A Study of Hindu God's and Goddess' Hairstyle

  • This study has begun as to identify various forms of personified Hindu deitiesand its goal is to understand the symbols of Hindu which are the backgrounds of the modern Hindu culture and present the hairstyle images of ancient Indians through the Hindu deities of the era. Scope of the research has been determined to six major deitiesamong those from Hindu culture that affect the Indian society and the images of Hindu deitiesappeared in the Indian miniatures and sculptures were studied as times changed. The deities could be identified by symbols maintained in common by each divinity as the Hindu deities were diversified through the long history. Examining the transitions in hairstyles and headstyles of Hindu deities, hair shapes of spiraling curls were expressed in the ancient Hindu sculptures from $2^{nd}$ century to $6^{th}$ century due to the influence of early Indian Buddhism. In Hindu paintings from $15^{th}$ century to $19^{th}$ century, beards and sideburns were expressed in male deities due to the influence from Mugul arts, while feminine characters were emphasized in goddesses with long loose hair. Works are each presented encapsulating the results of the researches on Vishnu and Lakshmi from these Hindu deities. It is attempted to find Hindu image and present directions for developments of modern beauty by supplying motives to modern hair design by researching the hairstyles of Hindu deities.

A study on the Morphological Changes of Hair after Treatment with Neutral Oxidative Dyeing Agent (중명도(中明渡) 산화염모제 처치 후 모발의 형태학적 변화 연구)

  • As the importance of the beauty to pursue beauty comes to the fore, the market size of hairdressing industry including hair dyeing is getting bigger. In case of continuously applying an oxidative dyeing agent commonly used in hair salons, as hair damage is inevitable, we investigated morphological changes of hair treated with a neutral oxidative dyeing agent. In the experiment results, Between the control and the 6N-7N experimental groups, there was a significant difference in Max. modulus and Tangential modulus according to Max. load, Max. stress, Max. elongation, Break load, Break stress, Break elongation, and strain section. There were the highest values in Max. load, Max. stress, Max. elongation, Break load, Break stress and Break elongation in the control group, and there was no tendency to decrease significantly according to the treatment of the experimental group. Max. modulus and Tangential modulus according to the strain evaluation section did not show a tendency to increase or decrease constantly, although there was a difference between the control and experimental groups. This study attempts to provide basic data for the development of oxidative dyeing agent that minimizes hair damage and to establish the foundation for understanding the correlation between hair designers' oxidative dyeing agent and hair health.

Analysis of Haircut Preference of Korean Women in Age of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4차 산업혁명시대 한국 여성들의 헤어커트 선호도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the preference of haircut according to demographic factors such as age, education, marital status, occupation, monthly income, and residence in order to contribute to the establishment of hair trends of Korean women living in the 4th industrial age. Respectively. After the questionnaire was distributed, 305 questionnaires were analyzed statistically. According to the results of the questionnaire survey, it was found that the higher the age group was, the higher the gradation pattern was, and the difference was statistically different according to the demographic characteristics (p<0.05). By analyzing the shapes and differences of female haircuts according to these demographic characteristics, we will contribute to the establishment of sophisticated and innovative hair trends of Korean women living in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Through this study, we can find the most ideal hairstyle for Korean women and it will be a starting point for development of various new and creative hairstyles. It is also used as basic data for hairdressing education and it will be actively used as an objective index that can express women 's personality clearly.

  • The purpose of the study is to look at the middle and high school student's recognition of beauty Arts. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability test, t-test, correlations analysis, from which the result is as follows. Firstly, the lower levels of beauty art are comprehensive interest, personal interest professional interest, effort type, management type and consumption type. Secondly, Beauty art interest and attitude by gender and school levels showed meaningful difference. Thirdly, there is meaningful correlations between beauty art interest and beauty art attitude.

(1) According to chignon's position and balance, up style compared and analyzed it. (2) Theme up style(wedding, evening, causal, han-bok, fusion show) compared and analyzed categorize. End of hair classified variation according to position and balance external image affected to it which bale on design component as a result, classified up-style reconstruct.

  • Wongyo Lee KwangSa (1705~1777) is a scholar and artist who represented an era in the period of change and revival of Korean culture and art in the 18th century. In 1755 (31st Yeongjo), he was transferred to Sinjido due to the Naju Byeokseo Incident, and died in exile for a total of 23 years. He tried to correct the problems of the flow of calligraphy in common writing and the flow of calligraphy in the Joseon Dynasty, and wrote 『Wonkyo Seogyeol』. By realizing an original artistic state that is evaluated as having completed the 'Dongguk Jinche', which is a unique and subjective and self-conscious calligraphic flow of the Korean people who wants to reestablish the essence of calligraphy, it has had an absolute influence on the Honam area. Wonkyo's calligraphy aesthetics are developed into the beauty of ChanggyeongBalsog based on Shimjin of Yangminghak, Yanggangmi of Power of controlling all the stands of brush hair, and Vitality of Push out the brush with all your might. He recognized free sculpting and energetic, muscular strokes as the key to calligraphy, and suggested honing the old tombstones written in JeonYe. Vibrant stroke means that Cheongi naturally permeates in the midst of Samgwa and Gilgok, and the brush is operated with Push out the brush with all your might of Power of controlling all the stands of brush hair. An Analysis of Aesthetic Characteristics in Fashion Style of Fashion Journalist Anna Wintour (패션 저널리스트 Anna Wintour의 의상 스타일 분석을 통한 미적 특성)

  • This study considers aesthetic characteristics by examining fashion style of fashion journalist Anna Wintour. Fashion journalists are specialists who work at fashion media. Especially, Anna Wintour is one of the most famous fashion journalist in the world and fashion icon, who has been editor-in chief of Vogue USA since 1988. For this study, Anna Witour's photograph was collected from 2010 to 2015 on web-sites. After collecting images, it analysed with 4criterions which were silhouette, color, fabric(pattern and texture) and hair style(and accessories) following advance researches analysis about fashion style. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, symbolism revealed that could express her identity through utilizing steady items such as blond bob hair, Chanel bold sunglasses, short round neckless and Manolo Blahnik's low-heeled slingback nude sandals. Especially, she gave consistency to her fashion style with fixed hair style and accessories which are similar in shape. Second, femininity, that reveal as an internal characteristic such as sensitivity and as an external characteristic like fluidity. Anna Wintour expressed femininity with elegant curvy silhouette, various of color and flower pattern. Particularly, she emphasized nature women's body shape with princess silhouette, slim silhouette. Third, analysis result indicated characteristic of authority with oversize silhouette, wide lapel details and glamorous genuine fur items. Furthermore, some of her fur items looked overwhelming which dyed in artificial color or printed with leopard pattern. These powerful items contained immanent meanings that are power and position which could express a role as an editor-in chief of Vogue USA.

The Effects of Physical Appearance of Business Women on their Career - Focused on the Women workers at Commercial Banks in Korea - (여성의 외모가 직장생활에 미치는 영향 - 은행근무 대상자를 중심으로 -)

  • With the women's education level higher and gender equality more promoted, women's opportunity of taking part in business is increasing. Entering the emotional age which counts self-image as being important, there is a view that woman's appearance has a direct relation to their social life. The research is to examine the hypothesis and important factors for women workers at banks for their successful career, that is, to verify the effects of women's appearances on their social life, furthermore, to help female applicants for a bank and the bank clerks have a desirable social life. The subjects were 200 male and 100 female bank clerks and the research was analyzed on the basis of a total of 300 questionnaires. The results are as follows: first, 52 percent of male subjects responded that the factors of "sociability" and "character and good manners" are the most important in social life, while 47 percent of female subjects answered the factor of "ability" is so. Second, 61.5 percent of male and 84 percent of female respondents answered that woman's appearance has a potent influence on their social life. Third, 76 percent of male and 90.9 percent of female respondents answered that when the companies employ woman workers, they take woman's appearance into consideration. It shows even at job interviews that good-looking applicants are in a better position, for bankers must consult with many customers and so their neat and tidy appearance such as their natural make-up and decent hair style (short-hair style) is one of significant factors to perform their jobs. Therefore, appearance managements are primary for women bankers to work at their workplace.

A Study on the Image of Women by Chinese Ancient Aesthetic View(I) - Focused on Tang-Song Dynasty - (중국 고대 심미관에 의한 여성 이미지 연구(I) - 당송시기(唐宋时期)를 중심으로 -)

  • This paper aims to analyze the different external images of women expressed in ancient artwork through the socio-cultural background and the aesthetic view during the Tang and Song dynasties of China. The research method contains a literature review involving the collection of historical literature, thesis, and artwork data. The image of women according to the aesthetic view of the two periods is summarized as follows. In terms of face shape, the Tang pursued a round face while the Song pursued a more slender shape. As for hair ornamentation, the Tang wore various shapes of hair buns like "Paojiaji", and decorated them with coronets. The Song wore various types of braided hair called "Tongxinji", but the coronets were smaller and more sophisticated. For makeup, the Tang wore colorful and heavy makeup and the Song makeup was lighter and more elegant. In attire, the Tang followed revealed shape, used splendid colors and thin, transparent material. The Song exhibited a more simple design and was conservative and neat, using luxurious silk fabric with low chroma. In body shape, the Tang pursued the "beauty of obesity" with a voluptuous body shape; the Song pursued the "beauty of gaunt" with a slim body shape. As the result of the analysis according to the aesthetic views of the Tang and Song dynasties, women of Tang were depicted as rich, and women of Song were rather neat. The research on the aesthetic views that changed according to the development of social civilization and the status of women will play an active role in the transmission and development of traditional Chinese culture. At this point, the paper may contribute to the creation of images of women as well as changes in the art of future generations.

  • All styles began to coexist by recognizing diversity and changeability instead of an absolute value system of beauty or truth in the general culture field of modern society. In other words, the characteristic of deconstructism, which breaks down the boundary between order, balance, style and genre within the texture, is brought out. This characteristic is also having an effect on the field of up style in a hair genre to secure the beauty of incompletion as the beauty of the present time, involving the beauty of ugliness in the boundary of beauty. This study aims at presenting new vision by applying deconstuctism to the up style to express as an original and experimental formative art with various expressive methods. In addition, it aims at being perfect for presenting the creativity and artistry through expressive techniques by formative factor of deconstructive up style to find new methods and directions to design concept with main expressive ability of deconstructive up style.
