This study explores sustainability education in textile and apparel (T&A) programs in U.S. higher education institutions. Specifically, the researchers study whether more courses with sustainability focus are offered in higher-ranked institutions and explore whether sustainability is taught more in specific T&A related subject fields. Content analysis was conducted for 3,200 courses found in online course catalogs or the course information sites of 69 institutions. Institutions were selected from the 2015 rankings of the top 50 fashion design and top 50 fashion merchandising schools in the US on www.fashion-schools.org. All cases were coded by two coders with a Cohen's Kappa score of 97.5%, indicating good interrater reliability. Coded data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and t-tests. The findings show that sustainability is being integrated into the curricula and across courses of T&A programs in the U.S. Over half of the institution surveyed offered at least one sustainability embedded course. Higher ranked institutions provided more sustainability-related courses than power-ranked institutions. A natural match between the subject field and specific sustainability theme was observed (e.g., cultural diversity in history/culture and social psychology/education; recycle/reuse in textile science; sustainability in fashion design; social responsibility and ethics in industry/consumer). The need to introduce sustainability in courses holistically is discussed, whereby sustainability within the industry supply chain is examined in a connected way.

The purpose of this research was to find out attitudes toward work and leisure in later life and intention to move to senior community available to work among 50's in Pusan, Daegu, and Daejeon. The survey had been conducted in 414 respondents with questionnaire during May to June, 2003. Frequency, Crosstabs, T-test and ANOVA were obtained from the collected data using SPSS/WIN program. The results of this study were as follows. First, most respondents were preparing toward work in later life somewhat actively and the level of preparation differed by individual characteristics. Those who have higher level of education and subjective economic power were more active. The most preferred work item in later life were raising animals and plants, managing institution and training center and running shop. Those who have higher level of education and asset preferred managing institution and training center. Second, nearly three fourths of middle-aged have chosen leisure activities in consideration of later life and two thirds were preparing economically for leisure in later life. They have strong intention to participate in the leisure activity in later life and they also wanted to take part in various kinds of leisure activities. Those who have higher levels of education, subjective economic power, health and asset were more active in preparing leisure in later life. Third, over two thirds preferred to live and work in later life together with others rather than to live and work alone. Nearly half had intention to move to the senior community where work was available. The intention to move were differed by attitudes to work and leisure in later life. Those who were active in work and leisure in later life presented higher intention to move to senior community available work.

To identify and experimentally test the effectiveness of organizational and pedagogical conditions affecting the creative self-development of a distance learning student. Research methods: analysis of philosophical and psychological-pedagogical literature on the problem under study; pedagogical experiment; modeling, questioning, testing, analysis of the products of students' creative activity (essays, creative works, creative projects) and the implementation of educational tasks, conversations, observations.

Total Quality Management(TQM) in Higher Education Institution(HEI) has been popular since early 1980s. Implementation of TQM, however, has not been easy. The difficulties of the implementation is partially due to the lack of effective TQM models in HEIs. This paper proposed a new model based on PDCA cycle. The paper consists of four chapters. First chapter Introduces the status of TQM in HEIs and implementation problems. Second chapter delineates the models used in HEIs. In third chapter, a new model is suggested. Last chapter is the conclusions.

In modern society, the organization of the educational process plays an important role in education. Traditionally, it is through communication and dialogue between the teacher and the student that professional competence is acquired. As society develops, the demand in the global labor market changes and the requirements and criteria for specialists increase. Therefore, a new approach to managing the pedagogical interaction between a teacher and a student in the process of education in a higher educational institution allows a positive impact on the system of training specialists and opens up new prospects for the formation of competitive specialists. The issue of the quality of education is a key one and is covered in the documents regulating the process of educational activities. Also an important problem today is the transition to qualitatively new and innovative systems of training specialists and the departure from outdated models of managing pedagogical interaction in higher education institutions. The process of managing the pedagogical interaction between a teacher and a student is one of the most important for studying in the context of higher education. Thus, the main task of the study is to analyze the role of communication and dialogue during studies in higher education. The global process of transition from industrial to information society, as well as socio-economic changes taking place in Ukraine, require significant changes in many areas of state activity. It is especially connected with the reforms in the sphere of education. Today, national programs provide for the development of education on the basis of new progressive concepts, the introduction of the educational process of new pedagogical technologies and scientific achievements, the creation of a new system of information education, entrance of Ukaine into the transcontinental computer information system. Information technologies are qualitatively changing the key resources of development: this is no longer a space with fixed production, but primarily mobile finance and intelligence. They have a direct impact on the formation of personal growth, professional content and self-organization, emotional and psychological maturity and consciousness, and so on. One of the main factors in ensuring the stability and social education of the country's citizens is the culture of security, the formation and development of which is an urgent problem today. Comprehensive and systematic development of security culture will significantly increase the readiness of the population, the level of environmental, labor and patriotic education, reduce human losses, material damage from emergencies. Ecological education can be carried out more successfully only gradually and in accordance with the socio-psychological periods of one's development: kindergarten - school - college - university. The creation of such a system of environmental education should be enshrined as the basis of state environmental policy as a constitutional norm with the usage of information technology. Graduates of universities, who are the future of our country, after mastering the skills of basic environmental education must have a high level of environmental culture, which is, in turn, part of general human culture, and investigate environmental issues from the standpoint of their profession. It is known that with the help of environmental education the collective intelligence of society is formed, which can predict human activities and processes occurring in nature, and in some way to help with the elimination of crises. It is through environmental education that another system of human values is being formed, which places great emphasis on intangible wealth and solidarity, and great responsibility of humanity for the ecological state of the native country; provides a higher standard of living as a result of sustainable development, through the introduction of information technology in this system. To improve the quality of life, we need better knowledge, which must be implemented through information technology at the international level.

The study uses an innovative management perspective to investigate the environment of higher education institutions to ensure the survival of universities in Cambodia. This has led Cambodian universities to expand their educational offerings to students in Years 2, 3 and 4. The data was collected through a Google Forms survey to facilitate and accelerate data collection. The sample of 500 students come from three higher education institution by employing multi-stage sampling technique of probability and non-probability sampling methods to ensure representation of the research population. The data were analyzed by using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Model (SEM) to investigate the impact of these determinants on students' satisfaction and loyalty, via answering 54 questions. The results showed that the three Cambodian universities perform well in terms of satisfactory conditions such as transformative quality and university image. There are four issues to which universities need to pay attention, namely, teaching methods, infrastructure facilities, learning material, and academic environment that are yet to meet the needs of students. This study contributes to the principle of innovative management in the context of Cambodian academic environment. The results help to fathom the depth of enhancing quality and institutional survival.

The article considers general tendencies in world and education, and also both principles and methods of forming professional, communicative, intercultural competences and in the process of teaching foreign language for professional purposes in the conditions of engineering, economic and other non-linguistic specialties at technical university. The article views some essential issues of this competence including awareness of pedagogical values, the construction of the pedagogical process, pedagogical communication and behavior; pedagogical technology, its essence, structural components, understanding of innovative components of professional activity, requirements for the design and engineering of pedagogical technologies.

중국의 독립학원은 민간의 교육투자를 인정하여 투자자 개인이나 기업, 사회의 지원 자금 활용을 용이하게 하고, 학교의 학사 운영, 학생 입학전형, 예산의 집행 및 관리, 별도의 법인 설립 및 학력 인정 등에 대해서 국가 주도로 설립된 공립대학과 다르게 사립대학인 민판학교 방식으로 자율적인 운영을 보장하는 등 중국내의 고등교육기관의 다양성을 갖추고자 하는 목적으로 설립되었다. 하지만 1990년대 초반 이후 중국 고등교육의 새로운 방식으로서 나타나게 된 독립학원은 지난 30여년의 시간 동안 양적인 성장을 이루었음에도 아직 교육의 질적 측면에서의 성장은 미흡한 상황이다. 중국의 독립학원이 관심을 받는 이유는, 독립학원이 모체 대학(母體)의 시설과 교수, 개설된 전공에서 지원을 받고 대학의 명성을 공유하는 등 대학 자체의 발전을 위한 노력보다는 학생 모집에 중점을 두는 방식으로 운영한다는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 중국의 독특한 고등교육기관인 독립학원의 현황과 관련한 정책을 분석하고자 하였다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 다차원 교육정책분석 모형을 활용하여, 규범적 차원으로 중국의 독립학원 정책의 영리성 문제와 중국인의 차서격국(差序格局) 중심의 ?시(關係) 문화를, 구조적 차원으로 독립학원 관련 정부기관 구조, 국유민판의 운영구조를, 구성적 차원으로 중국의 독립학원 이해관계자의 속성을, 기술적 차원으로 독립학원 정책과 법제화 과정을 살펴보고자 하였다. 분석 결과를 통해 중국의 독립학원 정책의 방향성에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

The paper proposes to consider information technologies and their application in the educational process as a preparation of presentation material for students of higher educational institutions. The definition and place of information technologies in the educational space are considered. The object of research of this work is the pedagogical technology of presentation of educational information, which substantiates the pedagogical technology of visualization of educational information in higher education, as well as determine its composition and structure. The practical side of pedagogical technology of educational information presentation is considered.
