R452B 냉매 적용 물대물 지열원 히트펌프 유닛의 냉난방 운전 성능 특성 (Heating and Cooling Performance Characteristics of a Water-to-Water Heat Pump with R452B Refrigerant)

  • Refrigerant having high global warming potentials will be phased out due to environmental protection issues. R410A has been widely used in geothermal heat pump. However, it has a little high GWP by 2088 value. One of the recommended substitute for R410A refrigerant is R452B which having a GWP by 698 value. In this paper, the heating and cooling performance of the water-to-water geothermal heat pump unit with R452B was experimentally investigated. The performance of the heat pump adopting R452B was also compared with the system applying R410A. The heating and cooling capacity of R452B heat pump system showed a slightly lower values within 2% comparing with R410A system. However, the R452B system's coefficient of performance was enhanced by 5.2% and 13.7% at heating and cooling mode, respectively.

  • The effect heat treatment (autoclave) on nutritional value of winged bean as compared to soybean has been investigated. The winged bean and soybean were obtained from local cultivar grown in Indonesia. The beans were autoclaved at $120^{\circ}C$ for 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes, respectively before being ground for chemical analysis. Trypsin inhibitors of winged bean and soybean decreased (p < 0.05) along with decreasing of urease activity as heating time increased from 0 to 90 minutes. Heat treatment significantly (p < 0.05) reduced protein solubility in 0.2% potassium hydroxide of winged bean as well as soybean. In vitro protein digestibility was significantly (p < 0.05) improved by heating treatment (15 to 60 min of autoclaving), however, excessive heating (90 min of autoclaving) decreased the digestibility of winged beans. Excessive heating had adverse effect on lysine, cystine and methionine contents of winged beans. The results of this study suggested that autoclaving at $120^{\circ}C$ within 45 minutes should be adequate to remove protease inhibitors and could improve protein digestibility of winged beans.

Inactivation Kinetics of Listeria innocua ATCC 33090 at Various Temperature Heating-up and Pressure Building-up Rates

  • The effects of temperature heating-up rate and pressure building-up phase on the inactivation of Listeria innocua ATCC 33090 were evaluated in buffered peptone water. The number of L. innocua was reduced by 5.57 and 6.52 log CFU/mL during the nonisothermal treatment (the come-up time followed by isothermal process) and the isothermal treatment, respectively, at $60^{\circ}C$. When compared to the isothermal treatment (0.76$33.2^{\circ}C/min$ of temperature heating-rate. The effect of the combined high pressure and thermal processing on the inactivation of L. innocua increased with increasing pressure and temperature. At all temperature levels from 40 to $60^{\circ}C$ under 700 MPa, L. innocua was not detected by enrichment culture (>7 log reduction).

동부 앙금 호화액의 흐름 성질 (Flow Properties of Gelatinized Cowpea Flour Dispersion)

  • 동부앙금(6~9%)을 연속가열법과 순간가열법으로 각 온도(80, 85, 90, 95$^{\circ}C$)에 도달시키고 20분간 유지시킨 다음 호화액의 흐름성질을 회전점도계를 이용하여 회전속도 6~180rpm, 측정온도 6$0^{\circ}C$의 조건에서 분석하였다. 호화액은 항복응력을 가진 의가소성 유체의 성질을 보였고 각 전단속도에서의 전단응력값은 순간 가열호화액이 연속가열호화액 보다 컸다. 순간 가열호화액은 농도와 가열온도에 관계없이 연속 가열호화액보다 항복응력과 점조도 지수값이 컸고 흐름지수 값은 작았다. 점조도 지수의 대수값은 농도와 가열온도와 정의 상관관계 (p<0.05)를 보였다. 동일한 농도에서 순간 가열호화액은 연속 가열호화액보다 가열온도에 따른 점조도 지수의 대수값의 증가 속도가 컸다.

병영시설의 태양열급탕시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Solar Water Heating System in the Military Facilities)

  • The performance of two typical types of solar hot water heating system was tested in Seoul. Types of systems studied are single-tank internal external heat exchanger system and single-tank internal heat exchanger system. Comparing to experimental results, a transient system simulation program was made to analyze the performance of the selected system. The climate data, Standard Weather Year for Seoul, required for the simulation was provided. Computer simulations were used to estimate the effect of significant parameters upon system performance. The followings are obtained. 1. In the domestic solar water Heating system, the value $20-40kg/m^2\;h$ for flow rate through the collector is much better than the recommended value $72kg/m^2\;h$ in the solar heating system. 2. The effectiveness of collector heat exchanger and storage tank size are found to have only a small effect upon system performance. 3. The hot water draw pattern has a significant effect on system performance. A higher system efficiency achieved when draw-off occurred around noon than when it occurred around early morning. Using the above results, the reference solar hot water system which provides $300\ell$ of hot water per day, was selected as a guide for designer. And simplified graphical method was developed based on the modified f-chart method to determine required collector area. When the system design parameters of the proposed system differs from the reference system, required collector area can be calculated from area adjustment factors.

수소기관에서의 배기가스에 관한 연구 (Study on Emission Characteristics in a Hydrogen-fueled Engine)

  • The goal of this research is to understand the NOx emission in direct injected diesel engine with premixed hydrogen fuel. Hydrogen fuel was supplied into the test engine through the intake pipe. Amount of hydrogen-supplemented fuel was 70 % basis on heating value of the total input fuel. The effects of intake air temperature and exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) on NOx emission were studied. The intake air temperatures were varied from $23^{\circ}C$ to $0^{\circ}C$ by using liquid nitrogen. Also, the exhaust gas was recirculated to the intake manifold and the amount of exhaust gas was controlled by the valve. The major conclusions of this work include: ( i ) nitrogen concentrations in the intake pipe were increased by 30% and cylinder gas temperature was decreased by 24% as the intake air temperature were changed from $23^{\circ}C$ to $0^{\circ}C$; ( ii ) NOx emission per unit heating value of supplied fuel was decreased by 45% with same decrease of intake air temperature; and (iii) NOx emission was decreased by 77% with 30% of EGR ratio. Therefore, it may be concluded that EGR is effective method to lower NOx emission in hydrogen fueled engine.

  • Gasification has been regarded as a core technology in dealing with environmental pollutants and in obtaining higher efficiency for power generation. Among several ways in utilizing produced syngas from gasification, power generation would be the most prominent application. Syngas from coal was applied to the readily available LPG engine from automobiles. Main purpose was to identify the combustion characteristics in the modified gas engine when using syngas of low heating value and to test the modification optionsin the LPG gas engine. Gas engine rpm and the corresponding flue gas composition were measured for each syngas input condition. Results showed that even with syngas at the heating value of $1300{\sim}1800$ kcal/$Nm^3$ corresponding to the $6{\sim}7%$ of LPG heating value, gas engine operated successfully only with the problems of high CO and oxygen concentrations in the flue gas.

Performance of a 2 Room Multi-Heat Pump with a Constant Speed Compressor

  • In order to improve the performance of a 2 room heat pump with a constant speed compressor, the optimum refrigeration circuit of the heat pump with different cooling and heating capacities is developed by applying capillary tubes. The refrigeration circuit is composed of four parts; a heating circuit, a cooling circuit, a by-pass circuit and a balance circuit. The performance of the 2 room heat pump are investigated from a rating experiment and a reliability experiment, using the calorimeter. Results of the rating experiment show that the capacity of heat pump is about $93\%$ of the design value. In particular, the capacity of the cooling single operation is about $13\%$ higher than the design value, and the capacity of the heating multi operation is about $5\%$ higher than the design value. From the reliability experi-ment, it is found that the lowest driving voltage of the compressor is about $75\%$ of the rating voltage. Also the compressor is reoperated normally under the flood back and the over load.

  • This paper studies the mechanical behaviors of Sn-3.5Ag solder joint against substrate(such as Au/Ni/Cu, Au/cu, Ni/Cu and Cu pad) after induction heating, a new soldering method. It was found that the solder bump formation depends on the time and current of the induction heating system. Also the heating value of the solder bump were found to vary with respect to the thermal conductivity of the pads on the substrate. In case of Au/Ni/Cu pad and Au/Cu pad, solder bump's shear strength were high for the heating time of $1.5{\sim}2sec$. For Ni/Cu pad, solder bump's shear strength were found to increase with time increment.

Metal Bearing 마찰용접면의 기계적 성질에 관한 연구 (A study on mechanical properties of friction weld interface in metal bearing)

  • In this study, to make research on its optimum condition in friction weld when the heating pressure is change during 1.6 to 3.0 $kgf/mm^2$, the experiment was performed with metal bearing under various condition; 1600 r.p.m spindile speed, 0.6 $kgf/mm^2$ preheating pressure, upset pressure 2.6 $kgf/mm^2$, 0.5 seconds preheating time, 1.7 seconds heating time, water and air was ejected 6 $kgf/mm^2$ into the bushing. On the basis of the experimental results, the following conclusion are drawn; 1) At the area of weld interface, the heardness is shown the maximum value and heat-affected zone about 0.5mm both sides. 2) Bending strength is shown the optimum heating pressure 2.4 kgf/mm. 3) With the approach of the flash, Sn is increased only 2 mm in A-alloy structure.
