낙원>의 영화적 서사 구축방식과 탈역사적 서술 양상에 대해 고찰한 것이다. <군중낙원>은 어떠한 시대를 배경으로 하고 있지만 역사적 사건의 의미를 보여준다거나 공식 역사적 담론 속에서 과거를 해석하려 하기 보다는, 그 시대를 살아간 인간들의 고뇌와 아픔에 주목하는 서술적 특징을 갖고 있다. 즉 거대 역사 서술적 맥락에서 서사를 구성하거나 리얼리즘적 관점에서 진지함을 견지한 성찰적 태도로 현실을 바라보려는 영화적 태도에서 벗어났다. 때문에 이전 시기 타이완 뉴웨이브 영화들과는 다른 면모를 갖게 되었고 역사 서술 텍스트로서 탈역사적 논의에 의해 새로운 담론장을 구축할 수 있는 가능성을 갖게 되었다. 그러나 이 영화는 탈역사적 서술을 위한 하나의 방식으로 공창이라는 특수한 공간을 통한 판타지를 창조하려 했다. 뉴청저는 영화 속에서 공창을 국가 권력과 시대 배경하에 억압당한 남성을 위로하는 곳으로 묘사했지만 남성들을 위해 희생되는 여성의 공간으로 그리진 않았다. 따라서 이 영화가 시대와 역사적 비극에 의해 곤경에 처한 보편적인 인간들의 미시적 역사를 복원시키려 했다면, 그 대상은 남성에만 해당되는 것이지 또 다른 약자인 여성은 배제하고 있음을 볼 수 있다. 이에 <군중낙원>은 영화의 재현에 의해 역사와 시대에 관한 서술이 어떻게 공식 역사적 담론과 집단의 기억을 균열내고 개개인의 서사에 주목하여 어떻게 새로운 역사를 쓸 수 있는지 그 일례를 보여준다는 점에서 의의를 갖고 있지만 동시에 남성중심주의적 서술에서는 벗어나지 못했다는 한계를 낳고 있다.
