Development of an Electronic Greenhouse Gas Emission Management Platform: Managerial Implications

  • Purpose: The Emission Trading Scheme (ETS), which enables structuring emission credits as a financial product, is taking a crucial position of global collaboration against climate change. Previous studies that have covered ETS subjects from the macro perspective contribute to facilitating legal enactment of this scheme. However, they have rarely addressed challenges aligned with issues arising from labor burdens for ETS works from the business perspective. Research Design, data and methodology: This study presents conceptual models that are expected to help design an electronic system. The study model contains four modules: emission allocation, data interface, reduction technology sharing, and emission trading. Two validation approaches, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and regression analysis, are applied in confirming the feasibility of the proposed model. Results: This study suggests an IT system methodology to help improvement of the current K-ETS mechanism. In particular, this study addresses effectiveness for real businesses and the adaptability of this mechanism to other nations. Conclusions: The proposed IT platform diagram can contribute to successful operation of ETS by providing multiple benefits to participating companies through in-house allocation mechanisms, the soft-landing of ETS adoption to participating companies through reduction of technology-sharing, group purchases, and transaction costs through the trading system.

Effects of Organizational and Interpersonal Relations on Job Satisfaction of Social Workers

  • Purpose - In this study, the importance of interpersonal relations in the workplace as well as its correlation to satisfaction of social workers were investigated. In addition, effects of organizational culture as well as its implications for human resource management in social welfare workers were outlined. Research design, data, and methodology - A questionnaire was conducted on job satisfaction measured by the Minnesota Job Satisfaction (MSQ) questionnaire. For reliability, the questionnaire was distributed and collected by the self - filling method. From the collected data, reliability analysis, validity analysis (exploratory factor analysis) and multiple regression analysis were used. Cronbach's alpha was used to measure the reliability of the measurement variables and validity analysis was conducted to see if the questionnaires had the same concept as well as SPSS 19.0. Results - The results showed that group culture, hierarchical culture, and rational culture had significant positive effects on job satisfaction. Developmental culture had no effect on the job satisfaction levels. Conclusions - It is important to maintain the hierarchy in order to improve the efficiency of social welfare organizations, but social welfare organizations must accept external opinions and actively listen to the opinions of the employees in the organization.

간호근무환경, 조직문화유형, 업무의 양과 속도가 간호사의 감정노동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Work Environment, Organizational Culture and Demands at Work on Emotional Labor in Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among work environment of nursing, nursing organizational culture, demands at work and the emotional labor in clinical nurses. Methods: A convenience sample of 241 registered nurses was obtained from two hospitals. Data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire during December, 2014. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlations and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 21.0. Results: The mean score for emotional labor was $3.36{\pm}0.48$, for work environment of nursing, $2.44{\pm}0.36$, and for innovational-orientation, $2.95{\pm}0.56$: Relation-orientation, $3.34{\pm}0.62$, Task-orientation, $2.95{\pm}0.53$, and hierarchy-orientation, $3.41{\pm}0.49$, The score for quantitative demands was $3.02{\pm}0.56$, and for work pace, $3.76{\pm}0.76$. In multivariate analysis, factors related to emotional labor were work environment of nursing, innovational-orientation and work pace. Conclusion: Findings from this study indicate the need to evaluate and improve the work environment for nurses to decrease emotional labor.

SMR/AHP 기법을 활용한 국방핵심기술 연구개발사업 성과평가지표 개발 (The Development of Evaluation Indicators for the Performance of Defense Core-Technology R&D Projects Using SMR/AHP)

  • Currently, the investment on Research and Development(R&D) for defense core technology is continuously increasing to maintain advanced country's R&D level. In accordance with this trend, the national defense R&D investment management system is being more strengthening, and importance of performance evaluation is being emphasized more and more. However, the existing indicators of performance evaluation for defense core technology R&D is limited in efficient management because of the qualitative evaluation items and subjective allocation of points. In this paper, we developed a novel indicator for defense core technology R&D performance evaluation through domestic and foreign related literature and inquiry, brainstorming, and analysis techniques by Stepwise Multiple linear Regression(SMR) and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). And we verified effectiveness of proposed indicators of performance evaluation by comparing with the existing evaluation indicators. Our proposed indicators for performance evaluation will create superiority performance on defense R&D fields.

대학병원 중환자실 간호사의 전문직 삶의 질 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Professional Quality of Life in Intensive Care Unit Nurses of University Hospitals)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to identify the factors influencing the professional quality of life of intensive care unit (ICU) nurses working in university hospitals. Methods : A survey was conducted on 171 ICU nurses in university hospitals in B City, South Korea. This study used the Professional Quality of Life instrument, which consists of three subscales, namely, compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress. Data were analyzed using stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results : Compassion satisfaction was influenced by resilience, ICU job satisfaction, and innovation-oriented culture, and these variables explained 37.1% of the variance in compassion satisfaction. Burnout was influenced by resilience, a hierarchy-oriented culture, and ICU job satisfaction, and these variables explained 42.9% of the variance in burnout. Secondary traumatic stress was influenced by a task-oriented culture and resilience, and these variables explained 12.5% of the variance in secondary traumatic stress. Conclusion : These findings suggest the importance of improving resilience and job satisfaction to enhance the professional quality of life in ICU nurses. Moreover, creating an innovation-oriented culture rather than a hierarchical and task-oriented culture can effectively improve the professional quality of life of ICU nurses.

수직적 계층 및 직종별 프렌드십 수준과 직무만족, 조직몰입, 직무스트레스의 관계 (The Relationship Between Friendship Level by Hierarchy and Occupation and Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment and Job Stress)

  • In this study, we investigated the relationship between friendship level within a hospital organization and job satisfaction, organizational commitment and job stress. Focusing on the hierarchy and occupation of a hospital, different from previous introductory studies. As a study tool, structured questionnaire were devised and used. The subjects were nurses, administrators and medical technicians who worked at 17 tertiary hospitals in Seoul and Kyongin area. To analyze the data, we conducted frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis.The main results of our study can be summarized as followings:Firstly, seen from the viewpoint of social demographic characteristics, on the whole friendship level with fellows is the highest, and then that with subordinates and that with bosses the lowest. Secondly, the friendship level with bosses, subordinates and fellows had a significant relationship with job satisfaction, organizational commitment and job stress, though there were some differences among them. In case of junior managers, the friendship level with fellows had a significant relationship with job satisfaction and organizational commitment; in case of middle managers, the friendship level with fellows had significant relationship with job satisfaction. We found that the friendship level with the bosses had a deeper relationship with job satisfaction, organizational commitment and job stress as we went down the hierarchy. Thirdly, analyzing the differences between occupation, administrators and medical technicians had relatively higher significant relationship with the friendship level with bosses than nurses in job satisfaction, organizational commitment and job stress. High friendship level with the bosses influenced job satisfaction significantly for the nurse; yet, in case of administrators and medical technicians, the friendship level with bosses influenced all of job satisfaction, organizational commitment and job stress. Based on our study, we recommend facilitating friendly relationship between the bosses and the subordinates in order to enhance job satisfaction, organizational commitment and job related stress reduction.

얼굴 특징점의 지각적 위계구조에 기초한 표정인식 신경망 모형 (A neural network model for recognizing facial expressions based on perceptual hierarchy of facial feature points)

  • 얼굴 특징점의 지각적 위계구조를 반영한 표정인식 신경망 모형을 설계하였다. 입력자료는 MPEG-4 SNHC(Synthetic/Natural Hybrid Coding)의 얼굴 정의 파라미터(FDP) 중 39개 특징점 각각에 대해 150장의 표정연기 사진을 5개의 크기와 8개의 바위를 갖는 Gabor 필터로분석한 값이었다. 표정영상에 대한 감정상태 평정 값과 39개 특징점의 필터 반응 값을 중가 회귀분석한 결과, 감정상태의 쾌-불쾌 차원은 주로 입과 눈썹 주변의 특징점과 밀접한 과련이 있었고, 각성-수면차원은 주로 눈 주변의 특징점과 밀접한 관련이 있었다. 필터의 크기는 주로 저역 공간 주파수 필터와 감정상태가 관련이 있었고, 필터의 방위는 주로 비스듬한 사선방위와 감정상태가 관련이 있었다. 이를 기초로 표정인식 신경망을 최적화한 결과 원래 1560개(39x5x8) 입력요소를 400개(25x2x8)입력요소로 줄일 수 있었다. 표정인식 신경망의 최적화 결과를 사람의 감정상태 평정과 비교하여 볼 때, 쾌-불쾌 차원에서는 0.886의 상관관계가 있었고, 각성-수면 차원에서는 0.631의 상관관계가 있었다. 표정인식 신경망의 최적화 모형을 기쁨, 슬픔, 놀람, 공포, 분노, 혐오 등의 6가지 기본 정서 범주에 대응한 결과 74%의 인식률을 얻었다. 이러한 결과는 사람의 표정인식 원리를 이용하면 작은 양의 정보로도 최적화된 표정인식 시스템을 구현할수 있다는 점을 시시한다.

Development of Indicators for Information Security Level Assessment of VoIP Service Providers

  • VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a technology of transmitting and receiving voice and data over the Internet network. As the telecommunication industry is moving toward All-IP environment with growth of broadband Internet, the technology is becoming more important. Although the early VoIP services failed to gain popularity because of problems such as low QoS (Quality of Service) and inability to receive calls as the phone number could not be assigned, they are currently established as the alternative service to the conventional wired telephone due to low costs and active marketing by carriers. However, VoIP is vulnerable to eavesdropping and DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack due to its nature of using the Internet. To counter the VoIP security threats efficiently, it is necessary to develop the criterion or the model for estimating the information security level of VoIP service providers. In this study, we developed reasonable security indicators through questionnaire study and statistical approach. To achieve this, we made use of 50 items from VoIP security checklists and verified the suitability and validity of the assessed items through Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA) using SPSS 18.0. As a result, we drew 23 indicators and calculate the weight of each indicators using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The proposed indicators in this study will provide feasible and reliable data to the individual and enterprise VoIP users as well as the reference data for VoIP service providers to establish the information security policy.

위계문화가 임파워먼트 및 조직유효성에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구 -건설산업 중심으로- (A Study on the effect of Hierarchical culture of Construction Industry to the Empowerment and Organizational Effectiveness)

  • 본 연구는 건설기업들의 위계문화가 임파워먼트, 조직유효성 간의 관계를 실증연구를 통해 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해서 서울, 수도권, 비수도권 건설기업 임직원을 대상으로 설문조사분석을 하였으며 분석방법으로 SPSS의 기술통계, 신뢰도분석, 요인분석, 다중회귀분석 등을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 검증결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 위계문화는 조직유효성에 유의적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 둘째, 위계문화는 임파워먼트에 유의적인 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 위계문화와 임파워먼트는 조직유효성에 유의적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과로 국내의 건설 산업의 위계문화는 건설업의 특징적인 관점에서 직원들 사이의 상명하복의 정신과 목표의식, 자기결정력 채택이 중요하며, 또한 조직몰입도, 직무성취도에 도움이 될것이라 생각된다.

비정규직 청년의 근무환경과 건강영향의 요인에 관한 연구 (Study on the Factors Working Environment and Health Effects of Contingent Workers Youth)

  • 우리나라 비정규직 청소년의 노동 시장이 지속적으로 증가하며, 불안한 요소가 지속적인 환경의 변화로 건강상의 문제로 변하고 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 비정규직의 청년 근로자의 근무환경이 건강문제에 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 제4차 근로환경조사 자료를 활용하여 청소년 근로자(15세~29세) 4,322명 대상으로 통계 분석하였다. 통계 분석은 SAS 버전 9.4(SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA)로 이루어 졌으며, t 검정, NOVA 및 다중 회귀 분석을 하였다. 그 결과 개인, 일반 특성 (환경 노동자), 근무 시간, 건강 문제 중심으로 보았으며, 요통의 주요한 인자로 보고 있으며 risk가 2.7배 증가하며 (p=0.0202), 근육통(어깨, 팔, 목 등)에서는 risk가 1.4배 증가하는 등으로 건강에 직접적인 영향을 주고 있다. 결론은 우리나라의 청소년 근로환경이 계층의 차별성과 다양한 불만이 이루어 질 수가 있는 근로환경의 조건의 삶이 질의 변화가 필요 할 것이다.
