  • To study of high volume fly -ash concrete replace cement and fine aggregate together. Proportion consideration economy cost and performance improve replacement high volume fly-ash.   • Cost-volume-profit analysis shows the relationship between these factors. The figures expressed in a break-even chart can be used planning control and decision making. The relation ships can also be helpful in understanding how all costs must be covered in menu pricing. Involved in these relationship is the contribution to overhead and profit, or contribution ratio. This study used the food service operation of H hotel. Assumed the FC would be 10% of the High Volume, the VC would be 76% of the high volume. And in the CVP of individual meals, selected labor cost of the VC, assumed labor cost would be 35% of the volume.

비스플라인 부피에 기초한 유동 가시화 모델 (Flow Visualization Model Based on B-spline Volume)

  • Scientific volume visualization addresses the representation, manipulation, and rendering of volumetric data sets, providing mechanisms for looking closely into structures and understanding their complexity and dynamics. In the past several years, a tremendous amount of research and development has been directed toward algorithms and data modeling methods for a scientific data visualization. But there has been very little work on developing a mathematical volume model that feeds this visualization. Especially, in flow visualization, the volume model has long been required as a guidance to display the very large amounts of data resulting from numerical simulations. In this paper, we focus on the mathematical representation of volumetric data sets and the method of extracting meaningful information from the derived volume model. For this purpose, a B-spline volume is extended to a high dimensional trivariate model which is called as a flow visualization model in this paper. Two three-dimensional examples are presented to demonstrate the capabilities of this model.

플라이애시 치환율 및 압축강도에 따른 콘크리트의 부착 거동 (Bond Behavior of Concrete According to Replacement Ratio of Fly Ash and Compressive Strength of Concrete)

  • 현재까지 하이볼륨 플라이애시 콘크리트의 연구는 슬럼프, 강도 및 내구성 등 기본적인 재 료성질에 대해서 주로 수행되어 왔다. 그러나 하이볼륨 플라이애시 콘크리트의 구조부재에의 적용을 위해서는 철근의 사용이 필수적이므로 그 부착특성에 대한 연구가 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있으나, 현재까지는 하이볼륨 플라이애시 콘크리트를 구조부재에 적용하기 위한 정확한 기준이나 콘크리트와 철근의 부착 특성에 관한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 직접 인발 시험을 수행하여 하이볼륨 플라이애시 시멘트 콘크리트의 부착특성을 파악하고, 실험결과와 기존 연구결과를 비교하여 하이볼륨 플라이애시 시멘트 콘크리트의 부착특성을 평가하였다. 실험결과에 의하면, 하이볼륨 플라이애시 시멘트 콘크리트의 부착거동은 일반콘크리트와 유사하게 거동하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 기존 연구결과와 비교하면, 하이볼륨 플라이애시 콘크리트의 부착강도는 묻힘길이가 클수록 부착강도를 과소평가하는 것으로 나타났다.

관상동맥우회로술 환자의 위험도에 따른 수술량과 병원내 사망의 관련성 (Does a Higher Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery Volume Always have a Low In-hospital Mortality Rate in Korea?)

  • Objectives: To propose a risk-adjustment model with using insurance claims data and to analyze whether or not the outcomes of non-emergent and isolated coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) differed between the low- and high-volume hospitals for the patients who are at different levels of surgical risk. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study that used the 2002 data of the national health insurance claims. The study data set included the patient level data as well as all the ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure codes that were recorded in the claims. The patient's biological, admission and comorbidity information were used in the risk-adjustment model. The risk factors were adjusted with the logistic regression model. The subjects were classified into five groups based on the predicted surgical risk: minimal (<0.5%), low (0.5% to 2%), moderate (2% to 5%), high (5% to 20%), and severe (=20%). The differences between the low- and high-volume hospitals were assessed in each of the five risk groups. Results: The final risk-adjustment model consisted of ten risk factors and these factors were found to have statistically significant effects on patient mortality. The C-statistic (0.83) and Hosmer-Lemeshow test ($x^2=6.92$, p=0.55) showed that the model's performance was good. A total of 30 low-volume hospitals (971 patients) and 4 high-volume hospitals (1,087 patients) were identified. Significant differences for the in-hospital mortality were found between the low- and high-volume hospitals for the high (21.6% vs. 7.2%, p=0.00) and severe (44.4% vs. 11.8%, p=0.00) risk patient groups. Conclusions: Good model performance showed that insurance claims data can be used for comparing hospital mortality after adjusting for the patients' risk. Negative correlation was existed between surgery volume and in-hospital mortality. However, only patients in high and severe risk groups had such a relationship.

  • BLDCMs are widely used in many industries. In certain specialized areas, they need to have high efficiency, high power rate and produce a low volume of noise, etc. In this study, a new type of slotless BLDCM is proposed that has no cogging torque, low iron loss and low volume as compared to commonly used BLDCMs. With a high performance magnet and coreless compact winding structure similar to those employed in linear synchronous motors, motor volume is reduced. The proposed motor has been put been through various experiments arid has demonstrated acceptable results for industry applications.

  • 직접 volume rendering 방식에서 좋은 해상도의 이미지를 얻기 위해서 계산되는 많은 trilinear interpolation은 고성능 그래픽 워크스테이션이나 특별한 목적의 하드웨어 사양을 요구하며 제한적으로 구현이 되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 PC 그래픽 하드웨어 상에서 2D-Texture를 이용하여 volume rendering을 MRI head set 영상을 적용하여 구현해 보았다. 또한 최근에 지원되는 PC 그래픽 보드의 multi-texturing성능을 이용하여 volume rendering 할 수 있는 방법을 보여준다. 이러한 OuenGL 확장 기능을 이용하여 픽셀 연산과 rendering 성능을 PC 기반에서 항상 시켜 보았다.

브래지어 컵 치수 설정과 착용 전후의 유방 부피 분석 (Establishment of Brassiere Cup Size and Analysis on Breast Volume)

  • This paper analyzes how to measure breast volume and the change in breast volume after wearing a brassiere. Measurement using a breast replica is used to measure the breast volume of 41 women in their twenties. The rate of persons having flat and hemispherical breast are high. The majority of subjects are size 75A, 80A, and 75B, and their under-bust size is 70. The current size specification should be refined for fitting according as the girth under bust decreases. The correlation between breast volume and the circumference of the breasts was high. It was more reliable to set up the cup size of a brassiere using the breast circumference. The mean breast volume is 263.68cc (nude) and the total volume wearing brassiere is 342.05cc. The volume difference according to wearing a brassiere is 78.37cc, which is less than the brassiere volume itself. The results show, the less breast volume of a subject, then the greater volume in wearing a brassiere.

Improvement of bond strength and durability of concrete incorporating high volumes of class F fly ash

  • This study experimentally investigated the improvement of bond strength and durability of concrete containing high volume fly ash. Concrete mixtures made with 0%, 25% and 60% replacement of cement with class F fly ash were prepared. Water-binder ratios ranged from 0.28 to 0.72. The compressive, flexural and pullout bond strength, the resistance to chloride-ion penetration, and the water permeability of concrete were measured and presented. Test results indicate that except for the concretes at early ages, the mechanical properties, bond strength, and the durability-related chloride-ion permeability and water permeability of concrete containing high volume (60% cement replacement) fly ash were obviously superior to the concrete without fly ash at later ages of beyond 56 days. The enhanced bond strength for the high volume fly-ash concrete either with or without steel confinement is a significant finding which might be valuable for the structural application.

NiAl/Ni 미세적층복합재료의 고속변형거동 (High Strain-rate Deformation Behavior of NiAl/Ni Micro-laminated Composites)

  • High strain-rate deformation behavior of NiAl/Ni micro-laminated composites was characterized by split hopkins on pressure bar(SHPB). When the strain rate increased, the compressive stress of micro-laminated composites were increased a little. When the intermetallic volume fraction increased, the compressive stress of micro-laminated composites increased linearly irrespective of strain rate. Absorbed energy during the quasi-static and SHPB tests was calculated from the integrated area of stress-strain curve. Absorbed energy of micro-laminated composites deviated from the linearity in terms of the intermetallic volume fraction but merged to the value of intermetallic as the strain rate increased. This was due to high tendency of intermetallic layer for the localization of shear deformation at high strain rate. Microstructure showing adibatic shear band(ASB) confirmed that the shear strain calculated from the misalignment angle of each layer increased and ASB width decreased when the intermetallic volume fraction. Simulation test impacted by tungsten heavy alloy cylinder resulted that the absorbed energies multiplied by damaged volume of micro-laminated composites were decreased as the intermetallic volume fraction increased. Fracture mode were changed from delamination to single fracture when the intermetallic volume fraction and this results were good matched with previous results[l] obtained from the fracture tests.
