  • Recently inappropriate aggregates are used as a raw material for ready-mixed concretes, due to the shortage of natural aggregate resources and the prohibition of their extraction for the environmental protection. We, therefore, have conducted experiments to obtain some knowledge of properties of domestic aggregates and to investigate subsequent changes in the properties of the fresh and hardened concretes. To this end, aggregates currently used in 13 domestic ready-mixed concrete plants were collected. Most of aggregate used in this experiment satisfied the KS in density and unit weight. But some of the aggregates have the particle size distribution that can effect bad influence on concrete. In this experiment the aggregates are found to have a bad particle size distribution, resulting in high amount of a unit water content and a unit cement content in concrete.

  • In this study, it does a high volume flyash substituted concrete experiments in two curing temperature circumstances - 35$^{\circ}C$, 2$0^{\circ}C$. High volume flyash concrete is tested in fresh concrete properties and hardeded concrete properties. In the fresh concrete test items, there is slump, air contents, concrete setting tests. 3, 7, and 28 days water curing compressive strength is measured in the hardened concrete test. The purpose of this study is to submit a various flyash concrete data for application to field. The result of this study is that the best strength is developed at the plain concrete cured 2$0^{\circ}C$ and Mixing F43 shows the best strength among specimens which cured at 35$^{\circ}C$

  • Continued form part 1, this study is aimed for analyzing the property of hardened concrete According to the replacing change of fly ash and silica fume which has influence on the properties of high performance xoncrete. From the test results, the compressive and the drying shrinkage Strength are high when the replacing ratio of silica fume increases and the tensile strength appears high when the replacing of fly ash increases.

  • In order to discuss the mechanical properties of carbon fiber reinforced polymer impregnated cement composties with silica powder, experimental studies on CFRC were carried out. The types of fiber used which are in CFRC are PAN-based carbon fiber and Pitch-based carbon fiber. To examine the effects of types, length, contents of carbon fibers and matrices, their properties of fresh and hardened CFRC were tested. According to the test results, compressive, tensile flexural strength of polymer impregnated CFRC were remarkably increased more than that of air cured and autoclaved CFRC. Also, polymer impregnated CFRC were considerably effective in improving thoughness, freezing-thaw resistance and loss of shrinkage compared with air cured and autoclaved CFRC.

The types of fiber used which are in CFRC are PAN-based carbon fiber and Pitch-based carbon fiber. To examine the effects of types, Lengths, contents of carbon fibers and matrices, their properties of fresh and hardened CFRC were tested: According to the test results, the process technology of lightweight CFRC is developed and their optimum mix proportions are successfully proposed. Also, it can be conclueded that the reinforcement of carbon fiber is considerably effective in improving tensile strength, flexural strength, toughness and loss of shrinkage of CFRC compared with conventional mortar.

  • This study examined the effects of comparatively widely used fine aggregates in the domestic construction fields on the quality of concrete through the analysis of the effects of such fine aggregates on the physical properties of fresh concrete and strength of hardened concrete. Results revealed that crushed sand degrades the fluidity and air entraining of concrete compared to natural aggregates like sea sand and river sand. Especially, the use of crushed sand exhibiting low grain shape and grade was seen to have larger adverse effect on the physical properties of concrete.

  • The main object of this study is to examine the basic properties of fresh concrete as well as hardened concrete using several types of cement such as ordinary portland cement, sulphate resisting portland cement, blast furnace slag cement, ternary blended cement. In addition, effects of each cement on the durability including drying shrinkage, freeze-thawing resistance, resistance of chloride ion penetration, carbonation of concrete were investigated. As the results of this study, it was proved that most of the properties of concrete using each cement were similar, but there were some differences in bleeding, setting time, resistance of chloride ion penetration and carbonation.

  • In this research we made the mean cement particle size 4 $\mu\textrm{m}$ which can penetrate even minor cracks based on the theory of J.K. Michel who reported particles can penetrate the crack of width up to 3 times of maximum particle size. The cement slurries were produced by adding super plasticizer. The slurries were tested with slurry characterization methods and its rheological properties were characterized. The early hydrated phenomena of ultra fine cement were observed by SEM, XRD and DSC during 24 hours. Mechanical properties of hardened slurry with JIS molds were also tested in 3, 7 and 28 days. The cracked specimens which were repaired with slurries produced various conditions were tested after 3, 7 and 28 days curing in the air and adhesion properties were characterized.

  • The objective of in this study makes investigation into the characteristics of concrete as to properties and blended ratio of crushed aggregates through experimental researches. In this research observed crushed quality characteristic of crushed aggregates that is produced in representative stony mountains of Busan suburbs (Yang-san, Kim-hea, Jin-hea). And wished to investigate the quality change and characteristics of concrete with variation of blend ratio of crushed sand(50, 60, 70, 80, 90, $100\%$). Measured the air contents and slump to investigate properties of fresh concrete, and unit weight and compressive strength in age of 7, 28, 60, 90 days to investigate properties of hardened concrete.
