In Korea, the volume of insurance industry has been increased rapidly with helping the economic growth, the increment of GNP and derive of public welfare policy. But the other side of the volume increment, the life insurers have some problems, such as the high rate of turnover, lapses and surrenders, in processing of acquiring more insurance contracts. The object of this paper is the analysis of the causes and properties of the high rate of turnover, lapses and surrenders using statistical survival model. Also we hope that the insurers will use the results of analysis to reduce the rates.

In this letter, the constant driving power reduction ratio has been achieved for column drivers regardless of the input image by incorporating a new static power reduction scheme into the previous dynamic power reduction method. The measured power reduction ratio is around 50% for a 120 Hz liquid crystal display panel in such cases of still input video and fallback.

For high data rate transmission over wireless fading channels, space-time trellis ceding techniques can be employed to increase the Information capacity of the communication system dramatically. In this paper, we consider the concatenated space time LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) codes. Extra ceding gains In addition to the diversity advantage is shown to be achieved for certain space-time trellis codes transmitted over quasi-static lading channels.

For this analysis, actual channcl measurement model of indoor office areas such as JTC model was adopted, and cllanncl coding of IEEE 502.11 and channel equalizer over multipath environment are also considered.

초고속 프레임(Super High Frame Rate, HFR)은 관객에게 탁월한 이미지의 우월성을 전달한다. 그럼으로써 실제 눈으로 보지 못한 장면의 생생함을 통해 작품성에 기여하는 것이다. 이에 연구자는 영화에 나타난 초고속 프레임의 장면을 통해 시각적 효과를 분석하고자 한다. 특히 를 중심으로 초고속 프레임의 특징을 분석하여 향후의 작품제작에 기여하고자 한다.

High reliability of automatic speaker recognition regardless of voice conditions is necessary for forensic application. Audio recordings in real cases are not consistent in voice conditions, such as duration, time interval of recording, given text or conversational speech, transmission channel, etc. In this study the variation of verification error rate of ASR system with the voice conditions was investigated. As a result in order to decrease both false rejection rate and false acception rate, the various voices should be used for training and the duration of train voices should be longer than the test voices.

This paper describes a new LOS(Line-of-Sight) estimator for BTT missiles. The dynamic models of LOS rate and a seeker are derived. Based on these dynamic models, we design a nonlinear estimator, which takes into account roll motion of BTT missiles and sensor noises. Simulation results show that the LOS rate estimates of the proposed estimator are more accurate than those of the conventional estimator.

A downstream oxygen plasma is generated by capacitively coupled RF power and applied to photoresist stripping. Stripping rate (ashing rate) is measured in terms of RF power, chamber pressure, oxygen flow rate and temperature. Ashing reaction is thermally activated and depends on oxygen radical density. The ashing process is optimized to have the high ashing rate, good uniformity and minimal plasma damage using a statistical method.
