  • The paper illustrates a possible application of control theory to an economic growth system. Simultaneous nonlinear system of differential equations has been modeled which is different from the traditional formulation, based on the theory of economic growth for a two-sector (dual) economy. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the optimal control are derived directly from the Hamiltonian, and the optimal controls are also obtained by solving simultaneous equations. Obtaining the trajectories of the optimal control and state variables, however, should rely on the numerical procedures. Empirical application has been conducted for the case of the Korean economy as an illustration.

  • The time optimal position control scheme based on the Pontryagin's minimum principle is proposed in the current source inverter(CSI) fed induction motor system. The field oriented induction motor system is modelled with a second order plant and a switching curve is obtained by solving Hamiltonian equation. The validity of time optimal control solution has been verified by experimental tests carried out with a prototype MC68000 based microcomputer system, and 5Hp induction motor. Experimental results are in a close agreement with those the digital simulation ones.

  • Single particle orbit in plasma is obtained by drift Hamiltonian formulation in magnetic coordinate. The collisional effect is implied by Monte Carlo Method and the velocity space diffusion, energy transfer to the back ground plasma and the variation of energy distribution of test particles are investigated from many particles analysis.

  • This paper deals with the linear quadratic optimal regulator problem for descriptor systems without performing a preliminary transformation for a descriptor system. We derive a generalized Riccati differential equation (GRDE) based on the two-point boundary value problem for a Hamiltonian equation. We then obtain an optimal feedback control and the optimal cost in terms of the solution of GRE. A simple example is included.

  • We propose a variational wave function for the ground state of the magnetic heavy fermion (HF) systems, in which both the Kondo and the RKKY interactions are variationally incorporated and the local f-orbital state exists as a linear combination of a full local moment state and a fully compensated state (mixed wave state). We describe the mechanism for the mixed wave ground state based on the large-N treatment of the Kondo lattice Hamiltonian added with RKKY interaction. With the mixed wave ground state we can explain several puzzling experiments in magnetic HF compounds such as a small value of local moment, coexistence of the antiferromagnetic (AFM) and the paramagnetic (PM) phases, local quantum criticality, etc.

  • The TSP(Traveling Salesman Problem) is one of the most widely studied problems in combinatorial optimization. The most common interpretation of TSP is finding a shortest Hamiltonian tour of all cities. The objective of this paper proposes a new heuristic algorithm MCH(Multi-Convex hulls Heuristic). MCH is a algorithm for finding good approximate solutions to practical TSP. The MCH algorithm is using the characteristics of the optimal tour. The performance results of MCH algorithm are superior to others algorithms (NNH, CCA) in CPU time.

  • In this paper, the interaction of electron and phonon in metals is expressed using Hamiltonian operator as follows. By excahnging phonon energy with in the vicinity of isotropical Fermi surface and using following electron and hole operators. We obtain the interaction of electron and phonon. And new Feynman Graphs are tried with the following conditions on. First, when state transfer state, phonon cannot be created. Second, when state transfer state, phonon cannot be destroyed. Third, when state transfer state, phonon can be created or destroyed. Fourth, when state transfer state, phonon can be created or destroyed.

  • The paper presents a momentum-based regressor by using Hamiltonian dynamics representation for robotic manipulator. It has an advantage in that the proposed regressor does not require the acceleration measurement for the identification of dynamic parameters. Also, the identification algorithm is newly suggested by solving a minimization problem with constraint. The developed algorithm is easy to implement in real-time. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed momentum-based regressor and identification method is shown through numerical simulations.

  • It is explicitly shown that a supersymmetry structure exists in the spectrum of a rigid symmetric top rotor in the molecule-fixed frame. Using projection operators constructed from the time-reversal symmetry of the rotor, the full rotor Hamiltonian is separated into two parts, i.e., the bosonic and fermionic components. The construction, without ambiguity, suggests that the rotor has a supersymmetry in it. This supersymmetry is mathematically equivalent to that of the free rotor on a plane recently noted by Rau.

  • In dealing with transformation group, topological approach is very natural. But, it is not sufficient to investigate geometric properties of transformation group and we need geometric method. Frankel-McDuff Conjecture is very interesting in the point that it shows struggling between topological method and geometric method. In this paper, the author suggest generalized Frankel-McDuff conjecture as a topological version of the conjecture and construct a counterexample for the generalized version, and from this we assert that topological method does not work for Frankel-McDuff Conjecture.
