고낙차 펌프-터빈에서의 축계 진동 특성 (Characteristics of the Shaft Vibration in a High Head Pump-Turbine)

  • This paper describes the shaft vibration phenomena measured on a pump-turbine ofa pumped storage power plant. The pump-turbine runs at a rotational speed of 450 rpm (7.5 Hz). The power output (load) of the pump-turbine was varied from 100 to 300 MW in the generating mode. It was found that the magnitude of the shaft vibration was highly dependent upon the power load. The vibration magnitude of the shaft vibration is very high in the middle load zone from 170 to 210 MW, elsewhere the vibration low. From vibration spectra, it was found that the frequency of major vibration in that load zone was 2.5 Hz which is approximately $34\%$ of the shaft rotating speed in Hz. This frequency component disappeared below and above that load zone. This subsynchronous vibration is caused by the flow induced disturbance due to spiral vortex flow downstream of the pump-turbine runner. Furthermore, it was found that shaft vibration was highly decreased due to the increase of bearing preload.

  • Mutiresolution proportional-integral-derivative(MRPID) 제어기는 웨이브렛 기반의 다해상도 응답을 이용해서 에러 신호에 포함되어 있는 잡음과 외란을 제거하는 필터 역할을 해준다. 다해상도 응답의 특징상 샘플링 주파수가 높을 경우 상대적으로 고주파성분이 남아있음으로 인해 응답속도가 떨어지는 대신에 오버슈트가 제거되고, 낮을 경우 신호 성분이 제거되므로 인해 응답속도가 향상되지만 오버슈트가 증가 되는 결과를 보였다. 본 논문에서는 proportional-integral-derivative(PID) 제어기와 MRPID 제어기의 응답을 이용한 샘플링 주파수를 설정하는 기법과, MRPID 제어기의 특성을 고려한 파라미터 설정기법을 제안한다. 모의실험을 통해서 제안된 기법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

고밀도 디스크 드라이브의 적응형 공진 보상 알고리즘 (Adaptive Suppression of Mechanical Resonance in High-Density Disk Drives)

  • The band-width of disk drive servo system is rapidly increasing for the robustness to external disturbance as the track density is increasing. The increase of the band-width may cause mechanical resonance of an actuator. In disk drive servo system, a notch filter is usually used to suppress the mechanical resonance of the actuator. However, the resonance frequency differs from drive to drive because of manufacturing tolerance and varies with temperature even within a single drive. The variation of resonance frequency degrades the suppression performance of the notch filter. In this paper, we present an adaptive digital notch filter that identifies the resonance frequency of the disk drive servo actutaor precisely and adjusts automatically its center frequency. For this, we design an adaptive FIR digital filter for the estimation of the resonance frequency. The estimation filter identifies the resonance frequency adaptively using the output signal generated from the servo system, which is excited with an excitation signal including all the expected resonance frequency components. We prove mathematically the convergence of the resonance frequency estimation filter. Furthermore, in order to demonstrate the practical use of our work, we present some experimental results using a commercially available disk drive.

  • This paper describes the novel real-time embeded Dynamic System Monitor(KDSM) for dynamic device modeling and disturbace monitoring. The KDSM uses the variable resampling technique together with DFT algorithm so that it overcomes the shortcomings of the existing DFT algorithm at the big deviation of network frequency. The suggested algorithm is implemented by using the NI-PXI system, and verified by applying to the generator testing.

RF front-end Module for On-Line UHF Partial-discharge Monitoring System

  • A RF front-end module is designed for GIS(Gas Insulated Substation) which is employed for effective and efficient very high voltage transmission. Major advantage of the unit is improved PO detection sensitivity through minimizing the effect of surrounding interference signals, which is achieved by controlling the gain and the selection of the frequency band, for the precise detection of any UHF PO (Partial Discharge) disturbance occurred in the GIS due to some unwanted problems. For the development of the module, various switches for providing selected signal paths, wideband LNA, 3 BPF for selecting detection frequency band, and video detector are designed, fabricated and measured on 1 mm FR4 substrate with various RF components. The detection sensitivity of the unit was <-60 dBm that is sufficient to detect UHF PO signals as low as 1 pC. It is believed that the value is enough to detect the signal occurred in GIS.

  • This paper describes the application of sliding mode control based on the variable structure control(VSC) concept for high-performance position control of an induction servo motor A design method based on external load parameters has been developed for the robust control of AC induction servo drive. Also, a slip frequency vector control with software current control technique has been adopted to achieve fast response of an induction motor drive The position control scheme is comprised of a variable structure controller and slip frequency vector control for inverter fed induction servo motor. Simulated results are given to verify the proposed design method by adoption of sliding mode and show robust control for a change of shaft inertia, viscous friction and torque disturbance.

  • The Output feedback linear quadratic regulator control is applied to the design of active suspension system using 7 DOF full car model. The performance index reflects the vehicle vertical movement, pitch and roll motion, and minimization of suspension stroke displacements in the rattle space. The elements of gain matrix are approximately decoupled so that each suspension requires only local information to generate the control force. The simulation results indicates that the output feedback LQ controller is more effective than purely passive or full state feedback active LQ controllers in following the road profile at the low frequency range and suppressing the road disturbance at the high frequency ranges.

  • This paper has been studied the parallel resonant inverter which controlling the constant power and tracking the load resonant frequency with PLL is possible, in order to minimize switching losses. The current-fed full-bridge type parallel resonant inverter of an induction heating system was composed of IGBT in switching device. For regulating the output power of an induction heating system, the Fuzzy controller is used. The Fuzzy controller makes the control signal for a stable power regulating control and when reference is changed, it is superior to adaptability. It has been evaluated a stable behavior for a noise with switching and a load disturbance.

  • 층류 비예혼합 분류 화염에서 다양한 주파수와 강도로 외부에서 유동장에 자극을 주었을 때 화염의 배출특성과 거동에 대해서 실험적으로 조사하였다. 먼저 일정한 관 공명 주파수에서 가진 강도를 가변시켜 난류화염 된 부상화염에서 질소산화물 배출 지수($EINO_x$)를 측정하였다. 또한, 가진 강도가 일정한 상태에서 주파수를 0 Hz에서 높은 주파수인 2 KHz까지 다양한 주파수 조건으로 가진된 한 경우에도 질소산화물의 배출지수를 측정하였다. 큰 가진 강도의 관공명 주파수로 가진된 경우 부상된 난류화염에서 $NO_x$ 배출 특성은 다음과 같이 크게 세 가지 형태의 특성을 보였다. Group I의 화염에서는 공간적인 섭동이 크며 비교적 화염길이가 길고 높은 $NO_x$ 배출 특성을 보였으며 Group II에서는 상대적으로 짧은 길이와 좁은 폭의 화염거동에 낮은 $NO_x$배출 특성을 보였다. Group III에서는 약간 긴 화염길이에 매우 큰 화염체적으로 상당한 높이까지 시ㆍ공간적으로 섭동이 큰 운동양태로 부상되는 거동과 가장 높은 $NO_x$ 배출 특성을 보였다.

DOB-based piezoelectric vibration control for stiffened plate considering accelerometer measurement noise

  • This paper presents a composite control strategy for the active suppression of vibration due to the unknown disturbances, such as external excitation, harmonic effects and control spillover, as well as high-frequency accelerometer measurement noise in the all-clamped stiffened plate. The proposed composite control action based on the modal approach, consists of two contributions including feedback part and feedforward part. The feedback part is the well-known PID controller, which is widely used to increase the structure damping and improve its dynamic performance close to the resonance frequencies. In order to get better performance for vibration suppression, the weight matrixes is optimized by chaos sequence. Then an improved disturbance observer (IDOB) as the feedforward compensation part is developed to enhance the vibration suppression performance of PID under various disturbances and uncertainties. The proposed IDOB can simultaneously estimate the various disturbances dynamically as well as measurement noise acting on the system and suppress them by feedforward compensation design. A rigorous analysis is also given to show why the IDOB can effectively suppress the unknown disturbances and measurement noise. In order to verify the proposed composite control algorithm (IDOB-PID), the dSPACE real-time simulation platform is used and an experimental platform for the all-clamped stiffened plate active vibration control system is set up. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness, practicality and strong anti-disturbances ability of the proposed control strategy.
