  • Telecommunication cost have been increasing successively in Korean hoseholds and its level is high now. Even though here are a lot of issues related to the high bill of mobile telecommunication services, plausible solutions have not been provided yet. 99% of Koreans use mobile phones and it is the highest rate in the world, but bill is relatively high. This situation may be brought by the government policy selection that it supports three mobile telecom companies systems. Thus least efficient company should be supported to sustain by pricing policy and MVNO cannot come into the market. The government can make mobile pricing system consider revenue and cost only in proper manner and constrain marketing cost in the rational level. And it can reduce mobile bill levels and selection rights of consumers by restraining too much complicated bill system. Fairness of mobile phone bill levels could be achieves by mobile telecommunication structure improvement through active MVNOs and reduction of excessive marketing costs. Mobile bills can be made more acceptable if the base is measured rate system.

  • A promising telecommunication system so called IMT-2000 is forecasted to cover almost 50 percent of telecommunication services, which will be provided in the beginning of the year 2000. The system offers high quality service such as data, image, and video as well as voice. UPT, which offers the personal mobility, is recognized as an important service because we can bind a variety of wire or wireless networks as single number. This paper discusses the design of IMT-2000 MSC based on AIN and UPT service in the MSC. First, we propose the system structure of the IMP-2000 MSC, as a platform of UPT service implementation. Based on this, we define main functions and its blocks of the IMP-2000 MSC. Third, we present the structure of SSF and Its operational mechanism to support the IN services such as UPT. Finally, we present the detail UPT service implementation for the IMP-2000 MSC through the design of UPT call flows between software blocks, which are the minimum units, within the IMPt-2000 MSC.

  • Recently, the researches to explain Switching Behavior through Theory of Planned Behavior have been discovered. Many researches say that System factors of mobile telecommunication service(MTS) is positively associated with Switching Intention. But There is no difference of system factors between mobile telecommunication services because of IT technique Development. Thus, this study investigated whether switching cost and alternative's attractiveness influence switching intention concerning mobile telecommunication service by adopting Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as an underlying theoretical premise. The study also attempted to determine the moderating effects of personal innovativeness on switching intention. For these purposes the author has developed several hypotheses as follows: H-1. The switching cost of different MTS is associated with the attitude of MTS which is using. H-2. The switching cost of different MTS is associated with the subjective norm of MTS which is using. H-3. The switching cost of different MTS is associated with the perceived behavior control of MTS which is using. H-4. The alternative's attractiveness of different MTS is associated with the attitude of MTS which is using. H-5. The alternative's attractiveness of different MTS is associated with the subjective norm of MTS which is using. H-6. The alternative's attractiveness of different MTS is associated with the perceived behavior control of MTS which is using. H-7. The switching cost of different MTS is associated with the switching intention. H-8. The alternative's attractiveness of different MTS is associated with the switching intention. H-9. The attitude of MTS is associated with the switching intention. H-10. The subjective norm of MTS is associated with the switching intention. H-11. The perceived behavior control of MTS is associated with the switching intention. H-12. The personal innovativeness has been a moderating effects to switching intention. Data has been collected from 403 respondents for this study using a questionnaire method. The survey for the actual analysis of the research was done and analyzed with the customers who have an experience of using Mobile telecommunication service and the samples were selected among the middle and high school students who live in Seoul area, the university students who live in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Chungcheng Provinces, and the ordinary workers who are working in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. • Recently there are increasing needs for Internet and various kinds of contents. These traffics for various contents need more amount of data to provide high-quality information and require various QoS depending on the characteristics of contents. However, current Internet service supports BE (Best Effort) service only, therefore IntServ (Integrated Service) scheme and DiffSserv (Differentiated Service) scheme are represented to support QoS in IP layer. This paper describes new scheme that provides QoS taking into account the traffic characteristics over Mobile IPv6 network based on IEEE 802.11e by decreasing signal process time using traffic class of DiffServ and evaluates the performance through computer simulation.

  • Nowadays communication network is steadily changing from a main body of telephone to a network which is creating new services such as multimedia etc. Jhis article introduces a bud of new service and new network which are able to sustain the above service. Including Korea, world advanced countries have been digitatizing their network with N-ISDN (narrowband ISDN) by e.g. 64K b/s and 1.5M b/s. New service by N-ISDN are extraordinary, though it can not solve all kinds of services. To solve these problems, a solving platform should be constituted. B-ISDN(broadband ISDN), as a platform has to be built to deal with almost all uinds of services, whatever the communication speed, communication mode or communication quality may be. Korea Telecommunication Authority(KTA) opened the narrowband ISDN(N-ISDN) at the end of 1993. This was one step previous opening of the broadband ISDN(B-ISDN) service scheduled to be rendered in 2001. B-ISDN, receiving and transmitting by far more information with high speed than the N-NSDN does, is one of G-7 Progects which the Korean government is driving foreward to raise the national scientific power to seven advan ced countries. This is also linked with an extremely high speed information network scheduled to be built by the Ministry of Communications in 2015.

  • The Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) paradigm equips network edge telecommunication infrastructure with cloud computing resources. It seeks to transform the edge into an IT services platform for hosting resource-intensive and delay-stringent services for mobile users, thereby significantly enhancing perceived service quality of experience. However, erratic user mobility impedes seamless service continuity as well as satisfying delay-stringent service requirements, especially as users roam farther away from the serving MEC resource, which deteriorates quality of experience. This work proposes a deep reinforcement learning based service mobility management approach for ensuring seamless migration of service instances along user mobility. The proposed approach focuses on the problem of selecting the optimal MEC resource to host services for high mobility users, thereby reducing service migration rejection rate and enhancing service availability. Efficacy of the proposed approach is confirmed through simulation experiments, where results show that on average, the proposed scheme reduces service delay by 8%, task computing time by 36%, and migration rejection rate by more than 90%, when comparing to a baseline scheme.

  • In this paper, we present an abstract object-oriented plat-form model .suitable for the real-time distributed telecommunication system. The proposed platform is constructed upon the extended version of the real-time, distributed operating system, SROS(Scalable Real-time Operating System), that is developed at ETRI and successfully operated in the ATM switching system for several years. The object-oriented software development and maintenance methodology will resolve the current software crisis in the area of telecommunication and switching systems due to the everlasting maintenance about the huge amount of the existing software and the ever increasing needs for the better and new communication services. In general, an object-oriented software platform realizes the object-oriented methodology and possesses many good aspects like high productivity, better reusability, easy maintenance, et at. The platform is also designed to present the distributed multimedia service in addition to real-time event delivery. Recently, we have been implementing a couple of prototype bated on the proposed platform. Reflecting the evaluation results from these prototypes, the final platform specification will be determined.
