ITO 증착용 인라인 챔버 온도 분포해석에 의한 캐리어장치의 설계 (Carrier Design by Temperature Distribution Analysis in Chamber of ITO Deposition Inline Sputter)

  • The design of the glass-carrier was studied using simulations of the temperature distribution of an ITO deposition inline-sputter process. The temperature distribution was simulated in Heating Chamber 7, and in the ITO Deposition Chambers 8 and 9. The temperature distribution of the glass sheets was low in both the lower and upper lines. Moreover, it was observed that the temperature in Chamber 8 significantly affected the temperature in Chamber 9, and that the latter was hotter. The rear of the chambers were subjected to more heating than the fronts, so the temperature range at the back was wider. Redesigning the shape of the carrier made it possible to load more glass sheets on the glass carrier, and to make deposits on the ITO glass at higher temperature, over a wider area.

  • The temperature distribution in a surface of diesel particulate filter(DPF) was measured using an infrared temperature camera. In order to regenerate the DPF, five partitioned electric heaters were used for heating the ceramic filter. The five partitioned heaters were switched on/off with some time interval one the other. The surface temperature distribution in the ceramic filter and electric heaters were measured with varying both the electrical power supply to the heaters and the mass flow rate of the air supply from a blower. The higher mass flow rate in the DPF system enhanced the uniformity in the surface temperature distribution of the ceramic filter due to effective convection heat transfer. The flow in the monolith ceramic structure of the DPF move mainly in the axial direction, which could be identified from the surface temperature of the ceramic filter.

  • Effect of angle of supply air on cooling and heating performances of office space is studied by numerical simulation. For a constant air volume(CAV) air-conditioning system, air is supplied vertically($90^{\circ}$) and horizontally($10^{\circ}$). Due to buoyancy, the supply angle affects the performance of cooling and heating. In cooling, since the cold supply air tends to move downward due to its high density, horizontal supply angle is better for uniform temperature distribution. In heating, however, vertical supply angle is preferred for better mean and uniform temperature distribution.

LNG선 Heating Coil의 설계를 위한 Cofferdam내 열정산 (Heat Flux Calculation for Thermal Equilibrium of Cofferdam in a LNG Carrier)

  • 멤브레인형 가스운반선의 경우 화물창들 사이에 cofferdam을 두어 격리시키고 있는데 이 경우 극 저온 액체 화물의 영향으로 cofferdam 실내 온도는 약 $-40^{\circ}C$내외로 떨어지게 된다. 그 결과 cofferdam 및 화물창을 구성하는 bulkhead는 구조 부재로서의 허용 강도를 만족하는 온도를 유지할 수 없게 된다. 결국 heating system을 사용하여 cofferdam 실내 온도를 최소한 $5^{\circ}C$까지 올려야 하는데, 소요 pipe의 길이 산정을 위한 heat flux 산출과 pipe의 배치가 우선적으로 요청된다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 설계 조건에서의 cofferdam 내 heat flux를 각 compartment들 간의 연성 효과를 고려하여 구하고 이를 기존 계산서들과 비교 검토하여 그 타당성을 검증하였고 이를 토대로 heating system에 필요한 pipe의 길이를 산정하였다. 아울러 현재의 heating system의 대안으로 fin을 부착한 pipe로 구성된 heating coil system을 제시하고 그 효율을 비교하였다.

전자기 유도가열식 단결정 성장로의 온도 구배제어에 있어 복사열 전달의 효과 (Effect of Radiation Heat Transfer on the Control of Temperature Gradient in the Induction Heating Furnace for Growing Single Crystals)

  • In order to fabricate high-quality SiC substrates for power electronic devices, various single crystal growing methods were prepared. These include the physical vapor transport (PVT) and top seeded solution growth (TSSG) methods. All the suggested SiC growth methods generally use induction-heating furnaces. The temperature distribution in this system can be easily adjusted by changing the hot-zone design. Moreover, precise temperature control in the induction-heating furnace is favorably required to grow a high-quality crystal. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the heat transfer in these furnaces to grow SiC crystals. As the growth temperature of SiC crystals is very high, we evaluated the effect of radiation heat transfer on the temperature distribution in induction-heating furnaces. Based on our simulation results, a heat transfer strategy that controls the radiation heat transfer was suggested to obtain the optimal temperature distribution in the PVT and TSSG methods.

초음속 유도탄 동체와 날개의 공력가열 해석 (Aerodynamic Heating Analysis of Supersonic Missile Body and Fin)

  • Missile operating at supersonic conditions experiences considerable high temperature environments that is caused by aerodynamic heating as a result of the temperature gradient through boundary layer that surrounds it. This is one of important problems to the designer due to temperature limitation of structural materials. Because prediction of aerodynamic heating on missile needs unsteady calculation according to a flight trajectory, approximate method approach is efficient at design stage. In this paper, improved aerodynamic heating analysis scheme is introduced, which calculates heat flow and temperature by simple pressure field prediction on a missile body and fin. The prediction results are compared with measured data and MINIVER codes results.

  • In order to prevent crack in thick weld zones, the preheating process such as induction and gas torch heating needs to be applied. Among them induction heating is the most effective heat source because it has rare thermal effect and very rapid heating characteristics. In this paper, when the induction heating method is used to improve arc welding, the temperature distribution and magnetic field density of the welding zones are analyzed by simultaneously solving heat transfer and electromagnetic field equation. In particular, cone and flat type coils are designed and induction heating effects of each type are compared to identify heating characteristics on a V-groove weld joint. As a result, a cone shape coil is more efficient in the preheating process. When induction heating and arc welding system is designed for thick plate with V-groove weld joint, the results in this paper could be applied.

  • The temperature distribution of a glass plate heated in the infrared heating chamber has been investigated. Temperature of the glass panel is measured using a set of thermocouples and the optical pyrometer. Temperatures measured by thermocouples have good agreement with those by the pyrometer. The temperature uniformity of the panel is improved with wall reflectivity, which is one of the important factors to uniformly heat the panel

  • In this study, we developed a heat supply control algorithm that minimizes the heat loss in the heat distribution pipelines used for supplying heat energy to shared group housing. Controlling the temperature and flow rate of the hot water supplied to the heat exchanger for shared group housing enables us to develop a heat supply control technique that meets the heating load required by each household in a shared apartment building in accordance with changes in the outdoor air temperature, and that minimizes the heat loss occurring in the heat distribution pipeline. A one-year study in 2008 on a 1,473-household D-apartment building in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, compared the heat capacity used by each household, as well as the heat capacity supplied to the heat exchanger room of the apartment housing building, to calculate the amount of heat loss in the heat distribution pipeline. The results confirmed that 24.1% of the heat supplied was lost in the piping.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 대공간의 난방시에 발생될 수 있는 분포상의 문제점을 실측실험을 통해 확인하여, 궁극적으로는 대공간의 열환경 개선과 효율적인 난방설계를 위한 기초데이터를 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 인체부하 미고려시의 동절기 대공간의 실내온열환경 실측실험을 비난방시와 난방시로 구분하여 실시하였으며 공간내 수평 및 상하온도분포특성, 취출기류의 거동특성, 실내쾌적온열환경 특성, 환기량 평가 등 대공간의 실내열환경을 포괄적으로 검토하였다.
