The Study on Thermal Performance Evaluation of Building Envelope with VIPs

  • Purpose: The energy consumption in buildings has continuously increased in some countries and it reaches almost 25% of the total energy use in korea. Therefore there are various efforts to minimize energy consumption in buildings, and the regulations on building envelope insulation have been tightened up gradually. To satisfy the building regulation, the use of vacuum insulation panels(VIPs) is increasing. VIP is a high performance insulation materials, so that it can be thinner than conventional insulation material. When VIP is applied in a building, it may cause thermal bridge, which occurs due to very low thermal conductivity compared to other building materials and the envelope of VIPs. Method: This study designed the capsulized VIPs using conventional insulation for reduction of the thermal bridge. Then designed VIPs were applied to a wall. The linear thermal transmittance and the effective thermal conductivity were analyzed by HEAT2 simulation program for two dimensional steady-state heat transfer. The result compared with a wall with non-capsulized VIPs. Result: It analyzed that the wall with capsulized VIPs had lower linear thermal transmittance and reduced the difference of the effective thermal transmittance with one dimensional thermal transmittance compared to that of the wall with non-capsulized VIPs.

창호의 투과율과 블라인드 슬랫각도에 따른 빛환경 및 에너지성능 비교 연구 (Comparative Studies on Lighting Environment and Energy Performance depending on the Transmittance of Window and Slat Angle of Blind)

  • Recently, curtain wall structure is constructed according to increasing high rise building. Glass is usually used in opening of curtain wall structure and window area ratio is finally increased. Excessive Daylighting and solar radiation by large window area ratio cause discomfort glare and add to cooling load in the case of office that is heavy on lighting and cooling. Therefore, this study suggests to use low transmittance window for solve those problems. Indoor lighting environment and building energy performance were analyzed by increasing transmittance from 10% to 90% and comparing fixed venetian blind. Consequently, the range of transmittance that is possible to daylighting and prevent discomfort glare. Secondary energy consumption is efficient in the case that transmittance is the range of from 20% to 50%, primary energy consumption is nice on from 20% to 40%. If those result put together, the range of window transmittance from 30% to 50% is proper in the office in lighting environment and energy consumption aspects.

기능성 피복재가 토마토 생육 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of High Performance Greenhouse Films on Growth and Fruit Quality of Tomato)

  • 본 연구는 일반적으로 이용되는 EVA 필름과 비교하여 폴리올레핀(PO), 불소, 방적, 방무, 보온필름 등의 기능성필름이 토마토의 품질에 어떤 영향을 미치는 가를 구명하고자 하였다. 분광투과특성에 있어 자외선은 불소필름이 가장 많았고 PO필름이 가장 적었으며, PAR는 불소, 보온, PO필름 등이 많았으며, 근적외선도 EVA에 비해 기능성필름이 많은 경향이었다. 전체광선의 투과율은 불소, 방무, 방적, PO, 보온, EVA 순으로 높았다. 하우스 내 주간온도는 광투과율 차이에 의해 불소필름이 가장 높고 EVA가 가장 낮았으며, 야간온도는 필름이 두꺼운 방적 및 PO필름이 가장 높게 유지되었다. 기능성필름은 EVA에 비해 과실 당도가 $0.2{\sim}0.5^{\circ}Bx$ 더 높았고, 과실 내 라이코펜 함량이 $15{\sim}30%$ 높게 나타났다. 따라서 토마토의 당도, 라이코펜 함량 등의 품질향상을 위해서는 일반필름 대신에 기능성필름을 이용하는 것이 효과적일 것으로 판단되었다.

졸-겔법을 이용한 고투과율 유리 박막의 제조 (Preparation of High-Transmittance Glass Thin Films by the Sol-Gel Process)

  • 고투과율 박막을 제조하기 위하여 실리콘 알콕사이드와 붕산을 출발물질로 사용하고 dip-coating 기술을 이용하여 현미경을 슬라이드 유리 위에 박막을 제조 하였다. 시간에 따른 졸의 정도를 조사하여 박막의 두께를 조절하였고, $B_2O_3$의 량을 5, 10, 15, 20 mol%로 변화하여 박막을 제조하였다. 조성변화에 따른 박막의 가시영역에서의 투과율과 적외선 투과율을 측정하였으며, 이에 따른 박막의 굴절율 변화를 조사하였다. 15 mol% 의 $B_2O_3$가 첨가 되었을 때 가시영역에서의 투과율은 최대였으며, 굴절율은 최소값을 나타냈다. 그러나 20mol%의 $B_2O_3$가 첨가되면 오히려 투과율이 감소하였으며, 우리는 이를 굴절율과 연관지어 설명하고자 한다.

고온 광학특성 평가 기법 (Estimation of Optical Properties under High Temperature Conditions)

  • 적외선 투과 특성을 이용하여 광학 창 등으로 사용되는 세라믹 재료들은 광학적 특성이 잘 공개되어 있지 않다. 통상적으로 사용되는 굴절률 시험기를 이용하여 고온 세라믹 재료의 굴절률을 측정하는 것은 매우 어렵기 때문에 특별한 방안이 도입되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 간접적인 방법을 통해 고온 조건에서 세라믹 재료의 광학특성을 평가하는 실용적인 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 평가대상인 세라믹 재료 샘플을 요구되는 고온 조건을 유지하기 위한 시스템을 제작하여 광분광기에 장착하였다. 이 시스템을 이용하여 온도를 변화하며 시료 온도에 따른 투과율을 측정하였다. 이렇게 측정된 투과율 데이터는 Sellmeier 분산식을 적용하는 광학 시뮬레이션 모델에 적용되어 굴절률 자료를 산출하는데 사용된다. 이 시뮬레이션 모델은 시행착오법을 이용하여 Sellmeier 분산식에 포함되는 변수들을 찾는데 이용된다. 이를 이용하여 굴절률을 계산하며 그 값을 이용하여 다시 투과율을 계산하고 그 결과를 측정된 투과율과 비교하여 그 결과가 일치할 때까지 반복하여 그 온도에서 재료의 변수로 정하였다. 이 방법을 사파이어 재료에 적용하여 그 결과를 상온에서 공개 데이터와의 비교를 통해 검증하였다.

수정체 광투과에 대응하는 LPE Filter 설계 (Layout of Long-pass-edge Filter Correspond with the Optical Transmission in Crystalline)

  • 소의 수정체의 광투과, 흡수 Spectrum을 Spectrophotometer로 200-800nm 영역에서 측정하였다. 자외선 A-B선 모두 흡수되고 400nm 영역에서 광투과 edge가 나타나고, edge 영역보다 큰 파장에서는 완전투과형 filter가 되었다. 특히 $4^{\circ}C$-$60^{\circ}C$온도에서 광흡수 투과율의 온도조성은 없었다. 박막 설계로부터 long-pass edge filter형인 $n_0/(0.5H)L(LH)^6(0.5H)/n_s$$n_0{\mid}(0.5LH0.5L)^kL/1.25{\mid}4.0$ 박막 구조가 소의 수정체 광투과 Spectrum과 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 인공수정체, 안내렌즈의 설계시 박막구조 설계를 추가함으로써 자외선 차단 역할을 할 수 있다.

유전율 이방성의 음인 액정을 이용한 Fringe-Field Switching mode의 cell gap 변화에 따른 전기광학 특성 (Cell Gap Dependent Electrode-Optic Characteristics of Fringe-Field Switching Mode using a Liquid Crystal with Negative Dielectric Anisotropy)

  • The FFS (fringe-field switching) mode was known to exhibit both a wide viewing angle and high transmittance, especially when using a liquid crystal with negative dielectric anisotropy. We have studied cell gap-dependent electrode-optic characteristics of the FFS mode using the LC with negative dielectric anisotropy. In case of a small cell gap of 2 ${\mu}$m, the transmittance at the center of pixel and common electrodes is relatively low because effect of surface anchoring that holds the LC to the initial state is larger than that in a large cell gap of 4 .urn such that the LCs in those regions cannot rotate enough. However, in case of a large cell gap of 4 .urn, the effect of surface anchoring becomes relatively small so that the LCs at the center of pixel and common electrode can be twisted enough by applied voltage, giving rise to high transmittance. Therefore, we can conclude that the light efficiency is dependent on the cell gap.

  • In general, Light-hardening polymer was used UV nanoimprint technology. A light-hardening polymer was had the problem of poor hardness, durability. In order to overcome the problem of polymer, inter change optical glass. However glass is very manufacture and a lowering of standars transmittance. In order to glass recover was necessary polishing process. The process is magnetorheological fluids polishing. MR polishing has been developed as a new precision finishing technique to obtain a fine surface. Hence, Magnetorheological fluids has been used for micro polishing to get micro parts. This polishing process guarantees high polishing quality by controlling the fluid density electrically. The applied material in experiments is fused silica glass. Fused silica glass is widely used in the optical field because of high degree of purity. For MR polishing experiments, MR fluid was composed with DI-water, carbonyl iron and nano slurry ceria. The wheel speed and electric current were chosen as the variables for analyzing the characteristics of MR polishing process. Outstanding surface roughness of Ra=1.58nm was obtained on the fused silica glass specimen. And originally glass transmittance was recover on the fused silica glass.

고효율 태양전지용 a-IZO 박막의 전기적 및 광학적 특성 최적화에 관한 연구 (Optimization of Electrical and Optical Properties of a-IZO Thin Film for High-Efficiency Solar Cells )

  • The deposition of indium zinc oxide (IZO) thin films was carried out on substrate at room temperature by RF magnetron sputtering. The effects of substrate temperature, RF power and deposition pressure were investigated with respect to physical and optical properties of films such as deposition rate, electrical properties, structure, and transmittance. As the RF power increases, the resistivity gradually decreases, and the transmittance slightly decreases. For the variation of deposition pressure, the resistivity greatly increases, and the transmittance is decreased with increasing deposition pressure. As a result, it was demonstrated that an IZO film with the resistivity of 3.89 × 10-4 Ω∙cm, the hole mobility of 51.28 cm2/Vs, and the light transmittance of 86.89% in the visible spectrum at room temperature can be prepared without post-deposition annealing.

  • There has been growing interest and rapid development in transparent electrode films, which are flexible and light and used in mobile, simple information, and electronic devices, and based on recent advancements in nano technology, information technology, and display technology. In particular, studies on developing such films with both high conductivity and high transmittance of visible rays are highly in demand for commercialization. In this study, transparent electrode films were developed for IT using micro patterns that show sheet resistance less than 10 Ω/□, adhesive strength more than 98%, and light transmittance more than 90%. The results of applying a surface emission gradient minimization (Honey Comb) technology to the films was the verification of the sheet resistance, adhesive strength, and light transmittance satisfying the target level of this study through Imprinting and Remolding processes.
